I purchased these for a family member with arthritic hands. They are amazingly light-weight AND really beautiful colors. They don't scream plastic at all. Really! That is until you lift a "glass," and can't believe how light they are. In addition to the jewel-tone colors & light weight, the tumblers are also break-resistant. Knock them over, etc. They won't chip or crack. A first-rate product for someone who needs light-weight "glassware," just to have on hand, or for outdoor parties. You won't be disappointed. This is one instance where the photo is not as pretty as the product - not the other way around. I am not affiliated with US Acryllic, Optix, nor have I been compensated for this or any review.

Good purchase

I ordered for my teen boys & hubby. I'll be honest I only buy glass. I just got tired of replacing them due to my boys not being the most careful and my husband always taking a glass to work in his shop I thought it would be nice to not have to worry about breaking them. .I loved that these were made in USA and BPA free. Affordable pricing with 8 cups in a set. Two of each color. Great deal and I am pleased with my purchase. They are lite in weight. The only reason I gave 4 stars for durability is because the acrylic cups are a bit more thin than I hoped for. In time I'm hoping they hold up.

Perfect- 6 months later.

We've had ours for over 6 months, not one chip, crack or break. They've fallen are are generally abused by two teenage boys. These are the preferred cups, they don't like the "smudgy" glass ones they feel the design of this makes them get cleaner. They are stackable by 2 (height) and get generally clean in the dishwasher. There is sometimes a bit of standing water on the bottom from the dishwasher that needs to be dumped in the sink. We don't have the best dishwasher though, so a better heated dry cycle might work better. Wish the vendor would put MADE IN USA on the bottom of the glass.

Great for Patio Use!

I ordered these because I get hammered in my hot tub, and when I get hammered I drop things. I'm kinda stupid like that. Imagine my happiness about being able to--um, use--my hot tub and not have to sweep up glass the next morning! I'm happy to report that when these hit the concrete, they bounce and remain intact. #Winning Also, the colors are beautiful. They capacity is perfect. I highly recommend.

Lovely way to stay hydrated at work

I purchased the 20 oz set of these tumblers because of the lovely swirl design and the great colors. I sit at a desk all day and sometimes I get so wrapped up in my work, I forget to get up and get fluids to stay hydrated. This set, combined with a 2 quart Rubbermaid carafe, was my idea of a solution. Unfortunately, one of the greet tumblers arrived cracked from top to bottom. I contacted the seller, and they were *fantastic* - they immediately shipped another set. Great customer service, for sure. I'm happy to say, my solution works quite well. The carafe I found has a leak-proof lid and a filtered spout, so I keep iced fluids in that and pour into my 20 oz cup while I work. Everybody at work loves the cups (I put several in the break room so others can stay hydrated, too). Nice rim, beautiful colors and very stylish swirl pattern that looks like diamonds when you hold the glass up to eye level. I would never put these in a dishwasher because they're just perfect the way they are - I'd hate to see them become dull and powdery looking.

Pretty! Not child-like!

I love these tumblers, they have a beautiful design and I like having multiple colors (I don't care for the shade of green, but that's just me). These do not look like kids cups, I am fine with using these to serve guests at dinner parties without feeling like I am treating people like I don't trust them not to break my dishes.I bought these because I am starting to go blind and broke a glass when I missed the counter while trying to set it down. I am eventually going to switch as much breakable wear over to BPA free, made in the USA acrylics.

BEAUTIFUL LOOKING, QUALITY TUMBLERS, VERY REASONABLY PRICED

It may be a bit early for a review on these, however, I did want to mention that just out of the box they are BEAUTIFUL. I have been searching for plastic BPA Free tumblers and could not believe some of the prices for a set of tumblers. Most sets were of two or four. These sellers wanted (some of them) $25.00 to $35.00 and more for plastic China made tumblers ARE U SERIOUS? I do not like being gouged and I will expose them if too greedy. These are made in the USA look great, feel quality and I don't foresee any issues. Will keep you posted once I, "wash and wear"

Amazing.

These cups are amazing. I'll be muting more of these soon enough. They aren't too big, nor too small, they are just what we needed. The built quality is great I don't think they would break that easily. They are astetically beautiful. If your looking for good looking cups that won't break the bank or themselves, then look no further these are it.

Vibrant Water Glasses

Well I must have been having a double on the rocks when I suggested that the Optix Break-resistant Plastic glasses would be great by the pool, a gin and tonic or an on the rocks drink. The colors are very vibrant. They are great for the grandsons..Each grandson can identify his glass without using a new one every times he pours more juice instead of using another glass. If they break, who cares? And if they end up taking one home with them? Whatever!!. As for the adults we enjoy the Bodum glasses. A tad classer that the Optix Break-resistant plastic.

Certainly a durable item to be considered

Be advised that we have only recently received these glasses. At this point we really like them. They look great and the rims are smooth and comfortable. In the past Acrylic (or similar), while very durable, tended to develop a white residue on the surface over time. We can't comment on that having only had these for a week or so. We have had no problems with water being retained on the bottom after the dishwasher cycle is completed. One point to note - At the center of the bottom there is a small sharp point which is the left over entry point for the plastic into the mold. I touched this up with my Dremel tool running a small sanding disk. Most people might well choose to ignore this defect in hidden trimming.
