I purchased this small skillet to be used for a family of two. It works well and I am pleased with the purchase. The only negative is that the temperature control knob does not indicate temperature (i.e. 250*, 300*, 350*, etc.), but just 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. What was really interesting, though, was that the instruction manual told you to set it on 300* . . . and that would be . . . which number? I called the manufacturer and the best info I could get was that the number 3 was about 300* and you could move it up or down from there. I think each number must represent approximately 50* as eggs cook nicely on 2 (about 250*) and that is typically the temperature I set my electric griddle on for cooking eggs.

I love this little skillet! It's great for grilled cheese, burgers, sausage, eggs, etc. I'm a Flight Attendant and this has been so very handy when I'm staying in hotels. I can even take a frozen steak with me in my lunch bag and sear it in the skillet along with some veggies. No more $$$ meals and I feel more comfortable eating my own food. I can make whatever I want to eat. Fast clean-up and easily packed in my suitcase in between other clothes. I've had admiring comments about it when I tell others about some of the meals I've cooked in very little time. It's a real MONEY saver for me!

Love, love, love this skillet. It is the perfect size for a one or two person skillet anything. It heats evenly, quickly and maintains throughout each use. I own four other electric skillets, between ten and fourteen inches, for family and entertaining gatherings. Each is superb in performance and cost between $75 and $225. We needed (wanted) a small one for the two of us and didn't find many from which to choose. I was leery of this inexpensive item but decided to give it a try. I could not be happier. The finish is truly non-stick, cleans up easily and is a most welcome addition to our home.

The perfect travel companion. I travel 3 of 4 weeks a month. My little electric skillet helps me eat right and save $$. I make sure my hotel has a coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge and prepare the fresh foods I enjoy! The size is perfect, the assembly is simple, and the functionality is as advertised. Enjoy! Sunnyside up eggs, anyone?

This has been my life saver and that is not an exaggeration. As someone with severe food allergies (new and still scary) it's extremely important to have control over my cooking space, prevent cross contamination and more. This skillet let's me stay in control no matter what. It's small and perfect for me or me and my husband. It's easy to clean, travel with and cook on. I've made everything from breakfast to my Thanksgiving meal using this and it's been life changing. I keep it on the kitchen counter along with an air fryer and don't really need much else for most meals. I also have a backpack that I use when traveling so I can take my skillet with me along with seasonings and other cooking essentials.

So easy to clean, nice temp control. Small size perfect for extra small jobs (an egg or two, single servings) and I like the ability to turn it way down to keep something warm. I've used it to warm muffins because they stay so nice and moist and no need to wrap them in foil in the oven or dry them out in the microwave. *Note: had to return first one because it mysteriously stopped working shortly after getting it. Replacement has been used daily for several week now and is working great. Amazon did a very fast and painless return and reorder for me. I've had this for a year now and it gets a lot of use. It's still looks like new, and works great. I don't submerge it in water but do sometimes accidently use a metal fork on it. It remains unscratched. A great buy for the price.

I opened the box, read the instructions then seasoned the pan as directd. Easy. Then, I immediately made a terrific grilled cheese sandwich. This morning I prepared scrambled eggs, which cooked perfectly in this great sized skillet. I think this is going to be a much used item in my kitchen - no fuss cleanup, easy store. Love it.

--------------- Updates: Nov 2017 - Still work great after 6 months. Mom loves them (got her two). Bought me one. So we have 3 now. March 2018 - All working great. Non-stick fully intact on all. We use almost daily. -------------- I needed an electric skillet that is lightweight and easy to manage. This one got the best reviews so it was the one I selected. I have owned many Nesco products over the years and this was a plus. It arrived in perfect condition. I inspected the interior coating closely under light and there were no flaws, bubbles, damage. The entire coating was smooth to the touch. I cleaned it and oiled it prior to using it. The problem with many electric skillets is uneven heating. They get hot zones closer to the heating element plug area. As it heated, I used a scanning thermometer to check temps. As expected, the area near the plug heated first but by the time the pan came to expected temps, the temps were fairly even all over the pan. For a smaller pan, I expected this to happen and was pleased. The egg test: I wiped the interior with vegetable oil them removed the majority with a soft paper towel. On low-med heat, fried eggs cooked exceptionally well. No sticking whatsoever. I was also able to make pan toast easily. This pan is great for an elderly parent. It isn't too heavy nor too big to clean. Most of the time, it can be wiped clean with a soft paper towel. The glass lid is also easy to manage/clean. In fact, using two of these instead on one heavier unit seems to be the best plan. A countertop oven has also been a great help. So far, this pan has worked great.

I could have,,and have bought cheaper. We vacation a lot I need to plug in and go on the balcony to fry fish. Also we are empty nesters. (I hate that term) It's never empty over here. But I couldn't fry 3 pieces of fish and two onion rings in a 12" skillet (waste of oil) this is PERFECT.. The cheaper ones do do not not. Get hot or even enough , I love this and am buying another. Ya won't go wrong GOOD buy for me.

This little skillet is actually perfect for cooking for 1-2 people! So easy to clean up! I was concerned that the attached sign on the bottom of the skillet says "Do Not Immerse in Water," while the Nesco booklet says it may be washed in warm, soapy water! Because of this, I have not totally submersed the skillet in water. This really should be cleared up as it is sold as being water and dishwasher safe! Other than that, I am very pleased with the size and functionality of this skillet and will most likely be purchasing two more, one for our horse trailer and one for our fifth wheel camper. I should also note that there was an "odd electrical-type" smell when I used it for the first time, but it in no way affected the flavor of the food. I did wash it prior to use. Also of note is the fact that the control element I received has heat settings from 275 to 425 degrees. My omelet was perfect!
