I was worried when I felt how lightweight the hook is, but after using it for 6+ hours a day for a week or so I realized how wrong I was! The light weight is so beneficial for longer crocheting sessions, and really helps relieve/prevent strain. Very happy.

Bought one of these at a national chain craft store with a coupon on vacation and loved using it to crochet an infinity scarf. Unfortunately, left it behind in my loaner car and didn't realize it until it was too late to get it back. It is easy to hold and the yarn slides moves easily on the hook, unlike some of the aluminum ones I have. Will be using it to crochet prayer shawls and scarves for a local veterans organization and a free store that our church supports. Price here is very reasonable, too. It's also nice to see a high quality product for a reasonable price that it is not made in China.

I've been crocheting for 3 years. I've tried from the inexpensive hooks, Boye, Susan Bates, to the middle range Crochet Guy, to the more expensive Addi, passing through bamboo, rosewood, and other sophisticated wooden hooks. Nothing compares to the easiness of crocheting with Clover Amour hooks. For about a year I been using exclusively the Amour aluminum hooks in the only available sizes they had, No. 2.25 to No. 6 being the largest. When I saw they now had sizes 6.5 to 10 for thicker yarns I wanted to try one first before purchasing a set. I made the decision to buy the elusive, in the US market, No. 7. I was not sure what to expect because the hook was made of plastic instead of its aluminum smaller counterparts, but I was not disappointed, in fact, a week later I ordered sizes 6.5, 8, 9 and 10. To me, the Amour hooks are the most comfortable, smooth, perfect shaped hooks in the market. I only crochet with yarn so I have not tried the smaller steel Amour hooks.

The hook is smooth and does slide over the yarn easy, it is a very easy handle to hold and work with. The handle is round which fits the hand and takes the stress off your hand and wrist. Looks to be made of good quality and long lasting for many years if I can keep the pups away from it. They have chewed up my last two plastic ends and I refused to buy another whole bag of difference size needles when I only needed this size lol. The plastic or rubber seems to be stronger than the other ones I have bought. It might just hold up if the pup does get a hold of it. I am very happy with this one so I bought another one to set back just in case.

I purchased the 0.60 size and it is fantastic! Very sturdy, and easy to use. Perfect for dreading hair! Highly recommended.

I recently tried the Amour line and immediately fell in love with these hooks. They are so comfortable to use and the yarn glides over them. I was nervous about this one, since the larger hooks are plastic and not metal. It works just as well as the metal hooks and it is super light. I have been making many scarves with this hook and I am super happy with it!

My "J" (brown) hook was a recent addition to my growing collection of comfortable crochet hooks, allowing my arthritic hands more hours of pleasure!!

I was ordering a set of crochet hooks that included a multitude of sized because I needed some larger hooks, size 9 or 10 and this came up as an add on buy. I am happy as can be that I made this additional purchase. This hook is plastic with a rubber like grip. When ordering the other set, I hadn't given consideration to the weight of a metal hook in such a large size. This one is the MOST COMFORTABLE hook I own. Now I look for things I can crochet with this size hook. I am going to order more hooks like this one. Hoping they have the same hook in smaller sizes.

I’ve only been crocheting a couple years and so I don’t have much experience with many brands or the many different hooks they have out there. I had tried the plain aluminum hooks at first, which are too small and uncomfortable for me but the Clover hooks have been amazing and are very comfortable to hold and easy to use. They seem to go very smoothly. I’ve only worked with a few sizes so far but from the ones I have used I highly recommend these hooks!!!! Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine🙂

I have 4 other 8mm L hooks and this one is by far the best. It is lightweight, smooth and perfectly pointy for all projects. Im using with a double strand worsted weight and some hooks spilt the double strand, but this one does not. I couple metal hooks i have are super heavy and it is hard on my hards to crochet thick yarn and tight stitches. Im throwing out all of my other 8mm hooks. This is lightweight and awesome. Buy it is you like light hooks and need a big 8mm. Lightweight is definitely key when using heavy/thick yarn. Buy it, you wont be disappointed. Take it from someone who crochets for hours everyday to keep up with my etsy store orders.
