I play with it at work all the time

I play with it at work so much my office mate thinks I've developed OCD. Spins very well but because of my desk it can get a little noisy. May have to buy a spinning base.

I have to come clean with you, I’m 65 years old and I didn’t buy this toy for a child or grandchild, I bought it for myself. That was eight weeks ago and frankly, I’m hooked. So much so that I checked out the Foreverspin.com website, where there are many more to choose from, in a variety of materials, including copper, bronze, cast iron and sleek black zirconium to name a few. The top is among the world’s oldest toys and they’re not just for kids anymore. Each one of these little things is simple, elegant, timeless, enchanting and impossible to ignore. I keep my collection in the kitchen where they’ll be seen and spun. I love watching people’s faces light up when they give one a try. They might not spin forever (you knew that, right?), but they spin for a long time. Long enough for me to forget that I even spun one, only to be reminded when I hear it clatter to a stop. There is no arguing that this is a lot of money for a top. That said, not only is it gorgeous and the workmanship impeccable it is fun! Over the last 24 hours my 6 year old and I have been practicing and competing against each other. We are having so much fun that I sprung for a bronze one for him. After reading the reviews here and online you get what you pay for. This will not bend or break if it falls or gets dropped. This is a GREAT TOY to get back to the simple pleasures with.

great toy for the person that has everything! Though very simple these are fun toys for adults and can become very addicting,,, beware!!!!

This top was smaller than I expected. For some reason I pictured it as about an inch and a half in diameter or a bit bigger. It is small, only about an inch in diameter. But it spins amazingly well. The first time I tried it went 2 minutes and 52 seconds on our kitchen counter. I have not been able to get more than 3 and 1/2 minutes so far, but it is fun.

Novelty item.

I purchased these for my children for Easter. I also bought the base. My kids love them, especially my 15 and 10 year old sons. They played with them for hours today. I noticed some people wrote that they have difficulty getting them to spin. My sons didn’t have any problems learning how to make them spin. Planning on taking them with us when we go out to eat to keep everyone entertained.

After a good couple of tries

This top, to me, is worth having. It helps me focus on what I need to put more attention, such as my reading. After a good couple of tries, the top has not yet stopped spinning. Hahah
