Great bed replacement

My family has about a dozen hammocks and this is by far my favorite as a bed replacement. A couple years ago my husband was in a car accident and in a lot of pain with three herniated discs so I started looking for alternative sleep systems while he went through therapy. We tried this hammock outside and loved it. Then April 2016 we put several boat hooks in different studs in a downstairs bedroom so we can hook hammocks to sleep in on a regular basis. On any given night people in my family will choose to sleep in their beds, on the floor, or in a hammock in the hammy room. The hammock wins about 75% of the time in the warmer months and maybe 25% of the time December-February. It's been great for my husband's back pain and ability to sleep again, which affects every other aspect of life! 6 out of 9 people in my family prefer this hammock as a bed, 2 prefer a Mayan, and 1 little one prefers her 4ft rainbow Brazilian since she's grown out of sleeping with me in this one. I think the most we've piled into this hammock was 2 adults and 3 kids, maybe 500lbs total? But that was playing around during the day. We usually find it most comfortable to sleep individually. I like my camping parachute hammocks too and think they're comfy but they can be noisy and annoying indoors with lots of kids every night. The Brazilians are cozy and quiet. All Brazilian hammocks are not created equal! This particular hammock is my favorite. It's balanced well for a good diagonal lay, easy to get in and out of, and forgiving on the hanging distance and height in that a wide range of set ups still gives a comfortable lay. I thought I'd save money and try some cheaper Brazilian hammocks but ended up regretting it. Some are really deep with short, tight rails. Many have unbalanced arm cords so that one side rail is much lower than the other...I ended up good willing some and buying more of these. It's cheaper to just buy these to begin with plus they last a long time. I don't know how long because my original is still good. I've had to replace the 1inch webbing between the boat hook and carabiner but the hammock arm loops as well as the rest of it are still in great shape. Even though we have normal American beds we don't need them or use them much. Hammocks are much easier to put up/down than making a bed, cleaner and more comfy than a mattress, a peaceful place to chill or sleep, and simply cool and fun. I machine wash them regularly and they've held up well through lots of use and abuse. My kids even let a large muddy dog in my natural colored one and it washed up good as new. This is a great product that I paid full price for and own in all colors. They were well worth it. Couldn't be happier!

Please Dare to Change

Replacing a $2,000 memory foam mattress w/ a hammock? Sounds pretty ridiculous to most, right...? Call it whatever you'd wish, the switch was a life-changing one for myself. If you can get past being called a "Hipster" for wanting to sleep on a hammock nightly, please give it a shot. As a backstory for myself, I'm a 19 y/o who found preference in sleeping on a super-soft memory foam mattress when I was a younger teen. As I began working more on my feet & and as someone who was a persistent stomach sleeper (the absolute worst, posture-wise), back pain was an inevitable future issue. At 19, I'm far too young to be experiencing daily back & neck pain. So, a change had to be made. After researching online & having a friend who sleeps on a hammock herself, I decided to at least give it a shot after hearing the possible benefits. That $60 investment in this Hammock & the hanging hardware has made many of the issues I once faced, non-existent. It's forced my body to adjust into sleeping on my back/side (thus helping my posture), makes getting up easier, & having no pressure points allows for me to wake with little to no pain after a quick morning stretch. As a added benefit, it saves so much space, being that you simply can take it down by removing the hooks. If the same thought has even remotely crossed your mind, please pull the trigger & challenge yourself to be different. Just because its not the normal, doesn't mean it, or you are weird. Worst case, you'll have a cool hammock in your room for friends & family to talk about & use. Thank you Hammock Sky for making a quality product that's helped change my perspective on my life habits. AWESOME

We have had a few hammocks before that fell apart so when I ordered this one and was a little unsure about it since it was based on reviews only. We were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable and durable it is. We have 3 kids and my husband and 2 of the kids already have had several naps in the summer shade! It has been left it out in the rain a couple times and it dried quickly, but we typically cover it with the Hammock Protective Sock. This makes everything stay dry and tangle free on a wet windy Michigan day. PRO: Comfortable! We love that the hammock it's self does not have a lot of netting or flashy metal rivets. CON: We have not found a con so far. RECOMMENDED: We would recommend this product to our family and friends. SHIPPING: This arrived quickly. We thought that this was packed to insure its safe arrival to our home. Very Comfortable

My daughter has been dying to replace her bed with a hammock and has tried convincing me that it's actually better for your back to sleep in a hammock than in a bed. After weeks of hearing of nothing else I finally relented and let her buy her hammock. We looked into getting a hammock stand for her but the stand seemed to be too bulky for her room and would've made it difficult to arrange it so that it would look nice. We did a little research to see if we could just drill in some hooks to the studs in her walls and found some awesome little hammock hanging hooks. We decided to go that route rather than getting a stand and we are so glad we did. It has saved us so much space in her bedroom without having a bulky stand in her room. The nice thing about attaching the hammock to the walls is that the hammock doesn’t need to be set up all the time. My daughter loves being able to unhook her hammock, which literally only takes a few seconds to do, and put it away in her closet to create more space to have her friends over or to set up her art easel and have space to do activities without needing to leave her room. The hammock itself is good quality and the seller was great. We received a few emails letting us know that they received our order and that it was on its way. It also included information on how to care for the hammock which was nice. The hammock was rated for quite a bit of weight so we felt comfortable that if a couple kids wanted to hang out in it at the same time it would support their weight. We tested it out once it was hung up and we put about 300 lbs. in it which it held without any problems. My daughter loves hanging out in her hammock but has found that she still likes having a bed as well, especially when she is sick. She now has both options and uses them freely. I have found she seems to take naps in her hammock and uses her bed at night. I know she loves having both options available. The hammock is nice and comfortable and has a cozy feel. We’re glad we didn’t go with one made out of ropes as I would imagine it to be uncomfortable after a while. Overall we love this hammock and plan to use it for years to come. The only problem is that now our other three daughters want one in their rooms as well! We may be purchasing three more of these 

This hammock is the business.

This hammock is a cocoon of coziness. My only complaint is that the seller emails a pdf of the instructions post delivery. They are not included with the product. We had already set it up, though, by the time I'd received the email, so it wasn't very helpful to get directions post delivery. However, the instructions didn't really work for this type of hammock anyway (??? meme guy)...so no great loss there. We used this kit... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01C0TI1A4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ...in addition to a couple of 500lb weight bearing carabiners and a length of chain from our local "costco-for-home-and-garden" box store because the loops on the hammock are huge and the itty-bitty carabiners that came with the kit were too small. Other than the extra added expense for the kit and carabiners (~$40 total) this hammock is COMPLETELY worth the price. It doesn't have any funky smells (that some Amazon products seem to have), the material is soft yet very durable feeling, and my husband and I can in fact both lay in it at the same time. Highly recommend this hammock.

Love this super comfortable cocoon style hammock

Love this super comfortable cocoon style hammock - it is perfect for chilling and napping anywhere!! Plus the excellent customer service from Hammock Sky make this one of the sweetest deals ever: The original hammock I ordered had a small area unraveling, I was going to live with it because the hammock is so beautiful and comfortable... but when I mentioned it to Hammock Sky, they took the initiative and just shipped me a replacement without me even asking!!! I honestly and truly recommend this hammock and this company 100%!

Great product from a great company.

This hammock is awesome. It's soft, strong and really comfy. The edges have a cut look instead of a typical seam, but they're somehow sealed so they don't fray. This makes it so you don't have a stiff edge that you sort of fall over the side of as you get into the hammock. It just flexes as you slide into it. The whole thing has a "made for comfort" feel. I sleep in a hammock nightly strung over a 9' stand. This hammock stretches point to point on the stand so I wouldn't recommend anything smaller, as a matter of fact I would recommend going a little larger. I would say at least a 10' or better stand. Side note, the email from the company after purchase was awesome. Really made me smile and laugh a bit.

Awesome hammock for the price!

This is the first review I have ever made out of the hundreds of items I've bought on Amazon. I have switched out my tempur-pedic mattress and now sleep in this hammoc full time. First night in the Hammock took some getting used to because the fabric was a little bit tougher then I expected (Which is awesome because it's durable). But after that first day I've been sleeping nicely every night. It also fit 2 people in it with more then enough room for more. Everybody that has laid in it also said they are now looking into changing their bed out for hammocks also. So for $50 your getting a amazing hammock. And for the one person that gave this 2 stars is just not that informed with hammocks. "Brazilian Hammock" is a type of hammock. That's does not mean they are made in Brazil. That's just where they are originated from. P.S. Unlike some of the other reviewers. I have not recieved any discount whatsoever for my review. This was all my honest Opinion.

Love it.... after getting past the complications with hanging it

Finally got to use the hammock today! It doesn't come with any hardware or instructions to hang, so it took us a few months to figure that out. We ended up buying a hanging kit for $10, but the carabiners were too small for this hammock (the ends are very very thick, which makes you feel much more secure sitting in it, but does make it hard to find a way to hang), so we went to a boat supply store and spent $36 on larger weight bearing carabiners to attach to the hardware that came with the kit. But it was worth all the work, I'm thrilled! Can't wait to spend days in the hammock reading and relaxing this summer!
