Before buying this digital coin bank savings jar, I've been losing a lot of my coins because I had no place to organize them and therefore, lost quite a few dollars. I did not even pay attention there is an actual product like this until I saw my friend bought one, and I immediately think to myself that I need to order one. This product has made my life much easier. Highly recommended.

This is the coolest piggy bank ever. As you add coins, it keeps an accurate tally of the money you've saved. If you add paper money (which I've done), you simply use the + button to add that amount to your tally. If you decide to steal from your savings, then you use the - button. I needed a place to put my spare change when I get home. I hate having coins in my pocketbook because they're so heavy. Once my piggy bank is full, I'm going to buy myself something nice.

I had a running battle with my oldest son. Every time I walked into his room the floor would be filled with coins. He would just let the coins fall on the floor and I would have to tell him constantly to pick them up or I would and I'd keep them. I purchased this bank as a gift for him at Christmas. My husband thought it wouldn't work, but he loves it. He saves up the coins until he reaches 20 or 30 dollars and then my husband brings them to the bank and puts them in his account. He has saved over 60.00 in 21/2 months. Finally the coins are in the bank and not on the floor. He loves seeing them add up. The bank works well and we're both very happy.

I purchase 2 banks for my 7 and 5 year old grandsons for Christmas. I attached a bag with $1.00 of various denominations of coins to it. The banks were a big hit with my grandsons. They also are great for teaching about the value of different coins along with the benefit of saving money. The digital counter on the top makes this bank a perfect teaching tool that is a step up from other banks. One other noteworthy item - the supplier went through extra effort to get the product to me before Christmas. Ho ho ho!

First thing, the product works and it counts accurately but! make sure you drop the coin all the way, it will require you to do a little push, I mean don't let the coin slide back up once you start pushing the coin in or the counter will still think a coin was dropped and will add a random count to your total. Easy fix though, if it happens, there's that plus minus buttons you can use to adjust it. Putting a lot of coins one by one will take time so use the plus minus buttons. Oh I wish there's a bigger size though.

UPDATE 6-20-2016: Filltech read my review and reached out to me to make things right. I really appreciated that! They sent a replacement bank free of charge as the one I received was defective and wouldn't count coins right. The replacement is 100% working and is not as hard to insert the coins. It counts them as fast as you can put them in and it gets the pennies and dimes right every time. I recommend this bank and seller because if it's defective, they will make it right! I had somewhat high hopes for this coin bank, but it's not 100% accurate. It's main problem is distinguishing between dimes and pennies. As far as I can tell it has a lever that is supposed to detect the size of the coin and add that denomination to the total. It doesn't always work. Dimes and pennies get miscounted no matter how slow or fast you put them in. I put in $2 worth pennies and the count was $2.64 because of it counting some of the pennies as dimes. I corrected the count, then added some dimes, which at least four of them were counted as pennies. I think it's overpriced for this reason. If it kept a better count and the jar was glass and came with batteries....then it would be worth $18. As it stands now it's maybe a $5 bank. It might be alright for some people and I like the design and size of it, but probably will pass on buying it again.

This product is helpful! My husband and I are really trying to save some extra money for a a vacation and this helps us keeps track! If you add say a $5 bill you can move the numbers up and if you take some out you can move the numbers down so its always accurate. Great product! Ill be ordering another one!

I bought this in April 2015 and my only complaint is its still not filled! I like how the lid keeps track on how much money has passed the opening. The numbers turn off and only shows up while in use, which is good because the battery is still good. I had the habit of throwing change in dishes, drawers, boxes, bottom of the hamper and in the washing machine. Since I started using this in April, I have made a new habit of putting loose change in the jar instead. Its brought me peace just by having a designated place for my change.

I bought this item to replace another coin counting jar that I had because it was not counting the coins accurately. Specifically, it was not accurately counting pennies and dimes. This one doesn't count the dimes at all. The GOOD thing is though since they have the +- buttons on the top, I can put the total dimes on there manually. I say this is a good thing because I didn't even have that option on my other one. It takes a while but Its doable. I don't really understand why it doesn't work with dimes. It would be great if it did! I love being able to see the totals though-- even though it just gives you an idea of how much you have. CAN YOU PLEASE FIX THESE SO THEY COUNT THE DIMES?!

This coin bank is okay; I only used it for the first time today because I didn't realize it required the smallest screwdriver in the world and didn't own until today. It seemed to be accurate at the moment, but I won't rely on it to do my change counting. UPDATE: I was recently contacted by the seller who is clearly customer-focused. I was sent a replacement bank that is doing just what I need it to do. I have not found any issues with this new unit. Thank you!
