Ordered this jacket for a ski trip after shopping stores. You cannot beat the price for the quality and look of this jacket. Be sure to use the sizing chart and you can't go wrong.

I ordered the medium and I am a male, 5'6", 160 lbs. I am of athletic build. I work out a few times a week and run about 20 miles a week. This medium sized jacket fits me perfectly. There's enough space where I could wear a few layers of clothes underneath as well. I love that the product designer thought of everything especially wind abatement. Every opening has some form of adjustable setting so that wind does not blow in through the sleeves or up from the bottom. I was a little suspicious since this jacket is in the lower end of the price range but the construction is good and the features which come with it is rich. One of my favorite features that you don't find in other jackets nowadays is a breast pocket that is big and deep enough that my Samsung Galaxy S8 + will actually fit inside, with extra room, even with the protective case. Not many jackets can do that and who goes out in rough weather without a protective case on an $850 phone? It's too early for me to tell you how ruggedly built this jacket is because I just got it today but I can tell you this: I love the warmth, the fit and the features that it comes with so much that if it were to fall apart in a year the price is right to just buy another one.

I recently went to Iceland and of course in preparation I purchased this coat. It was possibly the best purchase I had made for the entire trip. I was in cold snowy weather and remained at a comfortable warm temperature. On top of that I visited 4 waterfalls, including 1 that completely soaked my jacket yet the water nevere got through and I remained warm. It was a perfect jacket.

I chose this coat over other coats costing upwards of 5x as much for an 8-day expedition in Antarctica and was pleased with the result. I found it to be very functional in all respects -- invariably warm in freezing temperatures with 20- to 40-knot winds and snow, invariably dry in rain and ocean spray through over a dozen beach landings and retrievals by Zodiac boat. The hood is effective and the pockets are good in size and locations. The zippers and snaps worked well and showed no signs of failure. The velcro closure on the face guard is a bit iffy but it worked adequately. In hindsight I would have gotten a brighter color, but that's almost as much a matter of taste as practicality. With black or color, you can be seen against the snow. I have read the other reviews and conclude that you either get one of the many good ones, or one of the few that should not have gotten past the quality inspection. Give yourself enough time to return a defective one and when you have a good one you will be happy with it.

I purchased this coat to wear to the University of Michigan football game on 11-19-16. I am very pleased with this purchase. First off I am 6' 1" and 200 lbs, and I ordered an XL based on the previous reviews I read. The only minor complaint I have is that the armpit room could be greater, based on the constant lifting of my arms while cheering and the whole coat raising with my arms. That's being pretty critical though. Other than that the size was great and very comfortable. As far as warmth - both in cold and wind - I give this an A+. I was wearing only a t-shirt and a long sleeved button down shirt underneath and I was cozy. It was 32 degrees with sleet and snow, wind between 15-25 mph. 4 hours in the elements and the only cold I felt was in my feet. I will post an update in a month or two as how the stitching holds up (single stitching), but based on my football experience at Michigan Stadium I give this bargain coat two thumbs up!

I love this coat so far. The jacket fits like a glove. I'm 5'5" and 164 lbs.I went by the sellers sizing chart. I ordered a medium. The removable hood lays nice when not in use. It has been rainy, windy and in the lower 40°s for the last few days. The rain just rolls off the jacket. The wind protection is also very good. The fleece lining in the jacket and hood has a very nice feel to it. I will update the review once the cold weather sets in here in Michigan. UPDATE 12/08/17: We have had cold (20s & low 30s) windy conditions over the last several days. The coat kept me very warm. I did notice that my coat does not have the inside media pocket as mentioned in the description. I would still highly recommend this jacket.

Not being a massive snow guy, I took a 'normal jacket' for a snow weekend with my family. It was awful. I had snow going down my neck, the fir on the collar just melted the snow causing me to get more wet. I went to the fancy stores at the ski village and found a decent Northface Jacket but it cost over $350. I just couldn't bring myself to spend that much money on a jacket. I continued to be jealous of my wife's jacket that had a proper hood to keep the snow out of your neck. I felt like I was uncool wearing an improper jacket for the conditions. I came home and started searching on Amazon and came across this. From the reviews, it looks like a Chinese brand that had some initial challenges in manufacturing, issues with zippers and so forth, which have since been resolved. I bought it and took it to Mammoth Mountain for the weekend. It works great. I felt cool, despite the unknown name "Wantdo". Arguably, this jacket might be too warm for the snow if you happen to be very active while outdoors. But it was below 30F, windy, and snowing all weekend, and it worked great for me. The jacket was comfortable, plenty warm (but not too warm) and has plenty of pockets and cinches to keep the snow out. On Day 3 I was still finding new features of this jacket. I realized it had a kind of glove built-in to the inside of the jacket that goes around your wrist and thumb to keep the snow out of the arms. I didn't use it, but the elastic design stayed around my wrist and made a nice seal anyway. For the cost, I'm very impressed. Highly recommended.

What a number one jacket for the price... HOLLY COW!!! It fit me like a glove and produced items I thought were never available for this price of jacket! One packet is on the inside of that coat and a rather good sized one at that. Three packages on the outside of the coldk three packages on the outside of the Coat/Jacket. Two large package where are you at expect your hands to fit in one good size pocket on the left upper side of your chest which is ideal for your cell phone! When you stick your hands into the sleeves there is actually a extended piece of material that you put your thumb through Separately with your fingers going through the other opening to keep the jacket tight and tight around your wrist. To top that off, you can adjust both ends of your sleeve with Velcro clasp tighteners to keep out in the wind. I put my gloves on and then adjusted those strap and no air what so ever went up my arms. At the bottom of the coat there are snaps you can attach any ski pants too. Also you can tighten up the bottom of your jacket tight against your buddy with the heavy duty strap. Even though it was not made in America it sure fooled me! If you don’t but is this coat/jacket You have missed out on one great piece of clothing! It is warm and rain proof to top it off. Buy it now!

This Chinese-made jacket is really a shot across the bow of established U.S. outdoor gear manufacturers like The North Face, Marmot, etc. Not only does Wantdo compete at their level of quality, but they do so at a fraction of their price. Despite the rave reviews on Amazon, this jacket still exceeded my expectations. At the end of the day, you’re paying $70 for all the quality and features you’d expect in the $300+ price range. I was so impressed that I bought a second one to give as a gift. Regarding issues from other reviewers: As of late December, 2016… Zipper: My jacket is fitted with a YKK zipper, which is a ubiquitous and trusted brand. Perhaps this change was in response to previous Amazon feedback. In any case, I have no difficultly zipping/unzipping this jacket, and no reason to suspect the zipper will fail. Size: At 5’10”, 150lbs, my Medium jacket is true to size. It fits just fine with a t-shirt, but is also roomy enough to accommodate a second layer, e.g. med-heavy sweater. Bottom line: This is serious gear bristling with features, and the quality is top tier. It’s priced at a fraction of competitor brands. What more could anyone ask for? It’s a no-brainer.

Glad I opted in for getting this at a higher cost than some similar jackets. Pros: *Super waterproof, have walked purposely into heavy rain with it being about 30F outside (nice freezing rain in upstate NY!) and this just had the water sliding off and not absorbing in the least *Warm: Definitely wouldn't wear below about 20F without moving around but it definitely stays toasty when active (snow blowing, skiing, etc) *Hood is large and wraps/tucks comfortably *Sleeves have slits in the fabric to put thumb through and into gloves to keep a full moisture barrier (no snow/water up sleeves!) Cons: *It's a tiny bit large for my build (170lbs, 5'7", lean). I picked a medium size for reference in black Overall, well worth the money and have room to put a small hoodie on underneath (not needed unless you're camping/sleeping and not active at all). Would definitely recommend.
