These were a reorder, because we like these so much we needed more. Not only is it handy that these lids are only one-part (rather than the two-part flat lids and rings); I like that they're plastic so I don't have to worry about rust. These are not for canning (you need the original style lids for that), but for storage. They're quick and easy on and off, and easy to clean. We use so many of them I'd run out and needed extras. With sticky things like honey, especially, they seem to be easier to use than metal lids. They don't gum up as easily or something (and if I need to I just wash them). We also get milk from a local farm that fills our own bottles. We've been using the same package of lids for at least a year, probably more like 2-3 years, and we only just now had ONE lid crack last week. So they've held up pretty well to heavy use, in the pantry, refrigerator, and even freezer.

I love using these to store my many gluten free flours and grains, freeing up the original lids and bands for canning pursuits. I can also instantly see by the different color that the contents of the jar is not a preserved item, which is helpful. I cannot get enough of these, and the price is on point with my local supermarket which is really convenient.

I cannot stress how handy these lids are! Now I no longer have to use the canning rings and lids if I want to store any food in mason jars that are only used for storage not canning. In the past, any canned items once opened, were stored in the fridge reusing the seal and rings used when the items were canned. Although that does work, the rings tend to rust from the moisture of the food and the fridge. These look so much nicer and work so well. They are dishwasher safe and easy to hand wash as well. If you give homemade soups, mixes etc as gifts, these lids easily close the jars for decorating. Also it is easy to identify jars that have been canned and sealed from those that are just being used for storage.

These caps are fantastic - I no longer have to use the metal lids and rings on opened jars. I really like them for homemade relishes that have vinegar in them causing the rings to rust over time. They're especially good for things I freeze in jars. I often wondered why Ball didn't make this product and here they are at last.

Great for storing things in jars. I don't know that I would trust them to be 100% leak proof on their own, but they do pretty well, though. You can get the silicone seals if you want a little extra protection. Great for regular use. I just throw them in the dishwasher and then back in the drawer. I use them for overnight oats and other applications where the metal lids/rings were rusting.

Will continue to buy these for years! Soooooo much better than the metal jars that rust. Especially for the fridge. These are easy to twist on and twist off for all the things. I prefer these for the leftovers in the fridge and on my dried goods in the pantry.

These are so convenient. They fit Ball mason jars perfectly and they allow you to remove the sealing rings after opening the jars. We can a lot in the summer time and often open jars an use only a portion of the contents. These allow you to remove the rings and sealing lids and store items in the refrigerator.

These are great for fridge or freezer use. Remember of course when freezing to leave plenty of space at the top when filling: while metal lids and bands will swell a bit with the freezing food, these caps will not. What ends up happening is large broken glass chunks sticking to the frozen contents (frozen as if it were a jar puzzle!) instead of an intact jar. I did the field test so you don't have to lose your favorite soup too.

Best price around for these brand name items. The free shipping was great and they got to my home in record time. Very pleased! Exactly was I wanted. Buying more today! Saw review claiming Walmart had them cheaper, I've never found both sizes at Walmart, even Walmart online and the wide mouth I have seen in-store at times are never this inexpensive. This was a much better value for me.

I love these. I home can lots of things from potatoes to peaches so I have MANY mason jars laying around at all times. I use them to store leftovers, soup, cookies, pasta, cereal, sugar and more. I also use these for storing my fermented and pickled foods in the fridge. They fit every jar I own including Ball and Kerr. I put them in a contained dishwasher basket (like one for baby bottle nipples and things, bought it on Amazon also) so they don't fly around the dishwasher and melt on the heating device.
