Great little toy for my 12 month old!
My 12 month old boy just loves this. Every time he runs off with my phone or his mom's phone I simply take the phone back and hand him his toy phone. He seems to understand that this one is his, even though it's not as fancy as a real cell phone (obviously). Once or twice the phone got stuck in what seemed like an endless loop playing music and going back and forth doing its thing. It's probably because my boy pushes 500 buttons at once. If this happens to you simply pull the batteries out, let it sit for a few minutes, then put them back in. When my boy is getting up set going through the toy box, I know it's because his phone is switched off and he is trying to tell me he wants it on!

My son loves the phone
My son loved the phone, but after less than a month, it stopped working properly. Sometimes, the same song would loop over and over again no matter where I pressed the screen. Other times, the touch screen wouldn't respond at all. Update: Because my son loved the phone so much, I decided to give it one more try before returning it. I changed the batteries, and voila, it's working well again. It seems that when the batteries on this toy wear down, it starts acting erratically as opposed to just shutting down.

Perfect learning toy for baby/toddlers
My toddler has had this phone for almost an entire year and it still works perfectly. There is so much to do with this toy that it never gets boring. I love that it is a small, handheld toy that can easily slip into a diaper bag as a fun toy when baby gets bored while we are out. The voices on this phone are completely obnoxious and I have never found a volume switch, but luckily the volume isn't too loud to begin with so it is tolerable...plus my kid loves it. This phone is very touch sensitive so it is easy for tiny fingers to push the buttons they want to play with. One really cute feature is that you can program your phone number into this phone. I can see where this would be a great learning tool for learning a parents phone number for younger kids. There are multiple interactive games like "touch the flashing light". The second screen option is like a mini i-pod that plays different kid song tunes and instrumental noises. The screen also lights up while it plays music which is so fun! We actually loved this toy so much that we donated quite a few to a local childrens hospital because it is very easy to clean and makes an easy toy to play with when a child needs to be sitting still.

So much fun!
This was a lot more cool than I expected it to be, especially for the price. I bought it for my nephew who was turning one, I opened it before wrapping it so he could play with it right away. I ended up playing with it a little haha. At the party he would not put it down to open other presents, the other kids kept trying to play with it too. Then while he was eating cake some of the grown ups were playing with it too. So glad I got it!

Very fun, very tough and way cooler than I expected!
I love this toy phone. My twins just turned two and this was one of their gifts. I knew I didn't want to get them a REAL electronic device, even though they love "playing" on everyone else's phone and tablet. They're still young enough to be entertained by a toy, and this one is perfect. First of all, it's TOUGH. They're still at that age where throwing things is fun and this phone has already flown down the stairs and across several rooms and it's still perfect. Secondly, it's just FUN. It lights up, it sings, it rings, it says cheese and makes a camera shutter sound. The screen is hard plastic, so I assumed all the "apps" underneath were just decorative, but I was wrong. It actually responds to touch, so your child can select an "app" and it plays a different game with them (no, the screen doesn't change, but it starts games like "press the frog" or whatever). Also, when you slide the slider to the music player screen, you can touch the play/pause/fwd buttons on the screen and control the music. I was truly surprised at just how cool this toy phone is. Even my older kids pick it up and play with it. It's reasonably priced, fun and tough. What more can you ask for?

Perfect for baby.
I don't love this, but it entertains my child! I made the mistake of downloading an app for my L.O. on my phone, so now he thinks my phone is a toy. So now if I need to check my email or anything, he can play with this until I'm finished. Some reviews said that it's not really a touch screen. Well not like a smart phone, duh, but it is screen sensitive. Overall I think it's a great value. Mt son has also dropped or thrown it a couple times already and it's holding up better than my actual phone would, that's for sure.

My Son Loves This
My son has had this toy since he was about 8 months old. He really started to enjoy it as a "phone" around 12 months. He loves walking around with it to his ear. It isn't a substitute for a real smart phone (he's no fool) but it does provide a lot of amusement. It is cute how you can program your phone number in it.

Vtech wins!
Seriously, I love this thing. We bought my son this because he will not leave our phones alone. So now it he grabs it, we just give him his own and he's satisfied enough to not chomp all over ours! I do wish the plastic was a bit softer because we all know babies put everything in their mouths, but that's my only complaint. This is a fun interactive toy that I think he will enjoy for a while! We have already bought more than one of these because a short three foot drop onto the wooden floor broke the toy, but I would buy another one even if it happens again. This keeps my kid entertained longer than any other toy he has ever interacted with, and he is currently while I am writing this review 9 months old. Every time we turn it on and go to hand it to him he gets a HUGE grin on his face and reaches out for it! You can even program the Vtech Touch and swipe phone with your home number so that when baby presses that button,it will say your number to them. I love this feature because it's helping them at an early age learn how to contact mom or dad when they need to. The screen lights up when you touch it, and whatever "button" you press on the screen also talks along and says what you press. (IE' press 1 and hear it say 1!) This phone even has fun interactive built in games for baby to play, and the music is cute.

There are lots of educational things for a little one to have fun with. Flashing lights
The "phone" just arrived with batteries included. For the money it is fabulous. There are lots of educational things for a little one to have fun with. Flashing lights, counting, music and visual recognition are all wrapped up in this cute, entertaining, colorful phone. Now maybe she will leave "our" phones alone? Very satisfied grandmother.

*Update* Just needed new batteries!
Less than 2 months of limited play & it's broke. When I first gave it to my 6 month old he kept dropping it on his face so I put it up. I gave it back about 2 weeks ago because he had better control, could sit unassisted etc. Well now it just plays a 4-5 second music snip that repeats constantly. It's worthless. ***update*** I decided to try new batteries & it works! I feel a little silly but wanted to pass this on.
