I purchased two sets of these and they are true to their name. Solid and hefty in weight means they’re very stable. I have a single axle Airstream and typically use the Lynx brand complete leveling system with the Lynx chock block on one end of the tire and these on the other. The second set is for when I’m docked on a steep incline like a driveway. I double them up side by side for my peace of mind, but they’re probably fine as singles. I’m more cautious than others and it’s a small price to pay not to worry about movement inside and especially with kids running in and out. I think the size is perfect so they’re not too heavy since I’m petite. Nothing critical to add other than would be nice if they came with rope. No big deal for the price. I plan to use paracord to pair them together when I need to use both sets or just tie them to a single. This will make it easier to pull them out without having to get down on my knees.

These are great and were about half the price of the ones at my local RV store. The handle on the back is a great feature. I didn't notice the smell of them because I left them outside under my trailer tires instead of keeping them in the house with me. I'm not sure why people complain about the smell of a wheel chock when its meant to be jammed under a tire. You might as well complain about all the other smells around your tires like grease, the rubber smell of the tires, etc. Great wheel chock, would purchase again and would recommend to others. I noticed you can use it in two orientations, textured side down or smooth side down, depending on the surface you're parked on.

I have these to chock my boat trailer in my garage. Appear to be heavy duty rubber. Clearly can see they will last...forever. You can see in the picture they are not as wide as the tire, but they don't have to be to be effective.

YES, all the other reviews are correct: They are SLOLID They are STURDY They are STRONG They get the JOB DONE They are reasonably PRICED They STINK like rubber...who cares!

Just what I was looking for. I was using those collapsible metal ones, what a pain. These are heavy, solid and hold very well. I use them for my boat and trailer which only weigh around 1,500 lbs. But I would trust these with my truck as well. I don't care about any smell that so many seem to be bothered by. They don't come in the house, so whatever smell they have just blends in very well with all the other garage smells. I would buy these again if needed, and also would recommend them. Update: 9/18/16, I left the dang things on the trailer tongue and headed out to the lake. Needless to say, I lost them. So I am ordering another pair. I looked at a lot of others, but ended up deciding on these again. I just wish they were blaze orange!

They worked GREAT! We have been trailering for over 30 years and never used anything but blocks of wood with our 35ft Layton Trailer. So when we purchased a 5th Wheel being larger and heavier we thought maybe we should try these for added protection thinking that they may never really be needed. Boy! we were very thankful to have them on our 5th wheel. About the 3rd time out with our 5th Wheel my husband pulled away with the truck and the unit rolled backward and if we wouldn't have had these on our 5th Wheel it would have went down the hill and into a pond! So they saved us, whew! They are solid with good weight and a quality chock, so glad we purchased these. We have seen others at RV stores and these have beat them all for looks, solidness and durability.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these wheel chocks. I have several different styles of chocks for my trailer/vehicles, however, this one is superior to all the others hands down. They are thick, clunky and hang in there no matter how loaded down my trailer is....and no matter what surface I have to park the trailer on. Some of the other styles I have slide on wet grass or mossy concrete and make me nervous when parking my trailer. These have proven to be the best. Yes, they do stink terribly when they arrive....but all you have to do is set them outside (out of their plastic wrapper) for a day or two and you're good to go. Highly recommend.

From the amazon pictures you'd think that these chocks have a cool blue trimming on the edges but that's just bad lighting. Maybe the sellers put it there intentionally, I don't know, but they are full black, at least mine were. Don't worry I was fooled too and was actually expecting blue colors on mine lol. These are some very nice chocks though. They are heavy and grip nicely on concrete. They are far better than plastic chocks. The smell doesn't really bother me. Soon as I'm done with them I throw them in a box and put them away. The price of these were sitting at around $15. I noticed they went upwards of 20 bucks now. Maybe that's why they were removed from "Amazon's choice." But the product review is still high, which means it will most likely make you happy too.

These chocks are very sturdy and heavy. The handles make them easy to carry when you have your hands too full. Yes, they smell like rubber, but nothing worse than walking through the tire section at a farm store or a warehouse club. Just one chock easily held a sedan on a sloped driveway while I tossed the other chock to my husband to put behind the other wheel. The chocks stay put and do not slide. My husband was very pleased with these beefy, well designed chocks. They are better made than most chocks I've ever used, and a stupendous bargain.

These chocks are unexpectedly awesome. I originally bought them to prevent my car from moving while jacking up the opposite end. They excel at that. I feel supremely confident my car is secure when using these chocks. Before these, I was kicking plywood under the tires. Sometimes, the wood would just scoot back as the car scooted back. Sometimes, the car would roll onto the wood. Sometimes, there appeared to be a good hold. But, at no time, did I ever think this was 100% effective. Those worries are gone now. My car ain't goin' anywhere. But, wait, there's more... My garage is a wee bit undersized for my car. I'm always guessing and hoping that I pulled in far enough so that the garage door doesn't hit the back of the car but not so far that I'd hit stuff with the front of the car. I was getting good at that game but it was growing wearisome. So I decided to use one of these chocks as a guide. I placed one down so I drive until I hit it, put it in neutral to roll back down, then I'm in perfect parking position. I knew a guide would work but I expected *this* guide to be slowly nudged forward by the repeated bashing of my tire since it's not secured to the floor. Well, in two months of guide use, it has not moved at all!!!
