- Designed to check both straight on or at a 90 Degree angle to the rotor with offset tips so the gauges can be used without removing the wheel or caliper assembly on many applications
- Brake lining gauges identify thickness levels for brake lining inspection
- Made from durable, flexible acetal
- The gauges are color coded to match SAE or Metric recommendations for brake pad replacement

A tool every mechanic needs...
Love this product! It allows me to accurately gauge brake pad thickness without wheel removal. It is plastic (read that as flexible) so it can be manipulated into tight areas. I much prefer this to the metal versions. Also, it has the tabs on the end, so it can be used to measure pad thickness horizontally or perpendicularly to the rotor. Coupled with the iGaging 100-048 Brake Rotor Gauge, I no longer have to remove wheels to measure brake pads and rotors. I'd give it six stars, if I could.

great functionality
This was the only set of gauges with the unique design of being able to use both vertically and horizontally. The typical horizontal gauges wouldn't work on my front brakes because the caliper design got in the way. Even taking the tire off wouldn't allow me to measure the outside pad thickness. By using this set of gauges in the vertical position I was quickly able to measure the outside front pad thickness at a different location. These gauges were a life saver!

A must have for flat rate or even home use
As a flat rate guy, these are PERFECT for being able to cheat checking pads. With these, you don't have to take the wheel off to check pad thickness, just stick the gauge in sideways and you can feel where the pad catches the gauge between the rotor. Fantastic tool and massive time saver.

Saves time
No more taking wheels off to measure brake lining. Saves so much time. Take the chain off and use a bolt and nut to organize the pack, way faster and keeps it compact and tight in the tool box

at first moving the gauges around was a little hard but after it breaks in its perfect. The price is awesome compared to Cornwel
I use this at the dealership every day, at first moving the gauges around was a little hard but after it breaks in its perfect. The price is awesome compared to Cornwell, Snap-on, Mac, and Matco tools. They were more expensive. I Noticed a similarity between the other makes and this one, and it isn't much of a surprise, the gauges are identical with the exception of the name of the brand stamped on it, and the other makes use a rivet to hold it all together, KD uses a bolt and lock nut, which I thought would be a draw back but I grown to like the fact that I could adjust the tension or remove gauges if I wanted.

Time-saving tool
I work in automotive and use these every day, carried in my pocket. I opted to replace the chain with a nut and bolt like how the metal gauges are. Being plastic, they give a bit of flex to get readings in tight places. Note that there are two 2mm gauges - one straight and one right angled, probably for durability's sake.

Keep the wheel/tire on - these work!
Hands down the best brake gauges because you can use them from two different angles. No need to take the wheel/tire off just to get a measurement anymore!

Saves time, saves money
These gauges allow one to take brake pad measurements in most cases without removing the wheel. Saves time in evaluating brake pad thickness which gets you on to the next thing quicker. Time is money and these gauges save you time.
