Great quality, direct replacement.

Direct fitting replacement and came with all the hardware and clips. Local GM dealer quoted my brother almost $300 in just parts for the tailgate on his 2003 1500 HD. I did it in about 15 minutes with this as a surprise to him while I had his truck. Looks and feels every bit as good as what came off the truck.

Easy to install and way less than what chevy costs!

I hate when people who don't know that to open a tailgate properly as to not damage the handle need to push lightly in on the tailgate before lifting the handle! Every time I see one of my employees or friend or even a family member just walk up and yank back on the handle with such force that's not necessary O can start to feel my blood boil. You can imagine my anger when the last person who did such a stupid thing, did so as I watched in disbelief as he ripped the handle completely off of the tailgate!! High Quality Replacement

This replacement handle and bezel is an exact duplicate of the original and easy to install taking me less than 15 minutes from start to finish. I intended to purchase this from a dealer so priced the handle and bezel on a Chevrolet dealer's website and the cost was approximately $45. It was then I decided to check Amazon not really expecting it to be available but there it was advertised for $15.57 and free shipping with my Amazon Prime. Several reviewers complained that the bezel was cheap and the clips broke easily while installing however; I did not find this to be the case. The bezel is installed by inserting the bottom first and then the top where the clips are located. If you try to insert the top of the bezel by popping it in with the heel of your hand or the side of your fist it will most likely break the clips. I lubricated the clips to eliminate any friction the then slightly pushed down on the bezel while gently pushing the top section (where the clips are located) with just my finger tips and it snapped right into place. I highly recommend this replacement handle and bezel.

Worked perfect

I broke my tailgate handle on a boat trailer hitch and thought I would have a hard time finding a new one...since my truck was so old. I have a gmc sierra 2002. This fit perfect and I installed in about 10 minutes. Very happy about this product, plus it was made really well. Buy it.

The item arrived promptly and was exactly as presented on amazon. This is equal to original equipment. This is not some cheap South East Asian knock off. I was surprised!!! It fit perfectly and performs flawlessly just as the OE did.

Beats the hell out of dealer

The Bezel just broke and fell of one day while lowering the tailgate. Called the dealer and they wanted my first born to get me one. And that was just for the bezel less the mechanism. This was considerable cheaper but I could not tell the difference from the original. Plus I have the mechanism if I need it.

Looks good and works as better as OEM one on my 03 Silverado. I replaced the hinges at the same time which are 99% of the time the reason the latch handle breaks (hinges damaged, bent, or worn). The Doorman hinges are even better than the OEM ones. Bezel - you need to clean the painted area where there are 2-foam adhesive pieces for best adhesion and also be careful when snapping in the bezel. Took no time at all.

Great replacement for OE on my '05 Silverado

Indistinguishable from original equipment. Took me about 15 minutes to install, including removal of the old handle mechanism, and the old bezel mounting tape residue. Helpful tools are a straight-slot screwdriver, needle-nose pliers and a 13 mm socket and ratchet. 3 bolts hold the mechinism in place. Make sure to get all three started before tightening any in place. Also, take the time to thoroughly remove the residue from the old bezel mounting foam/tape and clean with alcholol before mounting new bezel. You may need to lift the handle slightly to slip the bezel in to place. Very happy with these parts. Very quick delivery and priced fairly.
