Great product, great price, I own three.of them.

I bought my first one back in 2005 (give or take a year). It lasted all this time (I'm writing this in Feb. 2017) and it doesn't owe me a thing. I've used it every 2 or 3 weeks all this time and it STILL works. I've wanted to buy a second one but - for the longest time - Remington stopped making them. I never wanted to buy a Flobee so I just kept using my Remington. Again, it still works after over 10 years. But I decided to look for a replacement and - lo and behold - Remington started making them again. Yay! I bought two and used one of 'em new one last night. (I'll start using the other one in 10 years or I'll give it as a present.) It works great for me. My hair is nothing fancy, though ... just a (relatively) short cut all the way around my head so it's easy and quick. Done in less than 5 minutes. The built-in vacuum is the best. I would've paid twice as much for this excellent product.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!

Owned the original for 10 years before the wall plug crapped out and broke. It was the "BEST" hair trimmer I ever owned and I was pretty upset and disappointed when it broke! Afterwards, I bought 10 other trimmers ranging from $25 to $100 trying to find one that cut as close and clean as the Remington one did and came up 0 for 10! I wasted a TON of $$ and have a TON of knicks and micro cuts on my head from these other type of trimmers to prove my futility in finding a good clipper again!! When I saw this new 2.0 version of my most favorite trimmer I swooped it up and just tested it out; it is EXACTLY THE SAME as my old one and I literally hugged and kissed it several times due to my happiness and joy!! I have been buzzing my head for over 25 years and have literally spent hundreds on trimmers and clippers and have not found a single one that cuts and trims as close as this Remington does! I bought 4 more just in case so I should be set for life now! In conclusion, I can't recommend this trimmer/clipper enough and would say order one and try it out and see why I am so giddy and happy about this product!

Great product - Clippers Cut Great, and Vacuum of Hair is like a Dream!

Wow - this works so much better than I thought it would (I was kind of nervous that I had wasted my money, but it works reall well, and the vacuum system is such a dream! After decades of cutting my own hair using standard electric clippers, and getting little bits of hair all over myself (and the sink, the floor, the bathmat, etc.) the vacuum system just whisks it all up before it even has a chance to fall and get on my shoulders or on my sink! The quality I’d the blade, and the many attachments, seems very high. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase (with only the small regret that I didn’t splurge and buy the cordless version....but I was dubious about the quality of the clippers and the vacuum). Knowing what I know now, I would have paid a bit more for the cordless version (the cord is plenty long, it’s just the idea of not having a power cord if you don’t need one)

Been waiting for this product to come out. It cuts as well as it looks and feels. Just amazing! I would recommend this to anyone that needs to cut they,re hair themselves. Quiet too.

Best set of clippers I've had

I had the previous model for as long as I can remember.... at least 5-7 years. It was always a great set of clippers so I was excited to see the new model on Amazon. After my first cut with these new clippers, I can say I anticipate the same amount of quality. Two things I noticed right away... the plug isn't ginormous like the previous one (awesome!) and the bag is almost twice the size. If you've never used the previous version of these clippers, I can say I highly recommend them. It really is no mess. It catches pretty close to every piece of hair. I can have my hair cut without any cape on and can go about my day without having that itchy feeling on the back of my neck. The compartment that catches hair is also a decent size. I keep my hair short and cut it about every 3 weeks and have only ever filled it about halfway. The kit also includes pretty much every attachment any other set comes with. The price is great too. I got it around $42. The Remington website lists it for $50. I've never seen them on the shelves in any store so I couldn't give you a comparison on that. Bottom line, great clippers. You won't be disappointed.

An excellent trimmer, and the vacuum works!

An excellent hair trimmer! Smooth cutting with a large selection of depth guides. The big advantage to this trimmer is the vacuum feature. It really does work, in my case capturing over 99% of the loose hair. It's not perfect, so there were a few loose hairs on the counter, but seriously about 5 of them, less than 10. The trick is to go uphill, and not too fast. The vacuum pulls in all the cut hair as you go. Some reviewers mentioned making a mess with loose hair flying around. I definitely did NOT experience that. This was neat and clean, with almost zero mess. My tips for clean-up: 1) I use a vacuum to clean out the hair chamber. No mess. 2) Treat the screen VERY gently, try not to touch it. 3) You will have to use the included small brush to clean off the screen, the vacuum won't be enough. Combine some very good directions, some extras in the kit, and this excellent vacuuming trimmer, enjoy!

I just cut his hair for the first time with this shaver and he was so cool through the whole thing

My 5 year old son has Sensory Processing Disorder and hair cuts have always been a nightmare for him because he can't stand the feel of hair all over him. I just cut his hair for the first time with this shaver and he was so cool through the whole thing! I was impressed with how much hair this thing sucked up. His hair hadn't been cut in months, so it was several inches long. I had to empty it a few times, but I don't think we'll have to go so long between haircuts anymore. He was so happy with this. Definite life changer for us.

Vacuum works wonders

It definitely doesn't get every single hair but it sure does catch about 95% of them as long as you make sure to keep emptying it every now and then during your cut. Really wish it came with the #5 and #7 guards (#5 is usually a staple for me), but obviously you can live without them. Wish it came with a plastic box instead of a bag, too. But those are mine drawbacks for the addition of a built-in vacuum Definitely would recommend for the DYI haircutters out there.

Works as advertised

Just received this yesterday and went from a full head of hair to bald using this. The cord is longer then I'd of expected. You must keep a clean angle and take your time because they will dig or struggle otherwise. It it an extremely good job overall. 99.9% of all hair went directly into the shaver. Both an inch or so from the top and extremely short from the sides after a week removed from a skin fade. I hope was for the best and was beyond satisfied and impressed. If and when these must be replaced, I will be rebuying them.

Hope it is durable because I love it!

I have used this a few times now. I can't comment on longevity yet, but at the moment it works. I had another set of clippers that didn't have a vacuum and the weight and size are about the same. I wouldn't say it was any more awkward for a novice/amateur to hold. It is a bit awkward to edge around ears. You will end up with air blowing in your face at some point which is not ideal, but not the end of the world. I bought it because my 3 year old freaks out when the cut hair falls on his face and neck. I don't know if it makes him itchy or because he is now dirty. This thing worked great at sucking up 98% of the hair. He freaked out when I accidentally dug the guard into a crevice of his ear (kinda sharp feeling but no damage to the ear) but the second time with more practice he seemed to almost enjoy the experience. I also use this to buzz my husband's hair and he enjoys the cooling effect of the air. The guards are not numbered so you have to know how short you want your hair (1/8", 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 1" ect.) The bag it comes with barely holds the clippers and accessories so if that was a bit larger it would be great. For now I keep it in the box.
