Just an honest review

This review is based on my personal experience in purchasing the Tao Tao Lancer, result may vary. The only reason I say that isn't really the scooters fault, they will work longer (much longer) if you are mechanically inclined. The whole experience was pretty painless, but you have to know what your getting. In doing a lot of research before I made this purchase, you get to know the in's and out's of Chinese manufactured scooters. I order the day before Labor Day 2017, so I had to wait a couple of extra day, but still got it in 6 days. Smart's Deals Now was a pleasure to work with. They ship through SAIA, and I will say that I didn't have the best delivery person in the world, but that depends on where you live. Comes in a box, very little assembly is required but I will warn that the front tire can be tricky, but their are plenty of videos on Youtube. (hint: you need 2 people) Once assembled the fun begins, gas up and have fun. Change the oil after 30 miles. Pro's: - Fast out of the box but faster when you start upgrading parts. - Speedometer is in MPH not KMH. - Speedometer is actually correct. (GPS verified) - Replacement parts are cheap. - Great customer service. - Received title within 5 days of receiving scooter. - Ton's of fun Con's: - Leaking a little oil. Upgrade's: - CDI, coil, spark plug. - Cooling fan replaced So I have had it a month, done 3 full oil changes, changed the gear oil once, currently have 920 miles, have done a few upgrades. Top speed so far is 58mph.

You can't beat it for the money

Scoot arrived in XL shape. Looks Great. Running great. May buy another.. Note: Had this scooter been sent to someone else they might be writing a bad review. I had to remove the spark plug and regap it to specs. to get it to run right. It took me 10mins and boom I had a great running scooter. Therefore I recommend that you have some mechanical skills or a helpful friend with skills. This is a great bargain if you need cheap & dependable transportation.

I didn't buy my scooter from this seller, or on Amazon, I bought it local. I read some of the reviews and I don't think people gave it what it deserves. It is a good scooter, you have to assemble it a little yourself when you first receive it. Yes it does come in a metal crate, and yes you it is good to know a little about how a scooter or any mechanical item works. You should be somewhat good with tools in order to put it together easily. I does go together easily and when you are finished it is ready to go. When it is licensed and when you have your license you can take it for a ride on the road. I usually ride a Honda VTX 1800 and I am used to a big bike. This is only a 150cc, but it is really a blast to ride. I bought mine when my Honda had to go into the shop and was going to be there a little while, I was having starting problems with it (it ended being bad wires on the kickstand switch) This scooter was what I needed to get me through that. It says it can go up to speeds of 40-45mph, I have had mine to speeds of 50 before. It IS fun to "drive", great to take on short trips around town.
