Excellent USB hub. Power cord sold separately, though.
Works perfectly with my Surface 3. Using this hub, I've attached an external 1TB hard drive, mechanical keyboard, and optical mouse, basically converting my Surface 3 from a tablet/laptop to a 'desktop'. So far, the hub has been working seamlessly, to the point where I basically plugged it in and forgot about it. I haven't had a single problem. For convenience, I did put some velcro on the bottom to anchor it in place on the side of my desk... The USB cord is thick and the hub is super light, so it has a habit of wandering around whenever the cord's bumped. Also of note, the cord is about 3' long, which makes it very convenient to put 'where I want it' instead of 'right next to the port' like a lot of other similar hubs expect you to do. Really, I'm not sure what else to say. It's nice to purchase a product that just simply works. My only complaint is that the AC power cord for this hub has to be purchased separately. But at the same time, you really only need the power cord if you're planning on charging smaller devices or using devices that require more power than your device's USB port can provide in the first place. If you don't purchase the extra AC cord, the device is entirely powered by your USB port, which is typically sufficient to run all but the particularly power-hungry USB devices. With the AC cord plugged in, I can use this hub to charge my bluetooth headphones and my USB battery backup... But it doesn't put out enough amperage (2+ amps) to charge my Surface 3. If it could do that, it would be better than perfect.

Perfect!
Wonderful! I connected this to my 3.0 PCIe card that has 4 USB Ports. Now I don't have to get on my knees under the desk and fish around for the USB Port. I connected an external Seagate Slim Hard Drive, GoPro Hero 5, Garmin Edge 1000, and Keyboard Mouse Bluetooth and it works great. Note: The Hub is powered by the PCIe card (see pic) which is supported by a 430 Watt PSU on the PC. I see no need for getting an additional power cord. I have not measured the Download speeds but it seems much faster than my onboard 2.0 USB Ports. This is an excellent price for this product.

the product is excellent and I would highly recommend.
Works well haven't checked all 4 ports BUT the 2 I have used (one for an external HDD and one for a game controller) have worked well and I have not lost any speed on either. the cord is of perfect length to get from the back of my tower to the side and sit comfortable next to it. (In the past the ones I have had (USB2's) had pretty much no extension and thus just hang adding stress to the connection. I would highly recommend this for anyone needing more ports. The sad part of MOST pcs and laptops is how they lack a sufficient number of USB ports. It was easier when the KBs and Mice had their PS2 ports but now they are filling USB ports as are many speaker systems and headphones. but with Bluetooth those can be easily rectified and free up the USB ports. I digress, the product is excellent and I would highly recommend.

So Glad I Picked THIS Hub -- Purchase and Overall Experience
I spent several days browsing through the various 3.0 USB hubs on Amazon and finally decided this one looked like it was "the one." With so many mixed reviews on the many hubs out there I was skeptical with what I would end up getting here. So I prepared my expectations to be reasonable -- If I didn't like it when it arrived I wasn't going to let it ruin my day. I would just send it right back. Well it arrived today and I eagerly opened it up. After looking it over I was rather surprised that the price I paid for it wasn't higher. The packaging it came in was super neat. The hub is solid and looks like it's made of quality material. I tested all the ports – one at time – to make sure that all four ports worked simultaneously and they did. Here is what I came up with after setting it up (attaching photo as well). The photo shows THREE USB ports located on the front of the hub and the FOURTH on top. My devices that are plugged in are: 1. Left port: USB 2.0 flash drive 2. Middle port: Wireless numeric keypad 3. Right port: Wireless mouse 4. Top port: Mobile phone via a 3.0 USB cable All four ports work simultaneously. The hub is just the right size to accommodate all four USB devices I have plugged in, and it also sits snugly along my laptop for quick access. If I don’t want to see it, I can also push it around behind my laptop. So yeah, I'd recommend this device to other potential buyers looking for a nice little 3.0 USB hub. If you don't like it then simply return it for a refund. (UPDATE: I purchased this hub in the beginning of January 2017. It's now coming up into the beginning of January 2018 and my hub is still right on point. One year of heavy daily use for this price -- I struck gold on this purchase. Hoping my fellow Amazon shoppers will have the same success.)

Does the job, looks nice.
Does the job, looks nice. I was surprised how useful I found having one port facing a different direction than the rest too. It's like a feature I didn't know I needed, but am very happy to have now. The shape is good for either taping/Velcroing/gluing it to the bottom of a desk, for concealed functionality. Or, just as easily, you could add rubber feet to the bottom to make sure it stays put.

Exactly what I needed
Needed to expand my front USB on my gamer and hated to keep unplugging and having a huge mess of random cables. I also didn't want to take up a spot for my wireless mouse. This is perfect! Wireless mouse receiver is on top while Xbox One controller on one and odds on the other. I plan on buying the power adapter as I tested to charge my ecig batteries. Left it plugged in for 20 mins. not even a tick.Which I really didn't expect it to charge as it only supplies extra ports for devices that don't require external power. SO, external hard drives, 3.5 ones, will NOT work obviously. I don't expect you will receive as fast as data read and write with a 2.5 plugged in but it works. It does charge my action camera batteries

Works great & no need for an external power supply
i have a couple multiple outlet usb strips. but with all of those i have to have them plugged in for them to be powered and function. with this the only power you need is what is supplied from your usb ports. the quality is top notch. the usb connections fit nice and tight, not even the slightest bit loose. a nice simple device that does what it should.

works great! I was having issues with my wireless keyboard ...
works great! I was having issues with my wireless keyboard and mouse after buying a new tower that seemed to interrupt the connection from the dongle, so I figured this hub would bring the dongle to a better position to keep the connection strong, and it did the trick without issue since. It's also made it easier to recharge other USB devices like my smartwatch and phone without having to reach under my desk to plug into my tower.

A Great Hub that Shares Power to all Drives
My main problem with other Hubs has been that they don't disperse enough power to all the drives I have connected to them. This results in drives that would refuse to work. This UGREEN hub has been fantastic. I have two external hard drives and a set of LED lights hooked up to the hub at all times. The hard drives and lights work every time. I use the fourth port for my thumb drives and that too, works just fine when needed. The hub itself is connected to back of my computer tower and that is all the hub needs to power the USB ports. The speed of the ports are also great. I have experienced no slowdown and the data transfer is matched to if I were to connect the drive directly to my computer. I have not had any problems, and this hub has solved the problems I had, so I have to write that this hub is great.

Liked it so much I bought another
Liked it so much I bought another. Arrived quickly, well packaged, works fine. It was probably designed for use with a laptop, the cord is a little short for desktop use without purchasing a USB3 extension cable. It could use some rubber feet on the bottom to prevent slipping and sliding. I don't use any high powered devices, so I don't need the power adapter. If there was a model with a six foot cable and an included power supply I would have probably bought that one, just in case I needed the power supply at a later date. It looks nice sitting on your desk and allows you to relocate the Logitech nano receiver from under the desk to get a better signal. I also have a Sandisk nano USB3 drive to use as Redi-Boost. The top port works great if you are using a USB wifi adapter. And the last port I use for another USB drive to transfer files.
