This makes the issue of batteries so much better! Instead of having to buy a million alkaline batteries that I won't use at the rate that they expire, I buy rechargable batteries for everything. When a battery runs out, I put it on the charger and take out a fresh one. I carry 6 AAs and 6 AAAs, and when I find a rechargable on the floor somewhere I just throw it on the charger. Now it's more like a dispenser for batteries. And this works because if you don't play a certain console or use a certain controller for quite some time, it'll probably have a dead battery by the time you go to use it. Instead of basically paying the price of a battery for one gaming session, you can just swap it out. Anytime I gain a new electronic that uses batteries I buy some new batteries for it and this keeps the balance. - The battery charger shows you the levels of charge on each battery individually, and it prevents overcharging to increase the longevity of the batteries. The charger is also a good way to see if your battery is dead, because it just won't charge. Sometimes rechargables wear out, and sometimes you just get a bad set of batteries. - Haven't had a chance to test out the 9volt battery chargers yet, because 9volt rechargable batteries are really hard to find. - You can mount this thing to the wall if you want. There's a cord coming out of it and running to the wall, so you can put it in a variety of places. - The charger uses springs to adapt to the different shapes of batteries. So if you are holding something, it's not always easy to pull a battery out of it without having it go flying on you. That's my only complaint, but it's definitely worth the investment. I know a good battery charger and some rechargables cost a bit more than just buying alkalines, but once you have it, you have it forever until we no longer need battery chargers. The future, hopefully, will bring upon wireless charging batteries, like that company Ossia is working on.

I have used this since April 6 (just over 30 days at this point). I find it works well as designed, charges at a low rate to preserve battery life. Independent bays allow you to charge from 1 to 10 batteries at a time. in the Amazon listing it says Never mix charge different type and different capacity of batteries under the same LED indicator so you should not use the 9v bays while using the AA/AAA battery bays at the same time. I have only charged AA and AAA batteries up to 8 at time and this charger has performed perfectly. At the end of charging it keeps a trickle charge going. My understanding is this helps to condition the batteries. Even if that is not true if you leave the batteries in the charger after they have finished charging they do not discharge. Something to note. Be careful about putting a completely dead, damaged or bad battery in the charger as with any charger trying to revive a defective battery can be dangerous. As to reviving a severely depleted battery I understand from YouTube reviews that is necessary to charge the depleted battery in a bay next to a good battery charging for the depleted battery to revive correctly. I have no personal experience with this method and if anyone knows more about this please enlighten the rest of us. After my short term experience with this charger I would recommend it. As to longevity I will update this review if this charger fails within the next year. Update: 24 Dec 2018. I now have 9 months of use with this charger. I have learned a few things. 1) This is a simple charger Not a smart charger. It is not testing your battery and choosing the correct charge current for each battery individually. It charges each battery separately but it is not a smart charger. If you want a charger that is going to work towards the longevity of your battery I would suggest a good Smart charger. This is designed to charge large numbers of batteries efficiently. But not to condition them. 2) Condition of batteries. I have noticed some of my batteries will get hot while charging and others just a little warm. Batteries wear out and not all batteries are created equally. As batteries wear out they don't charge as well. 3) This is just my opinion, I am no expert or learned man. Don't leave batteries on a charger after they have finished charging for long periods of time. Personally I don't think long periods of trickle charging are good for the batteries I just think it wears them out over time. That is only my opinion. I stand by my original review of this charger. I find it to be a good solid charger that is still in use after 9 months.

I don't usually post reviews, but I've had this charger for over a year now and I LOVE it. So many devices use AA and AAA batteries that using rechargeables saves a lot of money and trips to the store for batteries. I use EBL 1100 mAh AAAs and Powerex 2700 mAh AAs, this charger charges them perfectly. Individual bays are great since you don't have to charge batteries in pairs--this is better for the batteries and more convenient when I need to charge an odd number of them. It also stops charging (or switches to a low trickle) after charging is complete so batteries aren't over-charged even if they're left in the charger, and the entire charger switches to a low power mode (LCD backlight turns off) when no batteries are installed or all installed batteries are charged, to save energy. This also lets me know at a glance that all batteries are charged. The only issues I've had, and both are minor: (1) Occasionally a battery won't start charging until I wiggle it a bit so it makes better contact, and (2) if a battery is overly discharged, the indicator doesn't show that charging has started... I get around this by putting it in my EBL 4 cell charger instead. I don't know if charging will eventually start if I leave it in or not; next time I have a battery like that I will try.

Update: after posting this review I was contacted by a representative. Come to find out, the batteries I purchased are high capacity batteries which do take longer to charge. So I purchased a second charger to accommodate all of my batteries at once. Slow as hell to charge a group of batteries. Took 12 hours for a set to be charged. It does the job and looks good doing it however plan a day ahead if you need to use it. I bought this to charge the batteries in all of my studio flashes and it works as expected.

Great great great! Over the past months we changed all rechargeable batteries to EBL. No problems, the charge last long and chargers doing their job. Until now we used the white 8 slot charger from EBL. I did not like it cause the status light was hard to see (if it’s charging or finished), also you have to charge always in pair of 2. So we tried that one here and yessss. That’s the one to go for. You can charge single batteries and get a clear reading of the charging status from the digital display. Batteries are easy to insert and remove. The only thing I really don’t understand, the display is illuminated so reading is really easy, that light is only on for a few seconds after you plug the charger in. After that it goes off and there is no way to illuminate the display except pulling the plug and re-plug it. But that’s the only thing. Still a great charger. And to mention there two 9V charge slots for block batteries. So far we didn’t have any recharge but that’s the next thing we going to replace in the house.

Item arrived in undamaged condition with all battery ports in working order. The batteries fit easily into the slots but removal requires two hands, pulling back the terminal and then removing the battery with the other hand. This may be difficult for someone who has arthritis but otherwise, isn't too much of a hassle. The only way to illuminate the screen that alerts you to the charge level of each battery is to manipulate one of the charge ports. It would be difficult to properly see the amount of charge of each battery in low light. The 9 volt does have a display light that turns green when charged, which would have been a nice feature if done for each battery port. I was very pleased with the safety feature of the charging station switching over to trickle when the battery is fully charged, which protects the battery and its life span. I use the EBL brand batteries in the charging station and have had no issues. The intelligent controls of the charging station are definitely a plus, even alerting the user if a battery is unable to hold a proper charge. Over all, I am very happy with this purchase. It has been extremely useful and cost saving. The small operational flaws such as the poor lighting on the display are far outweighed by the items functionality. I would definitely buy this item again.

Who would have thought something could be so easy to use? We bought the "white" Amazon rechargeable batteries to use with this charger (you'll have to read the reviews under the rechargeable batteries to know why we chose the "white" over the "black" Amazon batteries). You put the battery in the slot by moving the metal slide up. It helps to pay attention to which way the batteries go in the unit. One way to tell you put the batteries in the wrong way is the display does not light up. You put in the batteries and the display lights up to show you how far the charge is moving. When the batteries are charged, the display goes dark, Each battery slot is independent of the other slots. The recharge is pretty fast. The AAA white Amazon batteries were the lowest charge when I put them in the charger and I think it took less than 30 minutes to fully charge them. This unit charges AA,AAA, and 9 volt. I bought AA and AAA and am waiting on the 9V to see if Amazon will manufacture them as a "white" battery.

Just got it home and it holds 10 aa or aaa and 2 9 volt batteries, plugs in the wall via a removable cord. Can't plug directly to a wall socket. Just noticed it's getting hot resting on my leg. It does have 4 very small felt feet on the bottom. The vent is also on the bottom. I will either use it upside die like my modem or raise it up a little higher by adding larger feet. If I have anything pro or chi after using it a while I will do an update. As for now I would definitely recommend it to s friend. It gets pretty hot when charging 10 batteries. When I replaced two of them with two that needed a charge it did not heat up.

Great little charger. The power cable was only a little over a foot and not a problem for me but might be for others. There are NO adjustments or buttons or knobs. The AA or AAA batteries each fit in a spring slot and above each battery is the charging status. Like all chargers it runs a bit hot and will smell slightly at first but that smell will go away. Don't block the ventilation slots on the bottom. I left the charger run overnight and it charged and turned itself off, the unit was cool and the LEDs were off. I/m using it with EBL batteries. The instructions (on the box) says it will charge either NI-MH OR my older NI-CD. It will charge one or more at a time. There are two 9v sockets that I have not used yet. Very happy with both the charger and the EBL 2.8 Ah AA batteries.

I have always envisioned a "charging station." A place where all the things we use regularly - have a place to be charged. We had a four battery charger that could be plugged into any plug but had to use the whole outlet because of its size. It had to have at least two batteries in it to work. It took forever and would blink when the batteries were ready. It also only would charge AA and AAA batteries. I hated everything about this. We researched how to fix this problem once and for all. The reviews for this charger were good and it also could charge 9 volt batteries. We have a lot of gadgets in our home but we also like to use rechargeable batteries if it all possible. The charger arrived on time and was packaged very well. Simple to just plug in and it is ready go. Now we can charge ten total of AA and AAA batteries (each)! All at once. Each bay has its own charge level so you can see which battery is fully charged. It took about five hours at the longest to charge a AAA battery. The bar will show you how far each battery is charging. We also bought the discounted 10 count of AA batteries that this same seller recommends with this charger. We are happy with those batteries too. We have not charged the 9 volt batteries yet, but I do not expect any problems with the charging of those. This charger does not need a large space because of its small size. I believe the instructions say that you can leave the battery in the charger indefinitely, but I have not tried that. All I know is that this charger has made my dream come true for a charging station and uses even less space than the old one did and now my plug ins are not taken up by batteries that need to be charged! We also bough the versa pack charger for this same station and I could not be happier about it! I highly recommend this charger not only for its capability, but for its convenience.
