iTunes gift cards saved my butt when I was in Taiwan on a local SIM card and needed to add Skype credit via the app store, but it wouldn't let me use my credit card for some reason (US restriction?). I loaded with an iTunes gift card and that worked!

Good for using on iTunes but not much else

It was not very useful when I tried to pay for my dinner at the Olive Garden, and my mechanic did not accept it in lieu of regular money. However, I entered the little code on the back into iTunes and it worked! Credit was immediately deposited into my account and I was able to buy some stuff on iTunes. Special note: Once the code has been redeemed the card becomes little more than a flimsy windshield ice-scraper. Buyer beware!!!!

Great value read the fine print

I was a little apprehensive to purchase after reading some of the prior customer complains of a ZERO balance card. The gift card is not the latest exterior packaging of the iTunes brand...maybe these were sold off for less as surplus? No problems redeeming this gift card, however it 'triggered' a choice to purchase music-apps OR Apple Music subscription. It cannot be used for Apple products, as stated on the back of the packaging. Also another reviewer stated that only ONE card could be redeemed per account.

Great value and the card code works

Gift card for a discount is a great value. I was scared that I lost money and expected a scam. But this is not one, well not for me. Code worked. I tried rescanning the code because it did not reflect in my account immediately. After I refresh the screen I saw the amount had loaded into my account. Happy to see I will have something in my account to pay for a subscription. This is a great value!

More Songs for Less Money

I bought this because it was on sale during Christmas. That's like getting free music. I know the trend is towards streaming music. But my decades old CD music collection is uploaded to iTunes and I like to augment my playlists with new music purchases. I don't see value in paying for streaming music. The value to me is in owning it. For now, iTunes allows me to own my music.
