My 13 Year Old Did It! Back in the day that would really be saying something, but I guess it's not so unusual for a teen to out-tech a 50-something. It literally took him about 10 minutes and my laptop was back up & running with a non-busted up screen. This works perfectly on the CB3-111 Acer Chromebook and I'm thrilled that I didn't have to shell out $65 to a computer tech to get it done.
My son dropped his Chromebook at school and the video would only display on the bottom half of the screen. However the video output worked when connected to an external monitor so I knew the problem was with the internal screen. Searching Google I realized it would be easy to replace the screen for the Acer Chromebook 11 CB3-111 myself so I didn't need to buy a brand-new Chromebook. The part shipped quickly and the replacement process was so simple - basically plug-and-play. The quality of the video display on the new screen was noticeably better than the old one - even my son was impressed with how new his old Chromebook suddenly felt!
Followed simple instructions online on how to replace this onto my son's Acer Chromebook. Been working great ever since. My son uses this Chromebook everyday (for past year) and has never had a problem with it. Great product.
