I have had this for a few months now and I love it. I did let it cure for 48ish hours before I put my headphones (Beyerdynamics DT990s) on it which are pretty heavy. Definitely makes my desk look cleaner with them hanging below the desk instead of resting on top. While I don't sweat much I guess years of build up made it so slight grease stains would appear on my desk where the headphones rested so that not being an issue is another pro I enjoy. I do recommend swapping the area you plan on putting the mount with Alcohol and then letting it cure for at least 24hrs (per its instructions) before you attempt to use it. Also it wasn't easy to remove but there is a thin red film over the 3M tape so I wasn't sure where I should start peeling. Pro tip: Just remove the red film/tape even its being stubborn. Don't remove the light grey section even if there is more give there as that is the actual 3M tape that sticks to your desk.

I didn't really have room beneath my desk to hang a set of headphones ... so I just stuck it on the side of the desk (see photo). I can only hang one set of headphones, but that works for me. The Anchor is high quality ... it looks like it will be around for a good long time. The material is soft and flexible ... so gentle on the headphones. The anchoring tape is really strong ... it appears that it will stay put as long as I want it there. This is a very useful item ... really nice to get the headphones off of the desk! It would be perfect if you have a large desk with room to hang a set or two of headphones beneath the desktop ... but even without that space I find The Anchor a good place to park my headphones on the side of my desk.

Fantastic little device. It mounted easily and I would have to really yank on this thing for it to come loose. I've got my Playstation Gold Headset and my Astro A40s hung underneath my desk and it holds them great. The material it uses is flexible so if you are rough with it, there's no fear of it breaking or cracking. I'm going to be purchasing another one for my PC headphones.

Pros: very soft "rubber like" material. Flexible. Should be easy on your cans padded head support. Easy to install. Holds 2 sets of cans (or cans a some wires, etc). Cons: mine used pre-installed 3M VHB tape, which may or may not prove a problem in the long term. Be sure to prep your surface correctly (clean with Isopropyl alcohol and a dust free towel; let it thoroughly evaporate); some surfaces may need to be scored with a fine sandpaper cleaning; then clean again with Isopropyl alcohol after scoring. A light pressure needs to be applied for a good amount of time in order to allow the 3M VHB tape to bond with the surface it's being mounted on. I used wood clamps to adhere mine for about an hour or so. See photos.

Wow! How did I not notice this amazing product sooner?! To start, I own several headphones. I have spent a lot of money on expensive stands to display these headphones. However, as my workspace becomes smaller I find some of these stands taking up a lot of space on the desk counter. I actually found this product through a deals website when it recently went on sale. I had no idea anything like this existed, but when I saw THE ANCHOR PRO, I thought to myself, "What a great idea." I could have saved a few bucks and gotten the standard version. However, I was intrigued by the cord-management feature and I decided to spend a few dollars more to get the Pro. I am very happy I did. To begin with, the anchor feels....well, like an anchor (without the heaviness). It is a very solid product. With the Anchor Pro, you get two installation options, either via the 3M adhesive tape or the included screws. Really, you cannot go wrong with the adhesive tape. I was quite pleased with the strength of the install. I simply removed the protective adhesive covering and firmly pressed the anchor in place beneath my workspace for 30 seconds. It is important to let the Anchor sit for 24 hours to "cure" before hanging your headset. A slight tug at the attached Anchor gives me a sense that this thing is not going anywhere. The adhesive is very strong and does an amazing job of keeping the product in place. I would highly recommend getting the PRO version for the cord management system. It includes two very high-quality cord managers with strong clips and adhesive. You simply unclip each of the clips and thread your charging or headphone cord through it. Since the clips have adhesives on them, they also neatly store away nicely and invisibly beneath your work surface. I use this for my Sony MX1000-m2 wireless headphones. THE ANCHOR PRO keeps them firmly in place. The accompanying cord system keeps my USB charging cord at readiness. This is an amazing product both in its use and overall quality. Go ahead and buy this knowing you are getting a robust product.

***Update January 2019*** I've owned the anchor for four months now. Screws make the headphone holder as solid as day 1, but the adhesive on the cable holder continues to fail. However I'm not docking a point because I feel like i'm trying to make the accessory hold way more cable weight than intended. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I bought the Anchor Pro version September 30th which has no reviews, no photos, no references to ElevationLabs's own website, took a complete shot in the dark and came out with a golden sample? I bought this on September 30th (2018), and according to Camel Camel Camel, there was not a listing/price before that date (meaning they had never had an inquiry before or it was the first day of launch) I was greeted with "Frustration free packaging" (check), and a very robust kit including wood screws! Anyone having issues with their Original kits would most likely be happy with this permanent alternative. The instruction booklet is simple to follow and does actually specify to let the 3M adhesive cure for 24 hours if you're going that route before using it. Notable inclusions that are not talked about in the description are; two additional under desk cable stick-on cable holders, and a "key chain holder" hook in the middle (my mother asked if it could hold a wine opener LOL). These cable holders have three separate grooves in them and held a nice loop of about 10ft of wire + the extra thick USB adapted cable I'm using for my PS4. The new expanded headphone mount holds both my "audiophile" and gaming headset with LOTS of room to spare (I have a photo of them both on the same side) and the screw holes are just far enough apart to get a fatter ratcheting screw driver in. They middle velcro strap to hold cables is nice, and they even include the 1/16" drill bit you need for the pilot holes and the alcohol clean wipe pad! The only thing you need is a screw driver and a drill. I dont know if this product wasn't yet intended for release, or if they're going to release it soon under a different amazon listing, but I sure am happy wit my purchase so far. I opted for the screws since I could actually use the sticker later, though I was disappointed I had to drill through the pre-applied sticker. If this ever comes back to amazon, I HIGHLY recommend it as it seems a great upgrade to the The Anchor Original and well worth the $16.95 I paid (a $5 premium over the $11.95 price at the time of writing)

The picture does not do it justice - THIS THING IS STURDY. I have two pairs of over-ear headphones on it (One for gaming, one for movies/tv shows), and this thing does not budge. I wasn't even able to get the tape to fit completely where it is placed (there's about 20% of it hanging off the edge of my desk) and it doesn't wiggle, doesn't peel or anything. The Anchor itself is made out of a tough but flexible plastic, and even with two cats constantly playing with it it refuses to fall down. It's placed basically right next to my computer chair and I bump it constantly - but it does not fall off. Can't recommend it enough.

It's a pretty sturdy anchor for your headset. If you do plan to remove it and move it somewhere else, keep in mind that you will need a blowdryer to warm up the glue to remove it. The 3M adhesive pad is extremely strong, so just work at it to get it off. When you DO want to reinstall it, you are going to need to buy another double-sided 3M pad though. Also, you should consider putting some epoxy or other strong glue between the 3M pad and the anchor. The surface of the anchor there is pretty smooth plastic, and merely sticking the 3M pad doesn't seem to securely keep it on when it is put under weight. My headset has gotten dented several times before I decided to glue the darn thing down. But if you already got your ideal spot and plan to keep it there forever, the initial setup should be perfect for you.

Often it's the simple, straight forward products that--provided they get it right--are the most useful. This product fits that bill perfectly well: a simple, elegant solution to keep your desk top free of its much needed real estate. My gaming headset takes up a lot of room, and it's one of those things that are awkward to store without either a stand or a product like this. There have been some reviews on here where the adhesive failed to hold. There may be a lot of factors to cause that to happen, the surface was not quite suitable, for example, or the sticky surface was not held in place for adequate amount of time for secure attachment. I have two of these and both have been solidly staying put, and they do not seem to want to drop off. For best results, make sure the surface where the hook will attach to is hard, flat, and clean. Before you take the cover off the 3M sticky, mark exactly where it will go with a pencil or marker. Take the cover off of the sticky, then put it under a lighter flame for a few seconds until the adhesive is nicely soft and sticky. Then the most important thing to do is to stick it on the surface and push against it with all your might for about 30 - 60 seconds. After that push on the surface of the hook mount forcefully with your thumb. Think of the adhesion as glue, you must hold it in place for it to get a good, strong bond. If all else fails, or if it eventually falls off for whatever reason, there is always the trusty wood screw option. The product has a hole on each side of the base to allow for screw attachment. The screws are not included, so a trip to Home Depot may be necessary.

I wanted to give these a month or so of use to tell if there are any problems. So far, I have only found The Anchor to be useful in providing a space to safely store my headphones and to reduce some cable clutter. As others have noted, the ability to stick The Anchor to many surfaces allows it to be used under, or on the side of a desk. I am impressed with the quality of the silicone, it is stiff but very slightly springy, it allows some bending to put on or remove the headphone without any risk of dropping them. The size of the hanger is just right for my needs, low enough to use without too much fiddling, but high enough to conserve some space. The width should also be sufficient to allow any 2 headphones to hang together. For reference, I am using a single AKG K7XX (very large diameter earcup) and if I wanted to hang another headphone, I certainly could. All in all, I have no complaints, this is a high-quality product at a great price.
