It actually works

Incredible. It actually works really well. Put your hat in the dish washer with NO dishes. Put in the soap pod. Run it. I open the hat washer but let the hat stay in it while it dries to keep its shape. Takes about a day to dry sitting on the counter. Much better than dry cleaning - which ruined a black LA KIngs cap of mine. now its black with brownish around the brim. GO KINGS GO. Does NOT work on Sharks or Ducks hats.

***Dishwasher Magic*** This product can really clean a dirty cap!

I read the directions about a top load washer only and I thought crap, I only have a front loader, but the GF read the entire directions and the dishwasher top shelf option works fantastic!! My treasured JD cap came out looking like new from the DISHWASHER! We used an unscented dishwasher soap on the light wash cycle with no dry. We just took it out and left it in the frame to air dry.

Simple and works well. Dirt and sweat smells gone

No more gross dirty hats!!!

I bought this to wash all of my husband's hats. I have used it in the dishwasher with no issues. He curves the brim of his hats a lot and I was nervous it might flatten it but it didn't; much to my relief. I was also able to spray the whole hat (inside and out) while it was in the holder with stain remover. That was nice since I didn't have to worry about getting the spray all over my hands. My husband was also impressed with how clean his hats are now. Some of them he even said he forgot the original color of!! Ewe!!! I have already recommended this to friends and family!!

Works Like A Charm!

Works like a charm! It's given new life to my favorite baseball caps, some of which, I'm sad to report, have suffered tragically in washing machine incidences. Never would I have considered the dishwasher, but Ballcap Buddy said yes, so I tried it, and not only did my caps get clean, but they retained their shape. It's a perfect way to wash a baseball cap. Different styles, different colors and materials...all came out the same: Looking good.

It did an excellent job for a couple of very dirty caps

I just got this from Amazon.com yesterday. I had two ball caps that I use when working out. They were both caked with sweat stains. In fact the reason I bought this ball cap washer was because one of the caps smelled so bad I couldn't even wear it on runs outside, not to mention a closed space like the gym. As soon as the product arrived I read the instructions, and decided that the dishwasher seemed the better idea (you can also put it in a washing machine). I placed the first cap in the ball cap buddy, placed it in the top rack of the dish washer, and put *maybe* a tea spoon of dish detergent in the detergent compartment. I set the washer to its quickest setting, which on my machine is "Glasses Express". It ran for 20 minutes and out came a clean, soaking wet hat. I took it out of the ball cap buddy and set it on a towel to dry. I did the same with the second. This morning I got ready to go for a run and looked at both caps. They both looked really good, and smelled clean. I have 3 or 4 more hats that are going in the dishwasher as soon as I get my next load of dishes done. I am very happy. For the price you cannot go wrong.

Great product, don’t open at the lid only open at back of cage

I really like this. I have washed two hats so far and it’s worked great. One Red Sox pro fit and the other was a net snap back. Both washed really well in the dishwasher. All sweat stains removed. Make sure you read the instructions. You are not supposed to open this from the lid part of the cap. Only open it from the back. I didn’t read the instructions and opened it from the lid part. Now it doesn’t stay snapped all the time at the lid part. It still works great. It’s my fault I didn’t follow instructions so I’m not marking this product down.

Nope. It didn't flatten the bill of my cap. I recommend this Ballcap Buddy

I was concerned the Ballcap Buddy would flatten the bill of my cap. It didn't. It maintained the shape of the bill at the original bend and held the cap in place in the dishwasher. I ran it with dishes, but that didn't matter. The cap came out fine. I left it in the Buddy to dry to maintain the shape of the crown. Again, that came out fine as well. I highly recommend the Ballcap Buddy.

Works great in the washing machine

I used this to bring my husband's 20-plus year old UNH cap back to life. It was lost for a long time, and it was filthy and sticky when it turned up. No idea what got it so gross. I tried the dishwasher, which is the recommended method, but it didn't really get the hat clean. The package says not to put it in a front loading washer, but I tried it anyway, just the hat and a few other small items, on "hand wash" setting. Worked great that way! I let the hat dry in the holder, and the shape is better than it was before, too.

Well I'll be darn

My initial thought after opening the Amazon box and seeing the flimsy cheap plastic item was, "there goes $8 bipucks"' but.... to my delight the product worked amazingly well. Simple instructions: open hat buddy from the BACK, place hat in, put in dishwasher (top rack), put in non-lemon scented detergent (don't know) and turn on light cycle (no heat dry). Let dry in hat buddy device. The dirtiest grimiest hat I had came out like new. Note: it says not to use in dishwasher with top shelf agitator but I did with no issues. Just make sure it doesn't hit the hat buddy. Sorry photos are upside down. Amazons fault, not mine.
