Costco may have a newer, better model

Terrific toy, my 5 year old loves it! There are a few electronic glitches, but they are live-with-able (like, you press on Spain and it gives you Saudi Arabia; it doesn't happen all the time, but is completely random when it does occur). Costco had a newer model out this past Christmas, I encourage you to check that out - design wise it looks so much better thought out.

So engaging!

This globe is definitely worth the money. My kids are so engaged with all the different activities. I hope that this globe will serve us for years to come. The only minor complaint is that every time the globe is turned off and then back on, the volume gets turned up to the highest setting, which is LOUD. I wish that it would remember the last volume setting used. Still love this globe.

Very interesting way to teach children about geography and countries

Was working perfectly until two days ago haven’t diagnosed the problem me up maybe it’s batteries and if that’s the case I will add more stores to my review because it’s pretty cool and my son loved it when it was working. It quit working about a week and a half after he received it. Edit: easily exchanged the lemon and received the replacement promptly and with ease. Works great and we have fun as family playing geography games with it. A+ for us

Fun for all ages!

My kids (ages 10, 8, and 7) all love playing with this globe in different ways. My 7 year old loves to hear the national anthems, my 8 year old loves to poke around and learn the locations of the different countries, continents, and states, and my 10 year old has used it to learn how to say “hello” in over 30 languages. This globe is awesome! I’m so happy that I went with this one!

My 11-year-old daughter loves this! It's an excellent hands-on tool (manipulative) that is helping her get a visual idea of where countries are around the world and get a better mental picture of U.S. geography. This is a great tool that enables her to make better mental connections and gain deeper comprehension than just staring at a map of the world and trying to memorize where everything is. Using the stylus kids can touch a country and HEAR the name, SEE the country, TOUCH and FEEL the topography. There are fun extras like learning the population of countries (and comparing them in population to another country of the student's choice), and even learning a word or two of native language of any country the child touches with the stylus. There are challenge games built in as well and a host of other exploration activities. This has been a great tool to use in conjunction with what my child is learning in her 6th grade social studies class. I can happily say I feel like I got my money's worth with this item. I'm a happy mom.

This globe is really great. We purchased for our 8yr old and it's very informative. There is quite a lot of different learning options. He likes to hear the different anthems and languages from all the countries. I love that it's something the whole family can use.

Great interactive globe

excellent globe. the music, however, is incredibly annoying. Every time it says a fact or a country name it does makes a song / tune.... literally every time. no option to turn that song / tune off. couldn't be more annoying. easily a quick programming fix and this globe would be great.

WHAT A FUN WAY TO LEARN GEOGRAPHY!

This may be the most wonderful gift I ever bought my grandson!! There are so many functions, ways to quiz yourself, and I'm learning too. He loves world geography and this globe has it all. Languages, money, fun facts,capitols and so much more. I love the USA map on one side, he says the state and the capitol before he touches it just to check himself. It came with the batteries and was ready for play right out of the box. I like that it says goodbye when he turns it off, so no wasted batteries from being left on. He is seven but this is great even for high school kids. The shipping was Amazon Prime fast, and the price was right. I'd recommend this to anyone. What a fun way to learn!

A Big Hit With My Grandson

While visiting my house this summer my 4 year old grandson and I pulled out the globe and we checked out all the places he had visited in his 4 years o life. I showed him how far away he lives from us and we explored. He asked if I would buy him a globe for his 5th Birthday. Can't really argue with that. I let him pick out the globe with is Mom's help and they send a video of Tanner opening the globe. This is a wonderful gift for children to learn about their world, other countries, and discover the differences between geography of locations. They can push the button and learn of the population, culture and so much more. Tanner loved this so much that my daughter had to ask him to put it away while they ate dinner. He wanted to take it along on his trip to visit his paternal grandparents. I was truly surprised at how much he loved this gift. If you have a child interested in learning about the world this is the globe to buy. It arrived within a couple of days of ordering and in excellent condition. Thank you
