So refreshing to find a key locator that is so simple yet actually works to perfection
I have tried most of the so-called Key "Trackers" including TIle, Mynt and none of them worked with enough reliability for me to trust them. Most ate up batteries within a fraction of the time they claimed the batteries would last. Also, the others always relied on a Bluetooth connection which ate up my smartphone's battery. The Mynt was actually using 37% of my cellphone battery?? The KeyRinger uses sound to locate your keys, etc. You get 2 key fobs and pressing the button on one device will activate a sound signal and turn on the alert sound and flashing LED on the other if it's within 300 feet. It has much better range than BlueTooth which is only good for about 40 feet, and If the other device is out of range, you wouldn't hear it anyway. You can go to KeyRinger.com and you can get your cellphone, tablet or PC to emit the "Find" signal and the device will activate the sound signal to help you locate the device....but you must be within 300 feet. These devices are really loud....I'm not kidding..I am hard of hearing and wear two hearing aides and they are really, really loud! They come from the factory loud enough to hurt your ears but they are not even at the loudest setting !! That probably why they have a volume adjustment setting on their website. I have only had mine for a few days and I am very impressed with the simplicity and reliablity of these devices. Somebody with a brain designed these and bypassed all the unreliable high tech solutions that others have used and came up with a brilliant solution.

Failproof Key Finders
ok, so everyone else has no clue how to review this item. First, the 2 key ringers arrive ready for use. Double clicking one activates the other. The second ringer will begin with a low sound and gradually increase to an almost ear splitting level. The directions that accompany the items warn about this. No pets nearby. Second, there's a lot of cool stuff one can do with multiple ringers, or even just the 2 ringers. It all comes from using the manufacturer's web site. The directions explain all the options, including use of one's smart phone of all things. As others have pointed out, other key finders cannot compare to these. The others make sound that's hardly audible. Just the opposite with these. In the immortal words of Yossi Dina of Beverly Hills Pawn, "Don't think about it, just buy it".

Almost a great product (update: it actually is a great product!)
I bought a pair of these since my wife has a habit of misplacing her keys. The product is quite effective for locating them when she can't. It's almost a great product. We've been toting them around for several months now. My one complaint is that it is too easy to set it beeping while in my pocket, not a good thing when you are in a meeting. If you don't carry your keys in your pockets that wouldn't be a problem, although my wife has managed to inadvertently set hers off inside her purse. It would be a better design if the push button that causes this was another kind of switch. All in all it is a well made and effective product, but I'm demoting it to 4 stars for having the problem noted. Update: I was contacted by the company after posting this review. It turned out my false alarms were being caused by a factory setting, where you are given 1 second to do the double click that activates the beep which signals the device is going into search mode. Lo and behold, you can change that (and quite a few other settings) through the company's website. They even walked me through the process to verify a successful change to a double click interval of 1/10th second, which I'm very unlikely to trigger by bumping my pocket. That fully addresses my complaint so I've raised my rating to 5 stars. Pretty impressive capabilities for this kind of device, all in all, and great customer service. Through the web site you can actually set up multiple combinations of device behavior if you opt have need for more than two.

This is a real solution and it seriously works.
I have tried several different systems, battery operated beepers or internet based. This one really works. I have one on my keys and one on my cell phone. These are the two main things I need to locate quickly when I am ready to go out the door. And I usually have one or the other. And I can use one to find the other. It doesn't require a main controller. Double click the button, then it starts beeping softly and gets louder until it is a really compelling sound that cannot be ignored. It continues until you turn it off with the found item. It takes you to the exact location within the house where the item is. There are ones where you have to log onto the internet to find your item-- how is that going to work when you are in a hurry to get out the door? [Try Lookout or Find-My-Phone free apps.] And then it shows you a dot on the map that tells you it is somewhere in your house -- and you knew that already. Or there are the beeper systems where you have one main controller which itself can get misplaced, and the beeping isn't strong enough to hear if the item you want is at the bottom of your purse or under a magazine or a pillow. Yes, I know I should always hang my keys on the hook when I come in the door. But it doesn't happen. This is a real solution and it seriously words.

I love it --- it makes life easier -- find your keys when lost
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A PRODUCT TO FIND YOUR KEYS OR OTHER ITEM ---- try this! I admit it ---- I do need this -- I have one attached to my phone carry case and one to my keys -- you can get other and they all work together. Can't find an item? Simply click one......... Beep one and they all go off. They are loud. Sometimes keys fall between the seats and this allows me to find it fast. One time I left my phone in the grocery basket. Called the store they said, they didn't have it. I went over to the store and beeped it and waa---la it was in the row of shopping carts. I have had mine for a year (actually this is my second one, which I had for a couple years). I will always have one for my keys. Also great for TV REMOTE, purse, phone, keys -- anything you lose that you need to find. Tested and approved. Love it.

I love that it is NOT mining your location information, unlike other key locators out there.
I've had this for a couple of months. I don't have to use very often because I **normally** remember to put my keys in the same place each time. But it's great when I do misplace my keys because it saves me so much time! Inevitably, your keys go missing at the worst possible time when you are rushing to get out the door! I put the extra one in my pantry cabinet so it doesn't get lost. I really really love the fact that they are a stand alone product. I had considered purchasing something like Square, but then I realized that your location is visible to the company that makes Square and they potentially could sell your information to a third party. I'm already annoyed that my smartphone is mining so much data about me! Call me old-fashioned. It seems pretty durable because the unit attached to my keys gets a regular beating with occasional drops on the floor. I used the set up procedure to customize the initial alarm button and the double click latency. It's so great I'm purchasing some for my parents and my in-laws!

This is hands down one of the best investments I have made
This is hands down one of the best investments I have made. I fly RC planes and Quads (aka Drones), When racing quads you will crash, Lots of times the battery gets ejected so the on-board beeper is non-functional. Crashing in a 300 acre field with tall grass makes it impossible to find. This KeyRinger has helped me recover my drone numerous times. My demonstration of this has convinced several others to also purchase this device. I buy extra to keep on hand to sell to people who don't want to wait.

Good Range, Loud Alarm
Since we just received, activated and tested these, this feedback is simply for performance (not enough time to assess reliability). Set up was rock dumb, although we did neglect to initially activate both remotes but figured that out after a lengthy 15 seconds. Again, easy set up: √ Batteries already installed √ Activate BOTH (or all) remotes by pressing blue button twice, on EACH remote Tested by placing one remote at the very front of the house, then activating other remote at very rear part of house, with heavy wood doors closed, through lathe & plaster walls (heavy metal content which blocks even the best digital stud finder), a total distance of about 80-feet. Audibility is LOUD (someone commented that he/she could not hear the remotes when they are in his/her jacket; well, that's entirely possible. If I place one of these in my down ski jack pocket, zipper closed, leave the jacket in my truck, walk 10 feet away, I most likely would NOT hear it either). Again, these are loud, with the ability to hear the alarm with remotes at opposite ends of the house. While it's entirely possible to receive a bad or malfunctioning remote, it would seem a lot of the negative feedback on this "KeyRinger-Key Finder" forum can be attributed to the infamous UES - "user error syndrome" (dead batteries - inexpensive and easily replaced; we purchased 5 add'l batteries for less than $5.00, failure to properly setup/activate BOTH remotes, etc., etc., etc., again, simply UES). So we consider the buyer ratings on this forum over 4.8 stars, ideal other than a 5-star rating. Regarding reliability, well, another commenter cited that they wished they had purchased the insurance. For the amount buyers would pay for that extended coverage/insurance, the aggravation of possibly needing to submit a claim, the time and effort to do so, that additional 2 years of coverage isn't worth it from a personal perspective. These come with a 2-year warranty. Chances are, should one of these fail after that 2-year warranty, there will be improvements, enhancements offering an upgraded model. So, the hassle of an additional 2 years of coverage just isn't rational.

Absent minded Dad
Love these since I am constantly losing my keys, sunglasses, hat, shoes and my wallet. I bought a wallet that is attached to my phone so now when I lose my wallet or phone I just use my wife's phone and call my wallet. Anyways my poor wife I usually have to ask her if she has seen whatever I have lost but these are great no Bluetooth that never syncs, and always loses a connection. I just press the button twice and find my keys it even works through doors very sensitive. One did break but they immediately sent out a replacement no questions asked. It was within the warranty period. I mean I sent in the request and received a new one within 2-3 days!!! Excellent customer service which is very rare now days. I will be purchasing these again to give as gifts.
