Best purchase I have made in a long time.
This pillow saved my life. Not literally, but it did save my breastfeeding journey. I am a size 16 and the bopping just wouldn't stay in the right place when I was nursing. My baby would slip down between me and the pillow and the bopping would slide right out. My son had a tongue tie, making nursing difficult except in very specific positions. This pillow takes out all of the struggle. I can readjust and sit comfortably. My son has plenty of room to lay. I agree with the other comments, that the foam insert is a poor design as there is nothing to prevent it from absorbing liquid, but I did as the other comments suggested and placed the fitted plastic packaging over the foam under the fabric cover and it is excellent protection. Love this pillow.

Love! Highly recommended!
This thing was a life saver especially when my son was 0-6 months. Being a new mom nursing was obviously new to me to trying to get comfortable and stay comfortable during feeds was difficult. I happened to be over at my sister in-laws struggling to get comfortable while nursing my baby and she pulled out her breast friend pillow... I ended up ordering my own before I even got up from the rocking chair I had fell so much in love with it! I loved the support I felt in my back from the strap going all the way around my body to almost help lessen the weight of holding the baby. The fact that it didn’t move or slide out from underneath and I didn’t have to constantly adjust. The material is also very soft and easy to wash, and I loved the small pocket it had where I would put my phone, burp cloth, binky etc. so I didn’t lose it or have to worry about having extra hands help as I moved from room to room.

Way BETTER than the Boppy pillow.
Definitely my Brest Friend Nursing Pillow. This is so much better than the Boppy pillow. the buckle with adjustable Velcro strap is wonderful. It fits very well and having the back pillow is great too. I wish the back support went up a little higher to give a more even back cushioning. The pocket in the front is nice too. I ended up putting the plastic cover it came in on the inside to give the inside pillow waterproof protection from accidental burp ups and bathroom mishaps . Hopefully in the future they can improve it by adding a waterproof liner for the inside and adding a small lip on the outer edge of the pillow to prevent baby from rolling when we bend over slightly. But a Great Pillow and Highly recommend it to an nursing mothers and fathers out there.

Highly recommend
I could not of lived without this. Useful for feedings also to hold her when she was sleeping in arms so ur arms don't get tired. My husband was even able to use it. I love that it buckles around you so no worries about it sliding off. I love love love this so much.

This is the best purchase we made for early on with a newborn
This is the best purchase we made for early on with a newborn. It's not only a lifesaver for nursing, but also helps stabilize my little boy when I'm walking around with him (to clarify, it is not sturdy enough to support a baby on its own, and doesn't have any lip to hold them on - I still am holding him with my arms, just use the extra support to help stabilize him). Very nice for those nights walking up and down the hallway to calm him. The cover is reasonably easy to get on and off for washing. My only complaint is the Velcro strap for resizing - it's loud, and if any of the scratchy Velcro is exposed, catches his gauze swaddles and lighter clothing, leaving runs and holes. I wish the Deluxe had a different sizing mechanism, whether a belt-like apparatus with holes and a buckle or a sliding strap. But still 5 stars.

Wonderful Infant Support for Mother with Back Pain
I appreciate this product as it allows me to feed my newborn, let her rest as I sit comfortably, and lets me enjoy a meal or snack in between nursing her. I was given another product to use before I purchased this one. The product I was given kept slipping and it felt as if I needed another set of hands just to hold it into place. With My Breast Friend I'm able to secure the strap around my body and focus on my baby; I don’t worry that the support will fall. I also have back injuries and the support of the back pillow helps me to sit upright and maintain good posture while holding my infant. It’s also very soft. I don’t worry about the fabric or cushion being the quality my infant needs as the makers of this product certainly had infant comfort in mind too. I will recommend My Breast Friend anyone wanting to have their baby close to them and feel secure knowing the product will not shift or move.

Great for nursing
I bought this after a recommendation and using it at my lactation doctor's office. This is so much better than the Boppy for breastfeeding. I never used the pocket for water so found that a little pointless, but could see me using it originally when I had to use a nipple shield and used nipple cream so easy access. It is a little annoying you have to actually put it completely around you and buckle instead of just sliding it on you like the Boppy, but that is why it stays on so well and creates a great position for you to nurse your child in. Easy to adjust sizing and just need to once. Stinks you can't wash the foam, but in terms on ease for nursing it is really amazing. Unfortunately, it doesn't have other uses, but I still use this a year later (just buckle it lower) for nursing. Just makes it comfortable for both mama and baby.

This pillow saved me!
My daughter was born with a tongue tie and had an extremely painful latch. I had a boppy nursing pillow that I used, but she would slide between it and me, and it did not properly support her tiny newborn body. The hospital and Lactation consultant had a my brest friend pillow for me to use, and it wasn’t until my fourth time using it that it clicked for me that my daughter latched well and nursing was less painful when I was with the Lactation consultant, and the support and positioning of the pillow was the reason why! I immediately purchased one for myself and used it every time I nursed until my daughter got a little bigger and I no longer needed the extra support.

Worth the money!
I am currently breastfeeding my second child. I breastfed my first for a little over a year. I have researched a lot of nursing pillows since that was what I was going to be spending a lot of my time doing. For my first child I decided to go with the Gia Nursing Pillow because I read that the boppy pillows didn’t provide enough support and that babies sink in the pillow easily, causing you to hunch over, etc. I liked that it was designed by lactation consultants and there was a raised side, and of course because of the low price! Once I used it for a while, I didn’t like having to switch it every single time I switched sides, and I found that my baby sunk in the pillow just as much as she would on a boppy pillow. I also didn’t use a cover for it since it was machine washable, and my wedding ring was constantly snagging the stitching all over the pillow. So now, it is being used to prop my baby up, although it’s trickier than a boppy pillow since both sides aren’t the same. With my second child I wanted to invest more into breastfeeding supplies, since that is something very important to me, so why not make it easier on the mom? :) I researched pillows again when I was pregnant to see what other options were out there. I was interested in the Kushies pillow, since it was foam, the baby wouldn’t sink, and I wouldn’t have to switch sides every time. I was weary that it wasn’t machine washable, wasn’t waterproof, and honestly there wasn’t a cover that I loved. If it’s going to be sitting on my couch, and I’m going to be looking at it all the time, I wanted to love it! My husband suggested I get the Brest Friend pillow because of the back support. That was pretty much the deciding factor. I was weary again because the pillow itself wasn’t machine washable, and all the reviewers were saying it was a pain to wrap around you and buckle while your baby was waiting to eat. After using it for almost a month now, I am so glad I bought it! I took the advice of some reviewers and immediately used the plastic packaging as a “waterproof” layer under my soft cover before I even used it. This way I wouldn’t have to worry about a gross foam pillow underneath, since I plan to use this for a while! Placing the plastic packaging underneath does make it a little crinkly, but it’s very minimal compared to knowing your pillow will be protected and clean for your baby. I only really notice the “crinkle” as I’m buckling it around my stomach. My baby sits high (I do the cradle hold), doesn’t move, the material of the cover is really nice and soft, and the raised head supports are a nice touch! Now the only thing that would make this better would be if I had a nursing stool -- but crossing my legs does the trick. Buckling it while your baby is hungry is not that big of a deal--it only takes 5 seconds, and you’re ready to go. I’m thankful for the back support it provides! I haven’t used the pocket yet. I kind of wish it wasn’t there because I don’t use it, but I’m sure it’s helpful for those who use nipple cream, or want to keep something small in there. Looks wise, I don’t really care for it. But again, not that big of a deal when you look at the positives! I had a lot of trouble breastfeeding my first and sought help from a lactation consultant. She was highly against all nursing pillows, claiming none give you the best position your baby needs for the perfect latch. I can totally see where she is coming from. She used waterproof pillows that you use in the hospital after delivery, and would fold them in half, push and shove them until they gave me the best support. I did like using those, and they probably do give you better support and positioning than any “nursing pillow” out there, but I like that every time I buckle the Brest Friend pillow around my waist, I am going to have the same results without any “pushing or shoving”. Quick and easy--very important for me while I’m taking the pillow off and on, off and on, all day long! I hope this is helpful for all you moms out there! Breastfeeding is hard work, and even harder if you don’t have the right tools and support. Let me know if you have any questions…I would love to help!

One of the best products I’ve found!
Really love this product! I tried Boppy and regular pillows for nursing but all have offered less support. I’ve struggled with back pain and overuse injuries throughout my life and nursing two previous babies has always made it worse. With my third, I got this product and gave it a try and I am so glad I did! It’s sturdy, provides back support, and puts baby into the ideal position for long hours of nursing. I’ve recommended this to family and friends. My only issue with this one is when I stripped the cover recently to wash it, the foam appeared to have aged (maybe it sat in the sun somewhere?) and peeled off when removing the cover. It doesn’t seem to affect use and I am continuing to use it without functional issues. Overall, highly recommend! See the helpful video a dad/husband posted on this product page.
