Cruisen likes them & uses them in each house, much to the relief of all of our Rugs/Carpets!
We REALLY like this product as our very finicky Yorkie will actually use it for BOTH functions & not do it to our Persian rugs for the most part! The gel action is very pronounced. No liquid pools, but the gel does get cold. It makes for a Rude awakening when you plant your foot on one in the dark, but, it's only cold & not "wet". We have his on our subscribe & save monthly when we don't have tenents & drop it down to one every two months when our rental has tenants since a week's worth is now SIX pads in our main house & 4 pads in the rental. One ends up playing hopscotch thru the peepads & putting words to an old song; "Tip toe thru the pee pads, past the gel spots, to the com-pu-ter, OH, tip toe thru the pee pads with me...!" The edges stick a bit, and he act of walking over one to five can cause some overflap so u significant actually STAPLES them to our carpet. This works perfectly to keep all corners firmly down & our little Peecasso cannot wait to ank up on water to w art marking them, one the signifcant finishes.

Excellent product, gels well, keeps things enclosed, smell reduction & easy to clean up, only a touch sticky when first opened.
This product we get shipped practically monthly now. When we were working on the rental getting it ready for occupancy, we had to use these pads at both houses & we used a LOT of them. Yorkies are notorious for not paying attention to where they pee, & our Yorkie was no sloucher. We call her Peecaso, because, obviously, once the new clean pee pads were down, it was a challenge. When we changed both the vinyl flooring & the carpet, we thought that we had taken all of the challenges, another renter's dog's pee, old pee spots from when she was growing up, but we forgot about the need to mark new property. So pee pads had to ABOUND. They worked. They worked well & there was no residual smell. We love the product & hope that the 100 size will make it to the subscribe & save as well as the 50. Excellent product. Still squishy to step on directly..ugh, but definitely gels when hit.

Deserves 5 stars!
Not sure why anyone would give these less than 4 stars. They work as intended. My 7 week old puppy learned to use her puppy pads fast. She picked up the lavender scent quickly. I place two in different spots of a room because I know how dogs like to travel and sniff around. Overall, I am very satisfied and purchase the $5 ones frequently. I will soon start to let her transition to going potty outside. My vet recommended taking a puppy pad out into the yard to let her smell it. We'll see if it works!

I have these on auto order
We adopt older senior dogs and have only one at a time. Our last two girls, including the one we have now, Just didn't have the bladder control of a younger dog. (or possibly, there were never house trained. ) These pads let us live in peace knowing our house doesn't smell like urine. Our current dog is a 11 lb girl, and she will still occasionally go somewhere other than the pad, but it is rare. She almost always uses the pads, and they lock in the smell and have a faint lavender order that is pleasant. We keep 3 pads around the house, and they don't leak. However our windows and doors are almost always open and the wind will occasionally blow one over and then of course if she pees on the plastic , it will run on the floor. I have never had an issue with these pads leaking. The only thing that could make them better would be to have each corner weighted, lol.

Work great and inexpensive.
Really absorbent in top. waterproof Plastic liner on the bottom. Some kind of "gel" traps urine and really does a nice job in reducing smell. If you're using them for training a kitten etc, they fit in the bottom of a cat litter tray. One of my cats has confused a random, but consistent spot in our den (thankfully tile, not carpet) for her litter box. I put these pads on the random spot. She uses them. They can handle maybe two pees each. Lots easier to clean up than the floor. For you saying, why didn't he move the litter box to the random spot? We tried that. She peed next to the box. After a while, we tried again. Put litter box with pad in it instead of litter. She was ok with that. We gradually put litter into the box until, after a few weeks, it was mostly litter. Then we gradually moved. Her box back to the other box. Despite my hope and wishes, she still won't use the other box. But hers isn't that bad to clean.

Thank You, Hartz, From a Pet Grandma
First of all, I'd like to give a big shout-out to Amazon for their Amazon Prime Subscribe &Save delivery service. For the past couple of months, I've bought most of my pet suppliesthrough this service and had them delivered, with no shipping costs, to my home, and it is a godsend. I rely on the bus for my transportation, have asthma, and am retired, on a budget. The winter weather has been bitterly cold here recently in Michigan, so this service has also helped immensely in preventing having to go out in below freezing temperatures with heavy-duty wind chills. I saw these pads advertised on a webpage I was visiting one time, at a reasonable price, and thought I'd give them a try. We have an older dog that piddles in one of the hallways, and the clean-up is quite regular. I've tried other puppy pads in the past, but after trying these Hartz pads, I like their size, their absorbency, and their affordable price. After trying these, I decided to keep them on my Subscribe and Save list. They make clean-up SO Much faster and easier. I would heartily recommend them.

Works great for a senior dog.
I needed a dog pad for my senior shih tzu. She's 16 yo and she still manages to go outside to do her thing. Its mainly for overnight that i used these for her. I didn't think she would go on them, but she did. She went pee on it and it stayed in one place, so i was able to pick it up and throw it away. I always keep her in the kitchen and she has the whole kitchen which is pretty big to do anything, but when i put these pee pads down she actually went on them. I was surprised!! I thought na these are not going to work for my dog, but they did work out nicely. If you have a senior dog i would recommend these. I have had dogs all my life so im pretty skeptical on everything regarding my dog , and the other reviews helped a lot.

AMAZING
These are hands down the best pee pads I have ever used. I can’t smell the lavender at all, but I really don’t care. They absorb so well I was actually thinking something was wrong with my dog because the urine spots were so small. It wasn’t my dog, the pad just absorbed everything in one spot and the urine doesn’t run. Also, on a random note: my dishwasher flooded one day and I just so happened to have two of these on the floor by it (keep the pads on the kitchen in case the dog doesn’t quite get it on the pad) and these babies soaked up a ton of water! I didn’t even have to use many towels to clean up my flooded kitchen. Awesome awesome product.

A Superior Lavender-Scented Pee Pad
Through trial and error, I found this Hartz Home Protection brand pads, and I love them. This brand differs from even the better brands because they turn the urine into a gel, making them last longer (usually 3 pees for my pups) and clean up A LOT easier. Myself and my two, 15-year-old Maltese, Romeo & Juliet, are no strangers to puppy pee pads, and typically go through about one per day. Romeo is on diuretic medicine, and when he urinates, A LOT of liquid needs to be absorbed. We went through several cheap brands, only to learn that they can leak terribly, leaving a nasty mess to clean, and essentially rendering them useless. We are very happy with this brand, for the following reasons: Absorbency/Leak Proof Compared to every other brand we have tried, these have the least amount of leakage. Occasionally, there is some urine runoff from the sides of the pad, but I believe this is because Romeo, my male dog, has bad aim. If the dogs urinate in the center of the pad, there are VERY rarely any leaks from this brand. For the purposes of testing and reviewing, I poured water on this pad and another brand, The Buddy Pad. With The Buddy Pad Brand, the material didn’t seem to expand to retain the water, but spread out the water much like a paper towel would. While the water never leaked through the bottom, but it did eventually spread to the sides and spill over. This Hartz Brand clearly absorbed more water, and it could noticeably be seen and felt that the water was turning to gel. The gel prevented the water from leaking through the bottom layer, and even visibly stopped the water from spreading out past the side edges. Odor Protection/Scent I have purchased both the regular variety and the lavender scented variety of this Hartz Pad. Prior to use, the regular variety has no scent, and the lavender version smells fresh and lavender scented. However, this and every brand we have ever used, still smells like pee after they have been peed on. Material The description indicates 5 layers. I cut one open and included the picture. At first glance, only 3 layers can be seen, but if you look very closely, you can tell that the inside layer is comprised of 3. The top layer is thin and fibrous and pretty tear resistant. The 3 inside layers are cotton-like. The bottom layer is thin and plastic-like, and water resistant. In the Lavender scented version, this bottom layer is a cute purple color (as pictured), and the regular variety is a soft, light green color. For comparison, The Buddy Pad Brand is also made of 5 similar layers, though that brand is quilted (see photo- though this doesn’t seem to make any difference). Size This brand is slightly smaller than The Buddy Pad Brand, 21”X21” compared to 22”X22”. However, I believe the actual padding part is the same size, and it is just the outer edge lining that is larger in that other brand (see photo). Price These are currently on sale on Amazon for $12.72 for 50 pads, which is much more affordable than the $25 for the same 50ct of The Buddy Pad Brand. While there are many less expensive brands available (I’ve seen some as low as $0.10 per pad), in our experience, these are the highest quality available, and are truly an excellent value. (Especially considering these Hartz brand pads usually last through 3 pees, while others need to be changed after 1 or 2.) Packaging These pads are packaged folded thin for convenience. Also, not that it really requires much direction, but these do have instructions, suggestions, and product and contact info printed on the back of the package. Pros: ++ Turns Urine Into Gel! + No Center Leak-Through + Minimal Side-Leakage (Comparatively) + 5 Absorbent/Leak Resistant Layers + Packaged Thinly Folded + Detailed Info Printed on Package + Great Cost Value + Lavendar-Scented & Pretty Purple Color Cons: - None of Significance to Report at This Time * I am committed to providing completely honest and unbiased reviews. Thank you, Hartz
Best thing ever since sliced bread for my aging, incontinent, little shelter dog, no one wanted. He would have been at the shelter forever a s I can keep him for the rest of his natural life thanks to Hartz. Eight years old Pom mix adopted and found incontinent when I brought home and by then was in love with.. Tried every kind of pad from specialty stores to grocery store, until I found these. Perfect. Quick drying, wonderful lavender scent. Will not leak thru like every other pad I tried. Was so easy to train my dog to use these instead of rug or floor. Something in the product attracts canine to do their business on the pad. I simply showed my little rescue companion his pad and let him smell it. No further training. Also, I am very crippled. Sometimes I can't keep up with the old dog's needs, so the pads have solved a multitude of issues. Also, without these pads I would never be able to keep my tiny little friend safe from frostbite in sub zero weather conditions when his miniscule paws cannot tolerate the frigid ice and snow. Thank you Hartz. I am so greatful for all your research and development into producing such a quality product that solves so many canine needs.
