My second one
Bought the first as a gift. Liked it so much, bought one for myself! You must put the batteries in for backup though, when the power goes out so do the lights on this, but when the lights come back on it's still set. Only drawback is without batteries you have to reset it with every power outage. I like the large screen and bright lights and detailed forecast. Highly recommend!!

Great time & weather instrument.
I've had this about a month, and I'm really impressed with the graphics and the performance. It agrees ( within 2 degrees) with an older outdoor thermometer, which is good enough for me, especially because I don't have any idea of which is "correct." The indoor temperature agrees with our thermostat, as well. That's really all I was looking for regarding weather conditions, and the humidity is a nice, extra piece of information. Another must-have was the atomic clock. Since we live near Denver, getting the clock signal is no problem at all.

This is hot!
It's just plain awesome. I love the fact that the writing is large and that there are three brightness levels. I also love the fact that I can connect to the atomic clock so that the time is highly accurate all of the time. There's also the added convenience of having both indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity levels, so it's easy to know when the windows can be open to get some fresh air into the home (something that a lot of us American's don't do enough during summers and winters). I find the sun, cloud, rain, etc. images a little pointless but hey, the kids love it! I'm also thrilled that it can run either off of batteries or from a power outlet. I have mine connected to a power outlet, and you can use 3 AAA batteries as backup power. Note that 2 AA batteries are needed for the outdoor temperature/humidity sensor unit.

Didn't get to use in depth, but great system as far as I could tell
I bought this as a gift for an amateur weather enthusiast. He was really excited to start using it, and then received a different weather station that was unable to be returned - so we unfortunately had to return this one. We were really disappointed to return it as it seemed like a great system. If I ever have a need to purchase another weather station in the future, I would definitely buy this again! Like most people, I rely on honest product reviews to make purchase decisions. Because the experience of others has been so helpful to me, I try to provide honest, helpful reviews to assist other shoppers in selecting the right products for them. I hope my review has been helpful to you!

Love the Color Screen!
I've been using this weather station for 3 days now and absolutely love it. At first I powered it with batteries but then quickly realized if I plugged it in, the screen would stay lit all the time for easy viewing. The color screen is really nice and easy to read. Setup was a breeze and the buttons on the back are clearly marked and easy to understand. Currently I have the outdoor sensor about 25' away from the station and the signal is strong and constant. I would buy this again.

Beautiful display.
Gave this to my son the college student for Christmas. He was always asking me in the morning what the weather was gonna be like. I would then glance at my weather station (different manufacturer with similar features), and answer him. Now, he does not have to come out of his cave to ask me about the weather in the morning. He has it wall-mounted which is an included option, and it has a wonderful display. The atomic clock is a definite plus which mine does not have. Wish it did. Be advised however, that it does not display barometric pressure. My son couldn't care less about that but I do. So anyone who likes to monitor the atmospheric pressure, can not do so with this unit. It does provide the in and outdoor temperature, as well as weather prediction. It seems to be quite accurate as well. Not needing to set the clock is a real plus, but, that does not work in all places world wide. The display is definitely nice and colorful. It really looks awesome in fact. I was not sure if my son would appreciate this as a gift item. I think he really enjoys having it now. I am really glad I got it for him.

No problem here with reading display
Perfect replacement for display in kitchen. While reviewing the different models for purchase, I noticed the concerns about readability of the display, frankly we have no issues with reading the digits with a 15’ range, at most angles. After one week of use, Very satisfied with this unit so far. Very easy set up, scrolling through the time and date settings was a bit confusing though.

Nice Looking...and it works!
We bought this one to replace a similar unit made by a different company. The old one still worked great, but it was the old style silver/black LCD screen. The visual difference is night & day. This La Crosse unit is pretty big (10" x 6"), but it looks really nice on the kitchen counter with the colorful display & nice big 1" numbers that can now be seen in the dark, as well. Performance has been great- the time adjusted within 5 minutes & the indoor/outdoor temps and humidity numbers have been right on. If it goes on sale again, I'd probably pick another one up as a Christmas gift.

Nice...except...
It’s a nice item. I bought mine during Amazon Days, so the price was right. Be aware - if you want to be about to read the display at all times, it has to be plugged in. Otherwise, you have to push a button to see the information. I wanted to mount my to the wall, like my old system. This system has to take up desk space because it has to be near a plug.

All around solid experience..
It's a pretty solid device that does as expected. I like the full color display, although it gets a bit dim in certain light. It took about 10 days for the wireless sensor to get the hang of everything, but since then it has accurately forecast external conditions. Pretty slick how it flashes rain/snow/clouds or sun. The internal thermometer also helps those who don't have a digital thermostat (living in an old apartment you never really know what the actual temp is inside, but with this I always know). The battery backup is unspectacular, and it doesn't appear to last very long. I went out of town for a week and left the device unplugged. It was dead when I arrived home, but after plugging it back in it automatically synced up (time/date/weather) as though it was never off. For the right price this thing is great, best weather station I've owned.
