If you need a simple laser level

After reading some reviews, I was hesitant about the quality of this laser level but I bought it anyway because it's so cheap (compared to other levels selling for $200+). I just needed a level to know where to drill holes for a long closet shelf. Included in the box is the laser level, EXTRA batteries for the laser and a separate metal ruler that you can also use to adjust the lens of the laser. The laser: The laser at first was a little off but after adjusting by turning the front lens, It was good. The laser starts to get blurry when the laser is shown more than 6 feet away from the wall, but it's still accurate enough for my needs. The bubble level: It works as expected. Nothing too exciting, but it does cover all three bubble angles. The tape measure: This is a thinner measure and doesn't hold straight on its own very well so don't expect to draw straight lines using it. Just use it to measure things. It's a good bonus to the laser level but it shouldn't be the primary reason to buy this.

Great product and outstanding customer service

A few recent reviews indicated that an updated version of this item includes the hole for attachment of a tripod. I ordered this item, and was very disappointed that this is NOT true. I contacted Qooltek and let them knew about the issue. Even though this was not their fault at all (they obviously have no control over what people say in their reviews), they were very understanding and immediately sent me a replacement. So again, to save others from making my mistake, this item DOES NOT have a tripod mounting hole. Well built, all functions work great!

As a 3D printing business we find a need for all sorts of tools. In looking for a metric tape measure I came across this multipurpose tool and I'm so glad I settled on this! Not only do all the functions work great but it also came with a small standalone metal ruler in addition to the attached rulers and tape measure. The laser is bright and came perfectly level, and the tape lock works well. If you're considering this item and aren't super hard on your tools (this is primarily constructed of strong plastic) then you'll find this multipurpose tool extremely useful.

Well designed and well built.

This unit is nicely thought out and well built. The combination of triple level (horizontal, vertical and 45 degree), ruler, measuring tape, and laser - work well together. Frankly I was expecting a cheaply-made toy, but this arrived already loaded with the batteries - plus a spare set - plus even a small screwdriver to enable changing the batteries. Very complete. The tape measure automatically locks when extended, then retracts on the push of a button. This is the opposite of how most tape measures work, but, as mentioned in the included instructions, makes sense: I don't want to have to fight the tape to keep it open, then lock it to measure. Overall, well thought out, well built, well packaged, and well shipped. An excellent job.

A neat little tool (excellent for the price)

A neat little tool (excellent for the price). Not something I will use a lot, but I was installing some drain pipe and needed an inexpensive way to check slope. True the laser couldn't be seen at distance in bright sun, but I just waited till dusk and then was able to check the slope of my pipe at nearly 40 ft away.

More than just a laser level.

This was definitely a surprise when I received it. I was expecting just a basic laser level with no extras. I am certainly "Happy" with this purchase. Along with the laser level you're given a little screw driver and extra batteries to go with the laser level. Idk if I'll need to buy more. On top of that you're given a little ruler. This thing is pretty accurate as well. We have been able to put up our art wall with relative ease thanks to this!

For the price, unbeatable,

While I doubt this would meet the needs of a professional carpenter or handyman, this tool is a fine addition to the family toolbox. If feels well made, is solid, and has a look of quality that leaves me with the feeling it will last the rest of my years provided I don't bang it around too much. Lastly, for the price, this thing is packed with potential solutions and comes with 3 spare watch cell batteries, and a small metal ruler used to align the laser head. If you do small projects around the home from time to time, don't think about this - just buy it!

Godsend for calligraphers + artists

I primarily use this little gadget for calligraphy and other art projects where I need a straight line but don't want to spend 2093482093 hours drawing lines... I combine this with the Dahle 10683 Vantage Cutting Mat, 24" x 36" and it's perfect for spacing! I also bought an iphone tripod and this fits perfectly into it (I got a tripod that fits a iphone 5s) for when I need the + lines. I assume it would probably work just as well for those looking to project lines on to walls. The tape measurer has also come in handy around the house... used it several times today actually. I am loving this product and for a great price tag too. I was thinking about buying a sliderwriter but made a better version using this, the dahle mat, and an iphone tripod.

Amazon's choice laser level.

For this price, this tool is well made and not flimsy. Comes with extra LR44 batteries as mentioned and also a small Phillip's head screwdriver for the battery compartment screw and a metal 6" rule with metric on one side and inch on the other. Retractable button for the tape measure. Bought this to align guides when making new fishing rods. I used to tape a thread from the center of the reel seat to the center of the tip top and align the guides center to the thread. But using this is quicker. Wish the bottom had a magnetic strip and there was a horizontal left to right level bubble, but it's still worth 5 stars. No wonder it's Amazon's choice laser level.

Wish they made all my tools.

It arrived today and when i opened it i was blown away. Comes with a screw driver bc the battery cover. I go to put in Tyne batteries only to see a little white pull tab... it came w an extra set 😁 and an additional adjustment bar. I managed to use tape to secure the extra bits to my laser level.
