A great buy at half the price of the GoPro Chesty
The J hook on this chest mount is far and away better than the name brand GoPro Chesty. The hook on this mount allows you to have the camera sit fully parallel to your chest, as opposed to canted forward with the name brand mount, giving a more natural angle (in my opinion). And at less than half the price, it's a great buy. Also - the elastic is fairly good quality and it has the all-important chest snap for easy on and off. The base plate that the camera attaches too also seems to be smaller and less uncomfortable than the Chesty

Fits Good For Slender Men
This harness fits me perfectly, and it is cleverly designed. I have no complaints. I'm six feet-one inch and weigh 188 pounds. I purchase upper garments in tall-large. I had to let out all adjustments on the chest harness to maximum length, but so adjusted, it fits fine. I'm tall and slim. If you have a heavier chest than me, the harness might seem too snug for you. I don't think this harness would work for women at all because of the positioning of the pair of front straps.

Great Price, Works Well with Apeman
So I'm planning to start a YouTube channel and needed a chest mount. I didn't want to pay an arm and a leg, but I didn't want to go with the absolute cheapest one on Amazon. The reviews for this were good, minus some people complaining about the fitting. Tried it out today, wore it for two hours. I did have to take off the case holder since it didn't fit my Apeman's case. Thankfully the Apeman camera comes with an adapter that fits perfectly. It screws tight enough to keep the camera from falling down, but not so tight that I can't make quick adjustments if I absolutely need to. As far as the fit, I'm a small guy. I'm 5 ft 8 in and weigh 155. It fit me out of the bag with absolutely no adjustments needed. It appears to go quite a bit bigger if necessary though so unless you're exceptionally large I would think this would fit alright. As far as my slight dock on materials, its only because the plates are plastic. They appear to be pretty tough even as plastic though. I realize Durability will be something I may adjust later as I use it more but it seems solid and the straps have great give and stretch to them. I'd recommend this.

It actually fit my big chest, also fit my much smaller Wife.
I recently bought a GoPro Hero, and was looking for hands free holding so I could record with both hands doing tasks. I looked at all of the options, and one of them was this chest harness. It was so low priced I knew it was going to be cheap junk, and probably would NOT fit my 64" chest. Yes I am a big guy. To my utter surprise this harness is not only well constructed, it easily snaps together with a nice buckle that is simple to use one handed, and it fits with a little room to spare. Totally happy with this purchase. On specifics I gave it a 5 on material quality, only a 3 on durability, because it hasn't had time for that rating, and 5 for versatility, because I can wear it with my huge chest, and my Wife can wear it and she is thin. I believe it could go down to a very small adult, and a bigger child.

Harness your downhill video making
Skiing in Aspen and Snowmass this week and used the harness everyday. Makes skiing video recording very simple with easy access to the camera controls and camera status. The chest mount provided a stable superb point of view by framing the skis and slope together in the shot. I have a head mount which doesn't include the skis in the shot without tilting the camera toward excessively. The harness was so comfortable to ware that I didn't notice it. My camera was safe and in reach at all times. You never have to pull it out of a pocket or put it away while riding the lifts.

I tried it at different levels on my chest before finding the right height to minimize bicycle pedaling movement and get the bes
I ordered this chest mount when I ordered GoPro Hero 4 Silver. I made my very first movie with it on my bicycle. I tried it at different levels on my chest before finding the right height to minimize bicycle pedaling movement and get the best view of the trail. I didn't even have to adjust the buckles, I just positioned it and it stayed where I put it. The elastic is very comfortable and very stretchy yet it stays put. I think this would fit anyone because the elastic is so stretchy and the buckles give even more roominess if needed. For my cycling movie, I wore the whole harness tilted upward so the camera was about 6 inches below my chin. It probably looked uncomfortable but it was perfect and I even forgot I was filming. Very lightweight. GoPro attaches securely.

Worked well on a rented kayak trip
Worked great with a rented kayak. I wasn't sure how I was going to mount a GoPro on a rental. I wanted to take a continuous time lapse video while on a several hour kayak/brewery event. Gives a unique (good or bad depending on what you want) view. You will see you arms and paddle in the video. When walking around between breweries, the harness worked great and was very stable, as long as you don't mind people asking you why you have a GoPro strapped to your chest! The harness mount has a clip that allows you to remove the camera from the chest harness. Once I realized the rental kayak already had a matching base already screwed into it, I removed the camera and attached it directly to the front of the kayak for a different perspective. Overall, a nice product. Comfortable enough to wear (Im a big guy). Works great because it is attached to your chest, which does not rotate as you turn your head.

Tried it out
I purposely bought it so I can record it while I ski. I am not at the level to where I can hold my go Pro while I ski. I took it out and I tried it one time. It is very durable even with my Falls. I will try and find other times to take it out. Very happy with the product

TERRIFIC product!
This harness arrived on time, as promised. I ride a motorcycle, and was worried about this harness being too tight over/on top of my jacket. It was not too tight, which is HUGE for comfort while riding. It is well designed, and was cheaper the the GoPRo one. I also like the fact I got in in yellow to be more visible on the road (every little bit helps). I got some terrific footage wearing this harness in the mountains. I highly recommend this item. Very sturdy, and very adjustable.

Works great!
I shoot a lot of GoPro video when I am mountain biking, but most is with my GoPro mounted my helmet, sometimes mounted on the side of the hemet, sometimes on the top, or under the visor, anyways I thought I would give the chest mount a try. This CamKix Chest mount Harness fits me great, not too tight not too loose, I am 6'1" 175lbs. This was the first time using a chest mount and was my trial use, I did learn that I need to aim the camera a little bit more up, but the footage was very stable compared to the helmet mount. All in all I like it, and will probably still use my various mounts to help keep the videos interesting, 5 stars from me.
