Love this thing! If you place it on your phone and notice a black circle around the image, simply zoom in on your screen, issue solved. Works fabulously for what I need it for.

Quality is very good, Price its good

I really liked this litle microscope, the detail over what you can see in a dollar bill, wrist watch, or an insect like an ant is quite interesting. It is not a laboratory microscope, but it is powerful enough to satisfy my curiosity level, when checking printed circuits PCB boards. It adjust very easily, the clip and springs are strong enough to hold a tight grip while on the phone. I tried over a couple of phones, I felt at ease with the clip, it will not harm the screen or the camera, the pressure of the clip is enough to hold the microscope in place, but it is not an overkill that could harm the phone in anyway. The clips is padded on the side of the lenses and in the leg of the clip, so there no chance for scratches. Price ratio to quality is very good. I will say that it is a good value for my money. Light switch and markings are easy to see, focus adjustment easy to set. Overall I am happy that I bought it, the price is right. I do recommend it.

Couldn't be happier-

This item is awesome. It is a bit of a learning curve to adjust it but after a few times setting it up it becomes much more manageable. Although the zoom function is not a huge reason I picked it up, it works well enough. Actually, you do not need to adjust the telescopic tube if you just move the lens a bit further away. It is all part of the learning curve. Great idea for a product though. I've had a lot of fun utilizing this with my phone's 13 megapixel camera. Clarity is wonderful especially in HDR mode. When adjusting the camera you will want to zoom in a tiny bit to blow the image up to the screen size. But with a few adjustments this tool becomes extremely fun and useful. Whether you are a gardener who would like to look for small parasites or whatnot your plant's leaves, or an amateur hiker who likes to stop and see the smaller world around them, this phone magnifier is a great addition. It may not have an extremely high magnification but it is enough to see a world you never notice with your naked eyes. Speaking of your eyes, this is much easier for people with problems looking through monocular pocket scopes. IMO, it is better than a jeweler's loupe but not quite as magnified as a good pocket microscope. I'd rather be able to take an HD pic and view later than stressing to study things through a microscope. Much easier, and color is more clear too (taking a pic compared to a microscope) My pics include my LCD tv pixels, my eyeball, and match heads in a pack all from this scope. Hope this helps more of you on this wonderful purchase. Great cheap gift.

Great value and good quality.

Clips easily to phone. Even with my lifeproof case on. Clear image. Housing and light switch seems just a tad flimsy, but for the price this is perfect for looking at things closeup.

Awesome for 8 bucks!!!!

This little guy is Awesome for 8 bucks! There is really no learning curve. You just need to set the microscope lens literally directly on top of whatever you are observing and you will get a clear image and if not just slightly adjust it how the directions say to. I bought this for car detailing to get close ups to show how dirt and dust really are small rocks on your car. However, the pictures are a purple microfiber towel and a chamois. I did these to better show myself why wiping my car with a chamois in not ideal if I want to avoid fine scratches in my paint. And as you can see the chamois is just a flat surface that will drag sediments across your paint, where as the microfiber towel will grab the sediments and keep them from scratching the paint while you dry the car. I love this little scope I'm going to go crazy taking close ups of everything lol!!!

Awesome For Homeschool

As a homeschool mom, I have found this gadget very useful. We live in the Pacific Northwest, and here there is such a vibrant natural world to explore scientifically. We often do our "field trips" in the forest. With this microscope we can study lichen, fungus, moss, insects, and plants. We can photograph our observations and share them on Facebook with friends and family. My family loves this product and it's so cheap we can afford for everyone to have their own.
