The case does exactly what it is supposed to do; protect the 4tb portable hard drive.. The only small concern I have is the flap that protects the hard drive and serves as a storage for SD cards, is a little tight once the hard drive is in the case as well as the connecting cable and the strap. I think after a while it will stretch a bit so that SD cards can be put in the flap. Realistically, you won't be able to find another case with equal or better protection for the 4tb hard drive. I purchased the Seagate 4tb hard drive and this case as a combination.

This case offers protection that most cases don't. Most cases seem to only protect against dust and minor spills but I think the number one threat to hard drives are drops. I work as an editor and I can't tell you how many drives arrive damaged. Even from short drops. I've been using this one for a couple months. I accidentally dropped it in the parking lot with a 2.5" Seagate inside and was so scared to check it that I didn't for a week. I just plugged the drive in and everything was fine. + The zipper lanyard (removable) + D clip for extra cautious people + Water resistant material + Waffle pattern foam protection + Elastic tnterior staps to keep that drive secure while opening + Memory Cardholder (2 CF or 3 SD) + Net pouch for cables

Nice Little Case

I bought this case along with a 4TB Seagate Backup Plus external hard drive. AFTER I ordered the case, I came across a number of negative reviews suggesting the case would not fit this particular hard drive without removing the inner padding--and this concerned me as I had ordered the case as Amazon had suggested it while I was ordering the drive. Upon receiving both items, however, I was very pleased with how they worked together. The drive is certainly snug within the case and it fits in a way that doesn't allow inner padding insert to fully extend, but I'm able to fit the drive and it's cable comfortably inside, and the tightness of the fit seems to make everything even more secure. Honestly, I don't use the case that much because I rarely travel with the case. During the handful of times I've used the case, I've dropped the drive once--and everything was A-OK. I'd imagine this case would protect the case against most non-extreme drops--the rubbery outside provides considerable protection. Overall, I think this case is a great value.

Quality large external HD case!!!

Black Case Purchased Dec. 2017 - Fits the larger external HD from Seagate. Holds it snug. Will buy again. Cons: The inside material is exactly what you expect - sticks to dry hands but is perfect for electronics. Pros: Fits tight but not too tight. Doesn't smell bad like similar products. Manufactured w/quality materials. Has extra card pockets I was unaware it would come with. Interior lining does not appear to be the type that sheds if you know what I mean. I'd price this at least at $25. Get one before the price increases.

As advertised. Read the description for all the info; I found it to be as advertised. Some reviews talked about it being a bit too snug, but I have found that using it with my Seagate 2TB for Mac to be just perfect.

Great USB Protection on BOTH SIDES. Fits WD 4TB My Passport (WDBYFT0040BBK)

LOVE IT! There is some talk that the newer WD 4TB My Passports don't fit in it. That's nonsense. Mine fits perfectly, including the USB cable. I'd trust this case with the padding on both sides of my drive over any case I've used to date, including my WD Nomad Rugged case. These soft fabric pods on each side of the drive absolutely protect my drive well. Let's not kid ourselves, any drop is not ideal. But should I have a drop, I will feel far more comfortable with this case then any that have come before it. The fact that it's very affordable is a major plus! Just what I need for my External Hard Drive

I bought this item to protect my Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB Portable External Hard Drive. Fits perfectly and has no smell. Not unless you put your nose on it and take sniff just like anything else you will get a smell... I'm a DJ and got this to protect my investment.

I love this thing and I'm hard to please. Some other reviewers scared me talking about foul odors and poor quality. I clicked on their other reviews and sure enough, they must've stopped taking their meds. Genetically predisposed unhappy people should have their own separate review venue. Excellent quality, sturdy zipper so far, but I don't overstuff it. Nice pleasant odor and it feels good to handle. My Seagate 4 TB external drive fits in it like a glove with room for the cable and sdhc/xc cards. Nice product at a very low price.

The fit is snug, but my 4TB Seagate Backup Plus portable external hard drive fits perfectly into this great case. It is a good quality case, and the shell has a slightly non-slip feel with rounded corners. I appreciate the carabiner clip and clip-on wrist loop. The small foam squares built into the fabric on the drive storage side will absorb extra shock. The cable/memory card side has enough room to store my cable and my usb-c hub as well. I originally purchased this for my 1TB Seagate Backup Plus Slim, and ordered the large size for my 4TB thicker drive, but this will do the trick just fine. I discovered my G-Drive 1TB hard drive was too long for this case, so I will use the large size I ordered for the G-Drive.
