Was looking for a good shatter resistant heater for my small 20 gallon turtle enclosure. I was a little hesitant about whether this little heater would do the job, boy was I impressed! Did exactly what was stated on the package. I placed it in the tank, hid it under some small rocks. In the morning I checked the temp, and it was exactly what it was supposed to be. GREAT VALUE for the price. I was tempted to spend the extra couple of dollars an go up to the 100w model but I didn't want to have to have a bigger heater. In the end I didn't need to!

This is the only preset heater I trust. I have another that I've been using over a year now. To really keep the water warm, you should have a glass covering over the tank so the heat stays in the tank. Very happy with purchase (:

I have 2 of these and they work great on my 10 gallon tanks! No problems with them at all and they are really close to the 78f preset promised. Can't go wrong. My cherry shrimp breed like nuts. In 2 months I went from 15 to 120 or so shrimp. It's nearly impossible to count them so it could be more.

I spent $60 on my last heater and it worked about 2 years before going berserk and trying to heat my water to 90 degrees. Fortunately I noticed it in time to unplug it. I decided that a simple fixed temperature heater was easier, more reliable, and much cheaper. Unless you have picky water creatures, 78 degrees should be fine.

This thing was a life saver (literally) for my fish. I figured out my fish were getting fin infections from being stressed from cold water temp. I have a 5.5 gallon tank and got the 50w heater. My thermometer reads 76-78 now and my fish are now healthy. And what’s nice is there isn’t any adjusting needed- it regulates the temp to that without having to play with a temperature dial

I've been using this in a 10gal tank. It has maintained the temperature it is set at, 78*. I have my tank close to a window and with the cold draft coming in I needed something to help with the water temp. This has done a great job. I just installed it on the top back of my tank where the filter pump is to keep the clutter in one place. I like the sturdy feel of this product. I'm confident it will not kill my fish.

This is a great heater we purchased it for our 55gal. We replaced our old heater that was adjustable but had a hard time getting our tank up to the 78 degrees that we wanted for it. I'm pleased twith it. What it should say in the instructions which it does not is to immerse the heater for 30min in the tank before plugging it in. Then you should see great results. we're very happy with it and the tank is a consistent 78 now.

This works awesome. As soon as the temperature drops a bit, it turn on and keeps my fish from freezing. You should try it, in your aquarium.

We live in the northwest. The seasonal temperatures can range from the 20's to the 100's. I lost a small school of Neons when our heater was nudged or just failed to turn off, and brought the aquarium temperature to 84 degrees. This heater has been installed for about 3 months now, and has kept the temperature steady at it's preset level. It is built very sturdy.

These heaters last about a year. You can’t beat the quality and price. They keep the tank at 78 which is perfect for tropical fish. I have several betta tanks and I use these on all of them. You can tell it’s time to throw it out when the paint comes off it, specifically the bottom.
