This product actually worked as advertised. We used the top rack of the dishwasher. I left the cap in the cap washer to dry. We actually took it out before it was totally dry to wear. We were afraid of shrinkage. It still fits fine. But the best thing is how well it cleaned up. Looks great.

Used it tonight in a washing machine with an agitator. No issues at all, no breaks. I did not put it in the dryer, as that is where I find my hats become misshapen. Satisfied, if anything happens to it, I will not hesitate to buy another. I have more than 25 hats in my modest collection.

Great price, works great! Already washed 3 hats in my dishwasher since getting this product. One thing to note for future sellers, it says not to use lemon dishwasher detergent when washing hats. We had to go to the store and buy some detergent specifically for hat washing, because the bulk Costco detergent we have is lemon.

Wore my fitted cap so much it got sweat stains and started looking gross, bought this put it in dishwasher on the glass rack and the hat came out looking almost brand new. Fantastic, if you have a lot of baseball caps, one of these is a great investment to keep em looking new. I also use the cage to just keep my favorite hat on to keep its shape (but I have an 8 1/2 ERA fitted)

The Ballcap Buddy has revived my hats! I was just about to chuck several of my favorites, but they now have a second life. Completely protects your hat on the top shelf of the dishwasher.

I used to use towels in my hats to wash them in the dishwasher, till I came across this thing. I'm not sure about the longevity of the plastic but so far so good.

My old, nasty hats have new life! My favorite hat was so nasty I thought I was going to get flesh eating bacteria from wearing it! No more! This couldn’t be easier to use. Just follow the directions and BAM! Old favorite flesh eating bacteria hats look like new!

Tried washing ball caps in washing machine before someone told me about these...bought them and they work perfectly in DISH WASHER...I take them out after washer finishes cycle and just leave them in cap washer and place them outside in sun till completely dry...then they fit 98% just like new as just dropping cap into regular wash in washing machine leaves cap distorted...

Works great in my top-load, impeller (not agitator) washing machine. I threw my hat in with my clothes and it came out nice and clean on the first try. The plastic frame is not damaged whatsoever. Some reviewers seem to have had issues using a washing machine, so I will detail exactly what I did for success: 1) Spray stain remover on trouble spots, especially on the sweat stains inside of the hat. 2) Pour laundry detergent all over the hat, using your hands to completely massage the inside and outside of the hat in soap. 3) Load the washer with your clothes, then place the hat on top of the clothes topside up. 4) Add laundry detergent as normal, maybe a little less since the hat is covered in the stuff. 5) Wash clothes as normal. I did not use any sort of "delicate" or "heavy duty" modes. 6) Do NOT put in the dryer with your clothes. Hang it outside to dry or in your house under a fan. Leave it inside the plastic frame until dry. If you want the hat to be even more clean, just throw it in with another load of clothes before drying. After washing with my black clothes in cold water and then my white clothes in hot water, my ancient hat looks very clean. Keep in mind that I have a top-load, impeller (not agitator) washing machine. That means that the hole to put clothes in is on the top, and there is no giant cylinder with blades inside of my machine. If you have a front load and/or agitator washing machine, your results may vary from mine. Also be aware that the plastic frame is two pieces that clip together, one big clip in the back and two small ones in the front. One of the front two clips had come undone when I washed my hat the first time, and I simply popped it back into place. This did not happen the second time I washed it. I did not try using a dish washer to clean my hat and I probably won't bother, since I have had so much success just adding it to my laundry routine.

Works perfect in dish washer. I put my nice salt stained golf hats in the ball cap buddy and put in dish washer and comes out perfect every time. Just have to dry outside or over a vent. Dish washer is best because it doesn't go through all the tumbling in a wash machine so the hat looks brand new every time.
