You know how some days you're just like "man, my Voigtlander 35mm f/1.4 Classic has a really loose front element assembly and if I could only tighten that retaining right inside the rear element, everything would be fine?" This is really handy on those days. On the other days, it's less helpful.

I'll be damned...less than 30 seconds...DONE
Well, I've been a "shutter-bug" for 60 years or so...while on vacay in Hawaii, I screwed up my filters and could not get them apart...NO LUCK... I got a set of those "toy" wrenches....They broke on the FIRST try..sent them back.... spent too much time doing the research...saw this contraption...skeptical for sure....order it...arrived today...no instructions needed. Had the stuck filters off in less than 30 seconds....freaken amazing....want me to tell you how I really feel? This tool goes into my camera bag, TODAY!!!! Thanks guys...Will "the amatuer' Shutter-bug

Used to repair vintage lenses.
I would recomend this over others. I purchased this so that I could disassemble a few old lenses I own and clean some of their internals. I can say that this tool was excelent help when I got around to doing so. I was able to easily take apart the lenses without scratching the bodies. I also would like to note that the tips are well made. Extra Info: I do have one recommendation for the makers though. Adding a notch to the tips screw point so that we can ensure that the flat tips are aligned would be very helpful. This doenst take away form the product and thus I am still giving 5 stars but I would say it would make this product even better.

This works on lenses
I have no experience with other lens spanner to compare with, but this worked fine. You have to take your time since these are fully adjustable, six screws to adjust to properly use the spanner. Oh and it actually include extra screws in case you lose one. I have only used it once to remove the front optics assembly in a Pentax-F 50/1.7 lens. I worked just fine. If you are going to tear down a camera lens at all a spanner is a must so you don't destroy the lens. For lens repair make sure you have JIS screwdrivers also.

If you can't tighten the thumbscrews tight enough, use the set screws
I've taken optics a part before with improvised tools. Saw this and just had to have it. You need to be firm with the thumbscrews but if your fingers are not up to it they included some hex set screws to use with the supplied hex keys. I *almost* want something to break so I can use them. :) I'm a tool junkie and I know it.

Great purchase - Sturdier The Reviewed
This filter wrench set did the job perfectly on an M48 filter costing $300+. The wrench stayed in place even though I only used the thumb screws instead of the allen screws provided. Allen screws will be even better performance. The tips are precision ground and fit nicely. Great purchase for the price.

Wonderful for lens work!
Indispensable for my work as a Cinema Camera Technician. I wish the cross rods were longer, but that is easily remedied. Another helpful modification will be milling a flat spot for the locking screws for the points to prevent rotation of the tips when high torque is applied.

High quality metal used and a good price
The tool quality is pretty good. This stainless feels like surgical quality and is very strong and sturdy. The price was decent and the tips supplied worked well. If I had to complain at all I would say that the screw that tightens tends to come loose at times.

Worked great!!!
Glad I purchased this. Need to clean mildew from inside a telephoto before the 2017 Solar Eclipse.

So far so good
I recently used this to remove a bent lens filter from my camera and found it worked just fine with adjusting width and depth of the 'prongs'. I've only had to use it once but believe it will last a good long time if I ever need it again.
