It's what I expected to be. The paper is comfortable despite the other reviews I read and is exactly the description. I was looking something to write ideas and then save it and my doubts were high at the moment of buying these notepads. The quality of the notepads is excellent. Ok, what I read is if I write with 0.5 or 0.7 mechanical pencils, I could destroy my paper, so I tested and all good. Not a single break/hole. Is the paper thin? Yes is more than other products. The other thing I had my doubts was about the cardboard but it turns out to be exactly (again) the description said and you can tear the sheet off the pad without any negative consequence.

I keep small note pads on my desk at all times. I've been using Tops and was satisfied enough with them. I tried the AmazonBasics ones and prefer them over the Tops for a couple of reasons: there is less bleed-through (using a Sharpie fine point pen), and I like the way the ruled lines are printed and arranged on the pad (they have the same number of lines, but the Amazon ones are printed one line closer to the top vs. the Tops, and the printing is "crisper"). The Amazon pads came in a study box and shrink-wrapped. I'm quite happy with the purchase.

These are literally some of the only things I have keeping me organized right now. I have list after list and these are where I keep them. I used to take notes on anything and everything, and I find that when I used my phone it wasn't sinking in as much.... Hence buying these. I like that they're not yellow so I can doodle on them, and I use them to keep track of important bills and phone calls and other stuff. If you're forgetful and disorganized like I can be, it's really nice to go back to your notes. Plus if you need customer service it's great knowing who you previously dealt with. Cannot state how much I value these.

I'm not sure what everybody is expecting from pads that cost less than 60 cents each. These are not intended to be used as fine stationery; they're great, practical little pads for writing lists, jotting down notes, doodling while customer service puts me on hold, etc. And definitely good quality for the price. My gel pens don't bleed through and the sheets tear off beautifully. Nothing wrong with the cardboard backs, they hold up perfectly!

A common question for any paper product comes from those of us who are committed to an anachronistic means of taking notes: the fountain pen. This paper does the trick. It's it cheap? Yes. Is it the quality of The Nemosine or Tomoe River notebook? If course not. But I use it for taking notes in class using a variety of poems and inks-- flex nibs, extra fine nibs, very wet ink like a Monteverde, sheening ink like Organics Studio Nitrogen (my favorite new ink by the the way), and even shimmer inks. This paper can me it.

I was very skeptical about how they packaged it... (see picture) so I had to make sure I got correct number of note pads. I read some reviews talking about how thin the paper is, and let me tell you that it is thin. I have ordered this size as well as regular letter size amazon basic pads, and they are both thin. If you are looking for a great quality one, then please go ahead and spend $10/pad. However I am looking for affordable pads to write quick memo or for my kids to draw endlessly. So this is perfect. Very similar quality as what you would get from major stationary companies but with amazon service and prime shipping :)! Very happy with the price and quantity I get.

Yellow pads are part of every day at the office. The Amazon pads are clean, crisp and ready for what I need. I am left handed, so being thick and not smearing is important. I press hard and the pen does not cut the paper. I have to let up a little, when using a mechanical pencil, but the Amazon pad yellow pad tares less than other pads. The pages tare off clean at the top, which is very important, because I run meeting notes through the scanner.

Good quality paper. I use fountain pens and the crappy paper available in regular stores clogs my nibs. Staples killed all the independent stationary stores so it's impossible to just walk intoa shop and get affordable pads with smooth sheets. It's also hard to find college rule for some reason. These pads kick ass. I can say there is NO local retail shop with paper of this quality. Staples, Target, Walmart, Office Depot/Max, supermarkets, dollar stores. . . nowhere. My favorite pads are by Clairefontaine. Don't get me wrong, these Amazon pads are not that level of quality. But they are damn good

Based on all the complaints about thin paper and even thinner cardboard backing, I was somewhat reluctant to purchase these notepads. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Either Amazon has improved the quality or other reviewers have way too high expectations. Based on complaints I saw in other reviews, I tested them with 0.5 mechanical pencils and ballpoint pens and never tore a hole in the paper. Using a good quality eraser was not a problem either. I don't use ones that come on pencils, so I am not sure what those would do. Paper is thinner than average, but not too thin. Cardboard backing is perfectly fine, no sagging or bending of any kind. Sheets tear off the pad just fine.

I like using fountain pens when writing down notes. I've used the Pilot Metropolitan and the Platinum Preppy. They glide a lot better than ball point pen and dry out less. The ink does not pass through and bleed which was unexpected. This is a joy to write on and much cheaper to buy than Tops. The ink bled through on those. The paper is soft and easy to rest my hands on but the paper feels sturdy compared to other legal pads I've used in the past. There is a good balance between sturdiness and how thin the paper is. It just works, really well especially for it's price (11.99). I would highly recommend using this to jotting quick notes! Just a quick notes, I haven't had to go back on my notes and add additional writing while the ink was drying, I was very careful. I did flip back and forth a bit and there hasn't been any issues with the paper lifting ink from the next page. There are sum small bleed spots but the paper held surprising well and there was no issues between the pages.
