Amazingly easy to sync up!
We have a Liftmaster garage door opener that has an orange "Learning" button rather than the purple button that is on garage door openers built after about 2002. To add this new remote controller to our existing group of remotes was really a snap. The instructions are really simple to follow. Since Liftmaster is the commercial grade version of a Chamberlain garage door opener, it was an easy decison to buy this remote even though it seems to be a bit more expensive than the others listed. One word of advice is to first look at your garage door opener to see what color your "Learning" button is. That is the button that you have to push to sync up the overhead opener with these remotes. If you have a purple colored button, then you only have to buy a remote that syncs up with the purple button type openers. Since we have an orange colored button, we had to go with the universal remote.

Exactly what I needed
I bought this remote to replace one that was lost. It turns out that the Homelink feature on my new car needed an existing remote to allow programming. My garage door opener is at least 15 years old, and the original remotes have long since died. I had a replacement remote that, too, was gone. So, enter this one. It was very easy to program, and it works well with our Craftsman garage door opener. Just follow the instructions and you will be golden. Once programming was complete, I used it to enable the Homelink capability on my car - that was a bit more painful, but only because the car initially refused to recognize the signal from the remote. I knew that the remote was working because the garage door opened and shut every time I pressed the button, but the car was a bit finicky - attribute that issue to the car. Overall, very satisfied.

Easy to Program
This works great! So easy to program with the included instruction booklet. I was actually only looking for a replacement garage door opener for myself, so both my husband and I could have one. I didn't think I'd find the two-door functionality useful, but in fact, I did! I was easily able to program one side to my own garage door, and then go to my parents' house and program the other side to their door. The remote itself is fairly slim-line, and feels nice in the hand. There's a blue LED that lights up to indicate that you've pushed the button, so you'd know if the battery is dead. I totally recommend this clicker for anyone who needs a replacement or additional remote!

Simple to program and works as intended (craftsman replacement)
Works as intended. I purchased it to replace a craftsman (Sears) garage opener that died on me. The remote already has a battery in. The clip can be slid in. Programming was super easy - open the compartment, pressed the program button, pressed the learn button on the garage opener, clicked 4 times - my garage opener did a clicking sound just like when I try to open or close the door but something is in the way of the sensors. Pressed program again. Then clicked and bam - door opens. Recommended !!

A Chamberlain garage door remote that doesn't rattle (so far)!
We have a Chamberlain garage door opener, which works fine, and had the three button Chamberlain opener remote (Chamberlain G953EV-P2 LiftMaster/Craftsman 953EV-P2 3-Button, Security +2.0 Compatible, Includes Visor Clip Garage Door Opener Remote), which rattled constantly during normal driving on pave roads and was annoying to distraction. (If you check the reviews of that remote, you will see several reviewers complained that it rattles all the time during normal driving.) I bought this one after reading a review saying it doesn't rattle. And so far, it doesn' t. Programming was easy, but as noted by other reviewers, you need to read the instructions. It did take a couple of tries, but it is successfully programmed and working fine. I have not tried to determine its range, but it allows me to open the garage far enough away that the door is opening when I drive up, which all I want or need.

Directions very easy to read
It took me longer to open the package than it took me to program the remote. Directions very easy to read. You slide the cover off the remote and click the program button, then press the learn button on your garage door machine attached to the ceiling (mine was a chamberlain lift master with a red button), you then click the remote two times per the chart (my garage door opener's light clicked with each button press), finally you press the remote program button again. Worked great. Also includes the visor clip. Great product

This works great for our old (circa 1990's) Craftsman garage opener
This works great for our old (circa 1990's) Craftsman garage opener. I was hesitant to purchase (and actually waited for about a year) but once I finally gave it a try I wished I had ordered sooner! Programming was very easy, just followed the instructions, took about 2 minutes. The first time I missed the last step and had to do it again, but that was my mistake. Since ordering I purchased a 2nd, one for me and one for my wife. They have both been in use daily for around 3 months and it has been a huge convenience to have working openers. The range is pretty good, and it has worked reliably. There have been 2 times where the opener simply didn't respond until parked directly outside the garage door - I blame this on our old opener being cranky though, as 99% of the time it works from the end of the driveway which I'd estimate at 50-60 feet.

Solid Universal Remote (used on a Liftmaster and Genie Pro Screw Drive 7600)
Works as advertised.. Although if you have another brands door lifter it may take some extra effort to get this thing programmed. The enclosed directions are simple and may not tell you everything you need for certain brands. With Liftmaster, just get the remote in program mode, then press the learn button on the lifter, clicking the preferred remote button. The light on the lifter will blink telling you your connected. Press the remote program button again to save your setting. Test the newly programmed button a few times. With the Genie Pro 7600, get the remote in program mode then click the learn button on the lifter. Click the preferred remote button and press it several times until the learning light goes solid red on the lifter. Press the program button again on the remote to save your setting. Press your preferred remote button a few more times until the lifter engages.

Great product! I bought this remote for me
Great product! I bought this remote for me. My car does not have factory installed garage buttons. This remote replaces two bulky remotes that were on my visor. The remote is easy to link with both garage doors. When I get home I can choose to open the double or single garage door. This remote is slim and unintrusive on my visor and works both doors!! It's slim style makes it easy to lock in my glove box when out and about with the doors/top off my jeep. Plus when I return it to the visor I still know which door will open when I press the remote, something I wasn't sure of with 2 remotes.

Worked on my super old Genie
So I purchased this in January after another remote (the original) stopped working. I put away until it was warm to fiddle with the garage. At this time I pitched the directions, because I had previously installed a remote and it was easy. Then I lost track of the remote, and then I found it again. (After I forgot how to program them.) I have a Genie Intellicode (2002) garage door opener. Tech support gave me help in setting things up. This is my second remote from Chamberlain to replace the original Genie ones. The metal clip frequently slips off my visor, when the visor is flipped down, this seems like a common issue no matter what brand. The Chamberlain website and staff are helpful, and if you do as directed you should not have any problems with it pairing or working. My machine is old and this worked, so it is pretty reliable. This is my second remote from them and I would not hesitate to buy another.
