Installation is easy if you're careful
Back in 2008 we went to Florida and rented a Mustang convertible. When you opened the door, there was an image of the running mustang projected on the ground. We've owned a 2010 and 2016 Mustang since then and neither one had this option and it's not available from Ford as an accessory. These little projectors were very inexpensive and look good. It will be interesting to see how long they last. To install I used a white China Pencil (wax pencil) and marked where the sensors are on the projector (picture 4) then I marked a spot on the door where I wanted the projector to go. Stuck it on there and transferred the marks on the outside of the projector to the inside rocker panel (picture 5) to know where to stick the magnet. Worked right away no problmes. First picture is the image in my garage from my 2016 Mustang.

Excellent looking!
These things are awesome! I get compliments all the time on them. Batteries last a good while In them, they are very bright, whatever adhesive is on the back of them is insanely strong. They're really good & you don't have to put a hole in your door.

Pony Puddles??
Looks great on my sweet '16 Pony car! Clear, very bright & unmistakable on the dark pavement. The colors in the Tri-bar really pop! It's a bit of a trick to get the magnets just right so they'll shut off when the door's closed. Maybe I missed it in the description somewhere, but they'll automatically shut off after about 30 seconds. I really don't plan on having the doors open that long, so no deal breaker there! And ten bucks for a pair, you CAN'T go wrong if you don't already have puddle lights in the outside mirrors, which my Mustang doesn't.

Satisfied...
I like them, they light up nice, not great, but nice. The darker it is out the clearer they light up. You have to be precise with the sensor magnets and where you are placing them. The range is about 4 to 5 cm. My door plastics go over the floor plastics so I had double up on 3m adhesive on the front doors so the magnet sits up higher and I won’t have sensor range problems...and put it on the side of the floor plastic in the back doors so when it is closed, it goes over the sensor. A piece of black electrical tape over battery cover helps so it doesn’t fall off and you won’t lose it. I like how the light turns off if you leave your door open for long pierods' that’s great. They are on the edge of girth, I had to adjust my front seats the product would smash with my seat when I closed the door. Overall, they are as advertized, easy installation...

2015 mustang install. Hide the magnet!
Very Cool and easy to install. I've seen people complain about the product because the magnet is visible. You can easily lift up the plastic trim and stick the magnet underneath. When aligned properly, the magnet is strong enough to turn the light off through the trim. The projection is very clear and bright. Batteries seem to last about 3 months on the driver side and still going strong on the passenger side. The only negative would be how big the unit itself is. If you place it on the door in a bad spot, you could make it difficult to reach your seat controls when the door is closed. Make sure to stick it in a place that will not be in your way when getting in or out of your vehicle or when the door is closed, and you'll have no problems. I didn't use the adhesive primer, only the tape itself and it hasn't fallen off yet. It made it through the winter with no problems. Even if this one fails, it's cheap enough that I'll buy a replacement. I really like it.

Wicked cool
These things a wicked cool for what they are. Sure, there's better ones out there, but these things are so simple! Just stick em and go! I don't know why a lot of these other reviews are so negative. What the hell did they expect, or think they were getting? Their exactly as described. Mine are really bright, stuck unbelievably good, and they look awesome. I also used high output rechargeable batteries too. So, there's that. And the hardest thing about the install was figuring out where to put them. But I would definitely recommend these for their price, and simplicity.

The unit worked better than I expected
The unit worked better than I expected. My wife and friends love the light on the pavement right where they are going to step. Wish there was a Harley Davidson version available. My wife is buying one of these sets for her sons truck.

Pretty cool if you ignore the beeper sized projector stuck to your door
So, for $10 or so, thought i'd try these. One review said to toss the double stick tape in favor of velcro.. I was going to do that anyway & TRUST me... Velcro is the only way. The fitting of these is pretty easy, but being able to readjust slightly using velcro makes the world easy. I installed them on my '75 F-100 2wd and though it's kinda low, the wide angle still puts out about a 2ft + circle. My Lifted '77 F-250, however, throws like a 6ft circle. Obviously, the light isn't THE brightest... can't see it at all in daylight. The longer the distance, the bigger the circle & the lower the resolution. I had to get creative with my velcro & make a little bump in the velcro on the unit so they tipped out a bit so the entire circle is projected without hitting the bottom of the door below the unit. this DOES make the ford symbol slightly off center & the circle now a slight oval, but it's all good... The pic is BEFORE i tipped the light out some to show the whole circle. The little metal magnet i put UNDER the black foam rubber weatherstripping that seals the bottom of the door. On one door, simply tucking it under, the magnet sticks fine w/out tape... when I put the double stick tape on, it quit working... took the tape off.. works fine.. go figure... the other 3 doors, the double stick tape worked fine. they seem to work with up to 1/2 inch gap.. try this with your hands prior so you know where to place them. HINT: before I used the velcro, I used clear tape to hang it in place to test where to put it & test the magnet placement, etc. After test hanging it, go ahead & stick the velcro... make the side on the door smaller than what is on the unit.. .this makes so you can adjust w/out having extra door side velcro show. Pretty cool so far & good as a courtesy light seeing the curb, ground, etc.
