Works great, went on fairly easy
Works great, went on fairly easy. Had to pop some new holes in bricks for the #6 masonry screws as the holes on this were a little father and because of the way the bricks were laid around the dryer vent pipe I had to cut off the back to make it set flush with the bricks. Other than that went on easy and works like a champ and now my house doesn't look all Ghetto with a busted pipe cover. For 5 bucks easy fix that makes house look better.

exact fit for old dryer vent cover
This was an exact fit for my outside dryer vent cover (1998 construction). This cover is attached externally, via four screws, and the plastic rim fits into the exhaust pipe. The plastic flaps wear out with time, necessitating replacement every 10ish years. Oddly enough, this was *not* a match for a similarly sized bathroom exhaust vent on the same house. That bathroom exhaust has the same sized external frame, but is caulked into place, with different size flaps. I suspect it may be a vent cover with attached pipe stub, designed to tie into a flexible exhaust hose (rather than fitting a rigid pipe like this cover). This cover won't work in that situation. If you're replacing a bathroom exhaust, keep that possibility in mind. My local big-box stopped carrying this part, so it was nice to find it cheaply here. Recommended.

Dryer vent
Just the fact I was able to find this give a it the 5 stars! When we remodeled our laundry area, we go this vent at Home Depot... but they don’t carry them anymore! The elements did a number on the old vent and one day during cleaning the shades broke in pieces! Tried several other vents and none fit. This vent has a small semi circle opening that allows the vent pipe (flex) to fit easier... I love this vent and here is hoping they keep making and selling this product.

Just what I wanted. Saved me from having to ...
Just what I wanted. Saved me from having to paint. drill new holes and everything. I just removed the flaps and put them in the old one! I am getting to the point that I don't even bother going to Home Depot, or Lows at all. I just go on to Amazon and there it is.

Great flow easy to install
Second one of these I've bought. Since plastic they do dry out over time and flaps flget brittle. Bought a second, popped out two flaps and in short order replaced my broken ones. I would guess the first one was 8-10 years old. Cold winters don't help. This has been the best vent I have found.

Great Price, Quality & Fit
PERFECT! This dryer vent cover is CHEAP in price but certainly not quality! The house we bought had an old dryer vent cover that was broken so it was just a big gaping hole and was inviting birds in all the time. Definitely not safe. I went ahead and bought this cover and it replaced the old one effortlessly. No new screw holes necessary; this was a perfect fit! No birds in our vent since!

Exhaust vent
Exactly what I needed to replace the dryer vent. Do you see the pieces of plastic from my previous vent laying in the dirt? Yes, that is the work of 4 year old vandalizing the outside exhaust vent. After finding a replacement on Amazon, I replaced the vent (which fit perfectly) and had no problems since. The great part about the price is that it came with 2 white plastic exhaust vents. Which is fabulous if my son gets any crazy ideas and decides to pick it apart with a stick or a rock, I can replace it again. Would definitely buy this product again.

Fit nicely into our standard dryer vent
Fit nicely into our standard dryer vent. Hopefully it will help keep the mice out. Unfortunately, the picture they provide gives you no idea of what the product actually looks like on the back. So, I took some photos of my own - hope they help someone.

Price was right and it was the exact same one that I had before
Price was right and it was the exact same one that I had before. I have the exact same one hooked up I don’t know about 10 years ago this is for a four-inch pipe and that lasted 10 years of continuous using and I mean continuous using with all the people we have in our house at the time. I just happened to notice that a couple of the flaps had fallen off so I figured well I don’t want to have anything get in there like a squirrel or something God for bid for warmth during the winter so I went and I ordered it. It was four dollars and I got here in one day. You can’t beat stuff like that. It was two dollars more at Lowe’s and I had to drive there. This is why people shop at Amazon

Appears to be good
My original intention with this vent, was to install it for the new vent fan that I purchased. I was able to purchase a Y adapter and tie my new vent into an existing system. Although, this will be used when I decide to add another vent in the future. I have event similar to this currently installed. The current vent is not exposed to UV, therefore currently I do not have the issues that others have described. I may have these issues with this new vent.
