Truly impressed
I don’t know why anyone would give this product a negative review as long as there wasn’t a manufacturing defect. If in fact there is something that don’t seem to be working correctly contact the seller, because these stands are very nice for the price. As far as a portable stand goes you can’t ask for more. The air assist for lowering is really a bonus. Anyone who has lowered speakers and caught their fingers or had them slam down knows what i am talking about. The case isn’t the type you would see with a DJ supplier, but take a look at the price difference. If you want a better case then you’re going to pay for it. Anyone who does anything a couple of times a year these will last forever as long as you don’t abuse them. I do about 15 to 20 gigs a year, and i don’t expect these to fail me any time soon.

Top Notch
I have gone through many of different speaker stands as a mobile DJ over the years. I just got these in the mail today. I can already tell that these should outlast the others. I say this because other speaker stands have only plastic where the three legs join, this one is made of metal There is no need to ratached down hard on the pole to set the stands, I would advise against it so it doesn't leave an impression on your pole. Now for the pole you place your speaker on. This is great! The safety latch automatically engages, No need for sloppy or cumbersome safety pins/bars for this stand. It automatically engages the safety and then you tighten it and you are set. While the Air assist is a nice feature, I am not a little guy so the weight of letting down a speaker is no big deal to me, but it is a nice feature. It works like a dream slowly lowering your speaker down. These Stands are worth the 56.99 frankly and it comes with a free carrying case which is built quite well, it has two sets of straps in the carrying case to secure the top of the stand and the base, with a nylon divider in between the two sections to keep your stands looking Sharp and new like you just bought them for every event. Something I know other speaker stand bags just do not have. I will be buying 10 more sets of these to keep in the warehouse and issue them out to our DJ's for light - medium weight speakers. **** Speaker weight for these is only 80lbs***** not 100lbs btw

Maybe not for 15-inch Speakers, but definitely fine for others. Case is great too.
These stands seem a bit flimsy for my 15-inch Behringers (B215XL 15) and only time will tell if the weight will warp them. I'll update this review if I do encounter any issues but so far it seems sturdy. I would recommend you tread lightly with larger 15-inch speakers but anything smaller should be fine. The carrying bag for these stands seem very nice as well!

DJ Tripod for Amateur Radio
These speaker stands are great for remote station amateur radio use. They withstand a breeze and are compact for movement from place to place. I use them to support emergency and public service events. They have been used for 2m, 70cm antennas as well as mesh network applications. Great to have in your toolbox of radio gear. They are not lightweight but that is a good thing. They are sturdy and work well, heavier (reasonable) was better in this application.

Great For the Money
I bought these to support 2 peavey 15” speakers. I didn’t realize these aren’t necessarily rated for that until after I received them, but they have been on these poles for 2 weeks now and I have seen no issues or concerns. One thing I will tell you: check your bolts and nuts. Make sure everything is tight enough not to have play. It takes 2 minutes to do all of them and that may make all the difference in your experience with these. You can tell a difference between these and the higher end models but.... If you are not a touring band that requires setup/tear down every night and abuse on the road, I think you’ll be fine. Just check everything over as I mentioned.

Great stands!
Good quality for private use, great price. I use these for a small PA system with 10" speakers I bought from Monoprice, and these stands were cheaper (and better) than anything they had. Very pleased with the quality/value ratio of these stands...recommended.

Hydraulic Lift Feature a Godsend
Being an older DJ, and working alone, it makes life much easier having the assistance in raising and lowering my speaker cabinets. The stand is much higher quality than others I've used in the past. The bag it comes with is just okay, and I've had an issue where the pole tries to deploy in the bag and it's a little difficult to retract the pole and remove the stand from the bag.

Worked fine for me
They support Yamaha 12" PA speakers. The speakers themselves aren't that heavy. They are snugly fit into corners of a small room. They make raise the speakers to a good height where i can hear them clearly when i play the drums to the music that comes out of them. They don't wobble that i know of and were easy to set up. I don't plan on taking them down often, so as durability goes, i won't know. But they work great for what i need them to do.

but my PA Speaker weighs only about 20 or so pounds and this should work out fine. It is very easy to adjust and fold ...
This tripod stand came in a large tall Amazon box with the Rockville box inside and some brown paper stuffing. Delivery was quick and arrived to my door step by the UPS man. After opening up this box and pulling out this stand, it felt lightweight but solid as well. It say it can hold up to 100 lbs and it could so, but my PA Speaker weighs only about 20 or so pounds and this should work out fine. It is very easy to adjust and fold up. Just remember to makes sure the knobs are loose when folding back. There is a metal pin that is attached to a cord on the part that extends upwards. Spaced out oles are on the extending part of the pole so you can poke the metal pin through and lower to that setting before tightening. This is to prevent the speaker from falling downwards in case you didn't tighten the knob too well. Pretty simple to understand and build strong and lightweight. Hope this info helps.

Excellent stands for the price
I was leery about how flimsy they would be, but I've got a set of JBLs sitting on top of mine and they are holding beautifully. They have both a tension screw AND a pin to make sure the upright doesn't slip down which really made me happy. They also come with a handy nylon carrying bag which makes moving my equipment from gig to gig much easier. 10/10 will buy again.
