Possibly I misinterpreted the description of this adorable 1st baby book. I understood it to have not only the picture of a farm animal but also the actual sound that the animal made. The only sound that the book I received has is the crinkling of each page when touched. The book is adorable, as are the animals depicted. Yes, the sound each individual animal makes is printed on the page but a newborn to 18 mo. old child cannot read that. Nevertheless I am sure that the book will be appreciated by the parent and it will be up to that parent to imitate each animal sound when playing with their child. I would recommend this book once one realizes it is the adult, that is playing with the child, who will make the sounds.

Keeps baby entertained

Love this book! It keeps our 3.5 month old entertained for a long while - he loves the crunching sound the pages make and although he does not understand what animal sounds are it will be good to grow with. Very easy to wash - we just put it in a mesh bag and then let air dry! Very cute too!

Baby's first book

This crinkle book is very soft, with simple cute illustration for babies, and a short story that's suitable for ages 6mo-12mo It's washable and can be sanitized with wipes. It can be a book or a pseudo stuffed animal toy. I would definitely recommend this book to any mother, especially for children with developmental delays because it's safe, nontoxic, and again soft.

4-month-old loves it!

My 4-month-old nephew loved this cloth book! The crinkling of the pages was a big hit. Everything about it was pleasing to him, and he promptly tried to get any part of it he could into his mouth. I think his attention span for this kind of entertainment is limited right now, but it's easy to see that he'll keep coming back to this toy for a while because it has such delightful features.

Love this book

Love this book! Has great colors and all the crinkle for babies attention!!! Husband and I debate about the stuffed animal being a giraffe or a cow. I’ve been saying giraffe and he says why do they have a safari animal when the rest are farm animals. I see his point but it definitely looks like a giraffe and not a cow to me. Hahaha!

Cute, fun, and washable toy for my baby

Baby loves this now that she is 4 months old she finally learned how to use her arms and hands to make crinkly sounds. I put this in the washer and dryer the other day, both on low, and it came out in perfect condition. It's hard to find toys that are machine washable so that's a plus. I only wish there were more words on the book for me to read to her.

My Grandson had an instant like. Fascinated with crunch, colors and held onto for at least a half hour or more.you can make to cows head move similar to a puppet and talk to him. The only thing is I thought IT made the noises....but its you that will. Lol

Adorable!

My nephew (10 months) loved this so much. He likes books and this is one he can cuddle and chew (and one that doesn't hurt if he swings it around and hits you while holding him which is pretty much what he does). The crinkle pages kept him super occupied!

Vibrant, plush and crinkly --- our baby's favorite book/toy

We bought this for reading time for our four-month old baby and it easily became his favorite toy. We even have a name for it now, "Mr. Jiwaffy". Sure, it is just 6 pages of different animal sounds (piggy, cow, bee, horse, sheep, baby chicken) but we have fun making those animal noises and talking about the pictures. It has all sorts of vibrant colors everywhere which engages our baby right away. Once he grabs it, the crinkling will keep him entertained for a good long while. In fact, he has fallen asleep a couple of times on his own while simply holding on to Mr. Jiwaffy -- which is incredible since we usually need a bottle or some serious soothing for baby to fall asleep. It is also fairly easy to clean, we simply put in a pillowcase or cloth pouch and then throw in the washing machine and dryer. All in all, this is a good purchase and will definitely recommend.

I enjoyed saying "moo" while staring at this delightful cow face. And chewing on the feet. And shaking the crinkly pages in the air. OK, maybe it was my six month old grandchild. I just enjoyed it vicariously.
