Gave new life to all the old Hot Wheels lying around
My kids have always liked Hot Wheels, but I noticed that after a short amount of time, they got tired of them and everything just ended up under the couch or in a dusty corner. Enter this Matchbox Garage, now every car seems to be in high demand. This is a great toy that has seen regular use for the past several weeks from my 2 and 4 year old. In fact, this is one of very few toys that they actually seem to enjoy more when playing together. So overall, I'm very happy with this purchase. Now for some tips that hopefully will help someone else.. First, don't bother with the assembly instructions -- I just used a tutorial video on YouTube and just kept pausing and playing it which really made it easy. Also, I noticed that the elevator did not work very smoothly at all -- it went from the bottom to the top but it made kind of a "click" midway. With a car loaded on the elevator, that "click" point was actually not allowing it to reach the top -- it would just hit that point, the elevator would drop about a half an inch, you'd go up, then drop, and so on, so you'd be stuck there at level 2 as you endless turned the crank. I was about to return it, but then I thought about the time I spent putting it together plus making sure the stickers were perfectly aligned... so I decided to try to fix it instead. And fortunately it's an easy fix. Just unscrew the elevator crank at the top, pull out the rod, and then examine it for any imperfections in the shape of the plastic rod. Right at the midpoint where it was getting stuck, there was kind of a circle that jutted out a bit, which was likely part of the manufacturing process. I took a sharp knife to it and gradually shaved it away till it was smooth. Once I put it back together, the elevator functioned flawlessly, the kids loved it, and Daddy was a hero.

Yeah it takes time to put together but it’s WELL WORTH IT!
I have read the several one star reviews and I don’t understand them. Yes the instructions are not as step by step as they could be but you need to just really look and try to understand what they are showing. The assembly did take me some time but you just need to make sure you give yourself about an hour to do it right. (Most of that time is putting the stickers on). Yeah so it takes a bit of time and care to affix a ton of stickers but in the end it looks awesome. And the quality of the plastic is great. Pliable and not brittle at all so it will take some abuse. Overall the quality, detail and sturdiness of this is beyond my expectations. My daughter has been playing the heck out of this for 3 days and not one items had broken or fell off. Don’t put a 1 star review just because it’s too hard to put together. Manage your expectations!! Yeah it’s not a play right out of the box,... you just need to underand that. I actually enjoyed building this. Looking forward to this lasting a long time and bringing joy to my little one. And the thought put int the design is pretty great! Tons of things to “do”.

What a Great Little Parking Garage!
Buy this now. This is such a great little set. It works with all of my 3 year old's Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars/trucks/etc. It is EXTREMELY detailed, with 3 levels, each with their own little unit. There's a car wash, a repair station, and a gas station. There are parking spaces and you can close off/open up different ramps so the cars can go onto different levels. The elevator works VERY well and my son loves to bring the cars up to the top and then send them spinning down the twisty ramp. Now, let me touch on assembly.........it's going to take a while. There are probably 100+ TINY stickers to apply, and the instructions aren't great at telling you what goes where. It's easy to figure out on your own, but it took me over an hour just to apply the stickers. Everything else snaps together easily, though. TOP PIECE OF ADVISE: Assemble the structure first, THEN apply the stickers. It's impossible to put them on before hand as suggested because you're not sure what you're actually looking at until it's assembled. It's sturdy and is played with EVERY SINGLE DAY by my son. Very pleased with this toy!

Construct before you give as a gift!
Bought this for my 4.5 year old for Christmas and he loves it. I really feel it is a quality product and his little imagination is going wild playing with it. My BIGGEST recommendation would be to build it ahead of time and wrap it up in a box already constructed. It takes a solid hour to construct and put the stickers on. A little detail at points but I figured it all out. My son was very excited and waiting all the time was a good test of patience (ha ha).

Bought it for my 3.5 year old nephew for Christmas but it also became the favorite of his ~2 year old younger brother and 7 year old older brother as well. Fortunately, it's large enough that they can all play on it without fighting over it. I'd recommend that you assemble it *before* giving it to the child, assembly takes a while, is boring for the kid to watch and delays them being able to start using it right away. It's better for them to just open a larger box, pull it out and start playing immediately (for younger kids). Obviously, if your kids are older and enjoy the assembly part, ignore my suggestion.

Overall great play set!
Got this for my 5yr son for Christmas to go with his extensive collection of matchbox and hot wheel cars. I put it together in about 20-30 minutes. Like other reviews the instructions weren't the greatest, so keep the box as a reference! I haven't put on the stickers yet, but seem easy enough and will add to the appeal. This set is very detailed and has an elevator, gas pump, car wash, and paint/tool section that includes a lift. It also has barriers to switch which track your car will take. Everything runs on kid power and imagination, so no batteries to replace or annoying sounds. Can also connect additional sets as you collect them. I do wish it had a flat base to add another level and be nicer on carpet. Very sturdy and my son has already carried it around with it staying together. My son was happy to play alone but also loved playing with mom and dad. Great toy for the price! Does only come with 1 tow truck, but these cars multiply fast! Both matchbox and hot wheels work fine. Some Cars vehicles work too. Only really cheap/flimsy part is thin clear plastic as part of the car wash area.

Good 50 pack
I was looking for certain cars I couldn't find locally and lucked out with the 50 pack. Sealed set from Mattel in individual short card blisters. Some blisters weren't straight but suspect it's from shipping or storage but otherwise most are in good condition. Half the set are keepers and other half will go to the kids.

Best toy car garage
I bought this for my son’s 2nd birthday. He looooves cars and trucks, and every time we go to my in-laws’ he spends hours (well, an hour maybe, still pretty good attention span for a toddler) playing with cars on their “vintage” 80’s car garage. So I finally got him his own. After looking at several options I finally decided on this one mainly based on reviews. This was a great buy. Yes it took forever to set up and I had my husband’s help. There are so many teeny stickers and some of them are hard to figure out where they go (as were some of the pieces). Definitely attach the stickers before you assemble all the pieces, at least for the majority of them. Have patience! It took us at least an hour to assemble the entire thing. Anyway it was worth the work. Both my son and 5 year old daughter couldn’t wait to play with it and it kept them occupied while we packed for our camping trip the next day. Our son woke up and went straight to his car garage and sat there for a good hour or two playing. It’s fairly sturdy but my kids have been able to take some pieces apart (not broken, just disassembled) and my son has torn the sponges off the car wash unfortunately. Again not too bad for a toy for a 2 year old boy. The novelty has worn off some now that it’s been a few weeks but it still holds the kids’ interest for a while a few times a week. If you’re looking for a toy car garage look no further!

The matchbox 4 level garage is sturdy, well made and I think it's going to last a long time. My son just got it for Christmas and so far it has held up with two boys rambunctiously playing with it. It doesn't fall apart when they cart it from room to room, I will say the instructions to put it together are lacking, but its not too bad to figure out, the stickers are a big pain in the butt to put on..like any of these type of toys. All in all very good toy.

Vague Directions, GREAT TOY!
My 3 and 5 year old boys love this little garage. It takes some setup, so dont open it in front of them like I did, and make them wait while you put it together. Also, they will want to help install the stickers. We didn't mind, but if you really want the stickers straight... do it ahead of time. The directions are a little vague, mostly because they dont seem to reflect the version of the garage that is actually in the box. Same with the box photos (which I consulted as much as the directions for instruction). Here was my most frustrating part where the instructions lacked: The blue air tank and air tools on the second floor dont go at the TOP of the shelf like the instructions and photos illustrate, the tank goes on the FLOOR and the air tools go into the shelf. The photo shows it freestanding in the middle of the floor, which doesn't balance and will get lost in 2 seconds. I included a photo for reference. The carwash parts are pretty robust and the kids LOVED driving through. The fact that it has both a ramp and an elevador means two kids can actually share this new toy without really trying. Its plenty big for 2. Great buy! I picked it up used for $20 (perfect condition), I dont know that I would pay $40 new.
