I bought this for work and we have enjoyed using it. It's very nice to have the light because I can walk into the room and see instantly whether my water is done or not. I probably would try to avoid getting water all over the outside (I'm assuming there are some kind of electrical elements in there anyway) so when I fill it I just hold it up to the faucet, but I've had 3 electric kettles and that's kind of how I've always done it to prevent any wiring that might be inside from getting wet. It's very pretty design too. It holds A LOT of water, in fact I think I like it better than the one I have at home, which is smaller. Heats very quickly. I use deionized water in mine because I have easy access to it. If you didn't I think you'd want to de-scale it relatively frequently but that's just something that's going to happen if you are boiling hard water and no real way to get around it.

I've had this for 6 months and I use it every day, several times a day. There's no calcification or rust inside the pot, although there is rust on the heating element (probably from it getting wet when I fill the pitcher). As other reviewers have mentioned it does have a narrow opening so you have to be careful when filling it. I can hear it as it begins to boil, which allows me to stop the boiling process if I want to use it for something that doesn't require water to be so hot. The only design issue for me is the open and power buttons feel reversed as I'm always pressing the power button to open the lid. I love the blue light, which lets me know it's still boiling, and that I can place the pot on the counter without worrying about anything getting burned.

Small space hack! I live in a teeny tiny apt. Having an electric kettle allows me to keep my stovetop/countertop converter on top of the stove and use my pour over coffee pot in the same location. Also the kettle that I used to leave in the stove always got dirty from my other cooking - this baby you can keep away from the splatters. It boils fast! There is no question about on/off because it lights up blue when in (which looks pretty cool). My only complaint is the base isn't super heavy. But that's not a big deal if your outlet is close to the base. I solved the problem by putting additional plastic bumper feet over the 3 plastic feet for more traction so it doesn't slide on my glass cutting board. The orange is fun & cheery. I have no complaints!

I loved my first kettle so much that when it finally died I didn’t hesitate to buy the same one. We run ours several times throughout the day and evening and I got almost 2 good years out of my fist one - and that’s a lot of abuse banging it on the plate in my household! I know several people with different brands, some paid much more than I did, and mine is best! And their extra money didn’t make theirs last longer. I love the perfect size, and how fast it is at warming up, I love the all-glass pot, and the contemporary design, and cool lights and variety of colors, etc. I honestly can’t say enough about this little gem because it’s not only perfect but it’s perfectly priced!!!

I really don’t know why I didn’t think to purchase an electric kettle earlier in my life, honestly this thing is fantastic. It boils 1.5 liters faster than a kettle on the stove, has an automatic shut off, and safe touch base. It’s really great for college dorms or tiny kitchens (no hot plate, you can see the kettle’s contents, and there is very little risk of getting burned aside from touching the glass itself). There’s a tiny plastic filter included on the lid near the spout, so if you wanted to use this kettle as a French press you probably could. I’ve used it to boil water for hot and iced tea, ramen, frozen veggies, soups, coffee, hot cocoa, and a bunch of other food products. It’s super handy and very reasonably priced. It comes in several colors; I bought the burgundy (it’s more like a deep red than anything). Also, there are blue LEDs that turn on when the kettle is boiling water and turn off when it’s done. The kettle also makes a click noise once it turns off. I’m very happy with this kettle and would purchase again/recommend to others.

Treehouse Tiny House guests loved it! This amazing unit is always a pleasure to play with in the kitchen. It's like being a kid with a science experiment in the lab watching the blue lights come on and bubbles boiling. I love it. This is the second unit I have purchased. The first was a gift and I was so jealous I finally ordered another one. We are on well water in the country with lots of minerals in our water. I realized that the inside needed to be cleaned often so I brought it to the house and switched out my solid one for the Treehouse guests. It is really easy to clean with white vinegar boiled a few times and the calcium came right off. Great unit and likely cleaner if you are not on well water. I would buy it again because it's so much fun! I love the orange flair in the kitchen.

I love this electric kettle, it's very durable. I've had for awhile now, over 3 months and so Its definitely been tested. The glass nor mesh screen, nor plastic has marred, scratched or become damaged through normal wear and tear and Its been through a lot. The only thing I have an issue with is how to clean the outer glass that sits atop the plastic part of the kettle at the bottom. I dont remember exactly how, I think something spilled it and became embedded in that area. Now when I look closely at it, towards the part when the plastic and glass meet, it looks very dirty and since Iam unable clean it, it just sits on the counter looking terrible when Its close up

I've been drinking so much tea recently that I was weary of return trips to my stove, and in danger of burning the house down a few times from forgotten boils. I ordered the maroon to match my house, and it's as pictured. I work from my home office, so now I can reach over easily and refill my tea throughout the day. I washed it before use as directed, and even drinking valuable pu'erh tea, I don't taste any chemical or off-flavors like a few customers reported. The blue lights are awesome. I read through the reviews about possible future problems, and they're about even with what you'll get from a heavily-used $25 brew appliance - water stains, etc. The most you can do is 1) Register your product like it advises to get that one year warranty 2) Keep the bottom dry and wiped before setting it on the heating element; 3) Expect water stains eventually depending on your local water and 4) Know how to clean water stains/deposits, and don't rate it badly if you can't figure it out. A product like this that doesn't water stain over time will probably have something extra coated on it that you don't want in your drink anyway. It's a $25 boil pot, folks. For that price, this is absolutely excellent.

Exceeded expectations! Only had it for a week now so, who knows, could break down in a day or two..........but as it is - definitely a great product! Only draw back is that the chord is too short to meet my wall plug - so have to basically put it much lower than I would want otherwise. Still, one of the cool things is that you can attach top water part to the plugged in lower heating part, boil your water and then remove top part and set it on any counter because, while the water is hot, the canister's outside is not. The heating base also remains room temp. Well thought out!. When you first turn it on all of these little blue lights light up at bottom of the glass--- and stay lit up all the time it is plugged in. Aesthetically nice. Best of all, no aluminum or other toxic metals marinating in with you hot water!
