First no drip animal water bottle I've ever gotten that actually works. However the plastic twist on piece broke before I had it for a day. UPDATE: the company had shipped me a new water bottle. I am very excited because this is the first no drip water bottle I've ever found. I will be careful not to tighten it to much. They appreciated me original feedback and emailed me. Very nice helpful people. Got my water bottle with spare parts from the company with a hand written note from Betty!!!!!!! What an awesome great company.

I've had my two guinea pigs for about 2 years now and the most frustrating thing has been with their water bottles constantly leaking. Their cage was always all wet and it made the cage disgusting. I finally decided to research water bottles to see if any existed that didn't leak and these had the best reviews so I thought I'd try them. I'm so glad that I spent the extra money for these because THEY DON'T LEAK!!! My guinea pigs love them and their cage is no longer wet all the time! They are small, but I'm still filling them up less than the other ones that were bigger because they don't leak like the others. Also, the other water bottles I had were really annoying trying to get them off the cage to refill them and with these, it's really easy to remove and put back on. I would give more than 5 stars if I could.

Great design, despite small bottle

I purchased this after several months of mishaps with a standard water bottle, to feed two very active guinea pigs. They literally cannot knock this down...due to the sturdy attachment design. The bottle gets screwed into place with a large, easy to turn, plastic screw. My 12 year old daughter also prefers this design. This bottle doesn't drip, so the cage stays fresher, longer. There is one only issue, which is kinda of minor, so I teetered back and forth whether to withhold a whole star. The bottle itself is so small, it has to be filled more than once a day. There is a solution to this, though... Which secures the fifth star, the mechanism for any standard size bottle. I use a clean 20oz Coke bottle, with the red ring that secures the cap, removed. It's still no-drip and we only have to fill it once every day. I've also read some people use glass wine bottles that have screw-on tops, like Trader Joe's 2-buck Chuck bottle. Either way, small bottle or not, I highly recommend this product for watering your small, caged pets.

Victory at last!!!!

Oh my God. The first Guinea pig bottle that doesn't leak...but for real, it doesn't. My Guinea pigs are water bottle terrorists. They destroy all water bottles, create a savage pond of wet blankets and hay. Alas! I have defeated them with these technologically perfectly designed bottles for Le Guinea a la Pigs! I win. Thank you Choco Nose, you are my hero.

Show your pet how to use it, do not assume they know how to use it.

I am glad I bought this for my green cheek conure, Bebe. When I placed the bottle in the cage, I showed him how to drink out of it by simulating in front of him. He observed me and he licked the end of the spout right away. He got praised. We repeated a few more times and he got it. Conure is very intelligent just as 3-4 years old child. He now has learned to get extra water if bowl water gets dirty. For me, I feel better leaving this bottle and two other water bowls when I travel a couple days a month. PS: Years ago I had to travel over a week so bought this type of bottle to replace the water bowl. I never had a chance to let my canary trained so he could be able to drink out of this type of bottle. I believed my canary would figure out on his own. What a dumb of me and a stupid human I was! I found him dehydrated and died at the bottom of the cage when I came home from the trip! That was the one of the worst things happen in my life. I wish this does not happen to none of our pets.

Works Great~Clean the Metal Tip if it Leaks!

UPDATE: I'm really bummed to have to update my review. This water bottle worked great for 6 months, zero leakage. Now it's practically pouring out the nozzle. We have to refill the bottle THREE TIMES A DAY it leaks so bad and it's soaking our guinea pig's cage. It has been indoors, used to water two guinea pigs. The guinea pigs have chewed on the blue plastic part, but the metal part is fine. I was looking at it and realized that the metal tip screws off. So I pulled it off and there was a blob of mold in there! I just cleaned it all out and I hope this will fix the problem. I HIGHLY recommend this product! Don't waste another day dealing with wet, messy cages! We have two guinea pigs in an indoor cage in my son's room. He had to change it almost daily because the old water bottle leaked like crazy. It would soak the cage and the poop would get all wet, and it was disgusting. We even put puppy pads down under the shavings and their cage was still soaked. This nozzle has totally changed our lives! The bottle is itself is REALLY small ( 3 stars for the tiny bottle), but the no drip more than makes up for it... and the no-drip nozzle threaded right onto our old, much bigger rabbit sized bottle and it has NOT LEAKED A DROP! I love it! Their water lasts forever now. Before we had to fill it daily. I like the way the nozzle snaps into the white holder attached to the cage, but because our old water bottle was so much bigger, we continued to use the wire holder and it all works perfectly together. Thank you for creating an excellent product!

Works great, wine bottle fits in it.

This doesn't leak at all, bunnies love it. I replaced the bottle with a wine bottle from Trader Joe's, the kind with a screw on lid. Fits perfectly.

Don’t leak but...

I like these enough that they are worth dealing with the faults. These valves DO NOT leak. If you keep little critters, you know how important that is. The faults... 1 - The bottle that comes with it holds about a half cup of water. No biggie, works with most Pepsi bottles. Can be tricky to get a good seal between the bottle and the value (tighten!). 2 - The chrome tip breaks off WAY too easily. It is easy to forget. I’ve broken a couple...at which point it is time to buy a new one. If you stay aware of this hazard, it is easy to avoid breaking it off. It is also easy to forget. I keep a spare valve on hand just in case (yup, I just said “buy two). BUT...these really do not leak. This is the water bottle I have ever found that I can say that about. Worth the price and hassle just to avoid the wet bedding problem.

No drip as advertised

I wish I got this years ago. In the month that I have owned it, it has not leaked at all. I was going to go for a smaller size but I don't think the nozzle would have been deep enough for my (short-legged) hedgehog to reach it inside the cage. This size works great and the the bottle has a really convenient design.

Best bottle out there for your smaller friends

This is the very best water bottle you could possibly get! The service/company are awesome I could go into so many details just take my word I’m too tired to say anymore but this is definitely the best water bottle it works for my two very large guinea pigs – I change it every two days just because I like to have fresh water in there but it’s plenty big this is the very best water bottle you could possibly get!
