6 LUG 15"SPARE , MOUNTS NO PROBLEM.

I needed a spare tire and mount for my Four Winns boat trailer. After reading other reviews I was doubtful a 6 lug spare with 15" tire would fit properly on this mount. Well it mounts up no problem! I would guess that others having difficulties were trying to use the lug holes directly diagonal from each other. That is not how it holds 6 lug spares, see photo. No issues with u bolts breaking. I believe its from over zealous tightens of hardware. Very sturdy mount, great value.

Initial impression is very good

EDIT: About three years with this now and it's still working great. No issues with it all and durability has been fantastic. Seems to be pretty strong, went on very easy. It's two U-bolts to the trailer frame held on by four nuts. It fit very nicely on the front of my V-nose trailer. The compact design made it easy to get the tire in the right position. So far I've glad I ended up going with this one over other. Only time will tell of the long term strength and durability.

Huge Improvement Over Previous Angle Mount

This is an excellent carrier and provides so much more clearance than my previous mount. I wish I had known about this mount before I spent years dealing with my previous 45 degree mount and scraping my tire on my RV driveway slope. This mount is solid and gives me at least 3 to 4 inches of clearance now. No more spare tire wear and driveway marks. Also excellent customer support.

Very rigid

Mounted it horizontally so that it would not reduce turning radius. It does not interfere with the tongue jack operation. Very simple installation and is strong. Fit perfectly on my 5x8 cargo trailer.

High Quality very strong

Super nice quality. Very heavy duty that will last longer than boat trailer. Worth a little extra. You can always tell when you have bought a true quality item.

Very Stable Mount

Have purchased two of these and mounted the first one on my boat trailer. Fit perfect. The second one I put on my camper bumper which has a 4 inch square bumper and was a little more difficult to figure out how to mount it. Had to turn the u shaped bolt around backwards and secure it to the bumper but it worked and now my spare tire is very secure to the camper. Have not pulled the camper yet but the spare tire is a lot more stable and I fully expect it to stay that way.

I've got 16' tires on my boat trailer. This is the first spare carrier that has not failed, although we do put them to the test, including the Alaska Highway f/ SC.
