Amazing. We recently moved into our new phone which already had a flag/pole set it. But man the pole has seen better days. Once I received my delivery I put the old flag on this sturdy pole proudly. Sadly 2 days later someone stole our pole/American flag. A few days later I received an email from Grace Alley; asking if we received our package in a timely matter. I assumed it was just a mass email that gets set out to everyone. So I replied with my story thinking no one cares to read, and less then one hour Grace Alley emailed me back. Long story short I am now able to display my new American flag and pole set up. Amazing customer service, great company. The set up was simple and took no time at all to set up. Thank you so much.

This flag pole highly exceeds my expectations. It does not clip together in the middle, it is a threaded connection. The top half of the pole has an inner and outer shaft, so the whole shaft rotates, keeping the flag from tangling. The top clip rotates with the shaft and also independently. I imagine this will allow the flag even more freedom without worries of tangling. The bottom clip screws down tight to the rotating outer portion of the pole. It can also be moved up and down the shaft as needed for different sized flags. A truly magnificent design. I ordered a 3x5 flag to go with it. It could hold a flag a little bigger, maybe by 2 inches or so max. I was looking at the flag poles in a couple of big box stores. I just couldn't bring myself to buy them, they just looked to cheaply made. I also went around the neighbor hood and ruled out using any kind of wooden pole. In the south, the heat and humidity causes all of them to warp. Granted the big box store brands were actually cheaper in price by a few bucks. Overall I am super excited and happy with my decision to buy this flag pole! Updated:10/27/15 I feel really bad, as it turns out the Flag Pole is not made in america. It is made in china. I previously had it in my review that they are indeed american made. I try to buy american made products as often as possible. It is actually what helped me chose this product. The way these poles are advertised in the packages makes them appear that they are american made along with the flags, without actually saying it. There was also a question in the Q&A section asking if it was american made. The only answer then was a yes. Now, more people have chimed in and it is clearly not an american made product. I do not know why Grace Alley has decided to plaster American made all over their advertising of flags but sell a China made pole. Granted, the pole is outstanding. We have had some pretty rough weather in the south this year and so far the pole doesn't show any signs of wear or damage. My american made flag in fact has already started to fray slightly but the pole is as solid as ever. So overall, still a 5 star product and sorry for the misleading information. *Note: I do have a picture attached and no the flag is not touching the bushes, just looks that way.

The first time I saw it wrapped — and it was only just wrapped once around — it was pouring the rain. Flags get wet and bunch up on themselves. It's impossible for any angled pole to prevent this. And the very end of the flag that had bunched together had flipped over the pole. The part hanging by the grommets was virtually hanging vertical still. I have never had so little problems with furling as I have with this pole. Honestly, ladies and gents, you can't go wrong with this pole. And I suggest the white pole. Just a gorgeous white for Ol' Glory. So bright white, in fact, that I need to replace my flag because its age has taken its own brightness out of it.

I ended up reading pretty much every review on all spinning flag pole items available on Amazon. Let me just save you the time, indecisiveness, and confusion that I wasted and say...just get this pole. :-b It seemed like each item had its flaws, and it was driving me batty trying to decide on "the perfect one". I came to the conclusion that they're all mostly the same, just different brands/manufacturers. If you're looking for a spinning flag pole that functions as it claims, looks nice, doesn't rust, and is as sturdy as you can get in a metal wall flag pole, this is the right choice. There's only so much you can protect an outside flag pole from. There isn't one that's going to be 100% indestructible by the climate, so don't end up like me and frustrate yourself trying to find one that is. ;) My last pole (and bracket) was one of those "flag kits" you can get at the popular, local hardware store... and it lasted maybe 24 hours on a windy day. So, I have that to compare to, and this flag pole is faaaaar sturdier, thicker, and nicer. And sure, it may cost more than some "full kits", but most quality items do cost more, right? :) The pole was packaged very nicely and neatly, and arrived as scheduled. It's very simple to put together. There are clips for your flag - and I was worried it would make noise and bother my neighbors and I'd have to replace them with something softer, but it's really not audible to me at all. Haven't had a storm in the area since this flag pole was put up, so I'll update this review after one of our "fun" storms. :) If you're looking for a high quality and tough bracket for this pole (it doesn't come with a bracket), this is what I got - and am very pleased with it so far. Mine was installed on a brick/stone exterior, and yes it takes time and effort to drill the holes for it when you're doing it on brick, but it seems like this bracket should stay put through a lot of nasty weather. I might be able to swing off of it, it's so sturdy. ;) We got special screws for it though (TapCon), and didn't use what it came with, since we had to drill through brick. The TapCon screws allow you to not have to use plastic anchors when you're needing something solid for brick/stone/concrete. https://www.amazon.com/Weather-Resistant-Displays-Aluminum-Flags/dp/B00KMUYWLQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=lawn-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1500482311&sr=1-4&keywords=Heavy+Duty+Flag+Holder Edited to add: We had a storm last night with wind gusts between 40-60mph - and the flag pole stood up to it all like a champ!

This flag pool has been attached to my house and flying my 3x5 flag since early December, 2016. The free spinning feature generally prevents any wrapping of the flag around the pole. It hangs as it should, and absolutely does not tangle with the pole. The pole is an anodized aluminum, fitting into a painted cast (aluminum or zinc?) base, which attaches to a wall -- in my case a brick wall. The upper section of the pole rides on a plastic (nylon, UHMW, delrin?), which permits the upper section to rotate easily. The flag attaches by slightly-plated steel clips, which are beginning to rust. Operation is perfect. The rusting clips are a disappointment. It would not be costly to replace these with SS, since nothing else in the product is susceptible to rusting. Now I will have to look for new clips, since I don't want rust on my flag. Thus 1 star removed. 2-1/2 years later (4/2019). The flagpole is still operating perfectly, on its second Grace Alley flag. Yes, the clips are rusting, but no discoloring on the flag. After this long continuous service, I restored the 5th star. Still, eventually new clips will be needed.

Won't bother to repeat the good others have said. Only that I have been flying the flag daily since 1991? when my son, a marine, and another son's best friend went to war in Iraq. Living only 100 yards from the oceanfront, you will appreciate we see a lot of wind and through the years I have gone through any number of flagpole designs and this appears to me to be the very best. I say "appears" as It's only been up for a few days and already stood up to a 64 mph wind gust.

This is a quality flag pole, where the flag portion of the pole turns freely due to ball-bearing swivels at the top and bottom of where the flag fastens. It already comes with a small gold ball at the top, which is screwed around the outside of the top of the pole. They also have a no-hassle return or replace if you mess it up - which I did. It wasn't quite perfect for my needs, which I will explain below, and I originally gave it 4 stars for that reason, but because it is high quality, and the free replacement warranty - the deserve 5 stars. If you already have a ball and a top mounted solar light, which I did, this one is not designed for that. They are working on adding to their product line, but don't have a light available for it yet. I tried to replace their ball with my bigger and nicer one, as well as a superb bright solar light which I just bought last week and it worked beautifully, except the extra top weight caused my pole to sag, which is why I bought this one, which is much better quality. In making what I already had, work, I made my inside screwing ball, fit inside their larger pole, which didn't have threads on the inside. I had to remove the top swivel to make the adjustments, not realizing it would separate and spill the ball bearings inside. They are small but I found them all and put them back in the top - except I must have lost some from the bottom too, and had 4 more than would fit. I only put one of them in, and reinstalled and mounted everything, but it didn't turn as smoothly as it did, because I didn't get the ball bearings back in right. It works, just not perfectly. I told them and they responded immediately and are sending me a new pole - even though it was my fault - without a hassle. I was tempted to give them 5 stars just for their great and immediate customer service, but since it's not designed to accommodate a light, it's not perfect for me. The ball and solar light look great and I highly recommend getting them and an all weather flag. I had been putting out my flag only on holidays, because you aren't supposed to leave them out at night, unless they are lighted, nor leave them out in the rain, unless it's an all-weather flag. I upgraded my flag so now I can be both patriotic and lazy every day of the year! At age 76 - I like that! I may add a photo after I get the new pole, if things work the way I expect.

This flag pole is worth every penny. I bought it about 10 weeks ago and it still looks brand new. Almost immediately after replacing my old flag/flag pole with this new flag pole, Southern California went through some insane weather like raining every Friday/Saturday/Sunday for the past 6 weeks. And don't even get me started on the Santa Ana winds. This photo was taken this morning. I do recommend purchasing the "Shop72- Embroidered Stars Sewn Stripes US Flag 3 x 5 Ft - 210D Oxford Nylon" so you can experience TANGLE FREE FLAG LIFE with a beautiful new flag to boot! I swear I have never had to untangle the flag since putting it up. And I have solar panels that my old flag used to get caught on and ripped that flag to shreds. It was Pirate ship status. I love my flag and flag pole...MERICA. Highly recommend.

I love this flagpole! I live on the coast, where it is often windy and the salt in the air corrodes any metal that isn't aluminum. I'm using this flagpole with several sleeve-type seasonal house flags that I switch out with the seasons. My old wooden flagpole was very difficult to use as it had swollen when it got wet and was difficult to remove from the mounting bracket. This one is a snap to remove and the clip is very easy to use as well. Best of all, I never have to go out and unwind the flags from the pole when it gets windy!! The outer spinning part works like a charm and it doesn't tangle at all!
