I bought it as a first venture into bass (I play guitar already) it felt very natural, and has a great sound. Totally worth the price

My son is 13. He bought this bass with his own money after he took up playing the bass a year ago. We shopped around and I helped him pick this one out based on my 25 years of Bass and Guitar experience. The sound quality is fantastic out of the box. The hardware, strings, and pickups are very good quality. I personally love the 50's Retro look to it. He's been playing it now for 3 months and is more and more happy with it every day. I would say this could be a once in a life time buy if you treat it well and don't plan multi world tours with it. Great of a new or medium level player and beyond.

I read a few negative things about the setup of this bass, and either they were unlucky or the seller stepped up their game. This thing came out of the box already tuned and the bridge setup was super low and crunchy just how I like. The neck has a nice satin finish so it’s easy to slide up and down as you please. Fairly wide neck, but not too wide. It’s comfortable and i have medium sized hands. The action feels pretty good too. If your bass doesn’t come set up as good as mine, don’t get upset. With a little tweaking, this baby has the potential to make you think twice about throwing down a grand on a high end bass. I was expecting a lot less for this price but I was very surprised at how much nicer this thing is than some of the higher end basses I’ve played. The range of tones you can get out of this thing is insane. I’d recommend this bass to anyone looking for that newest addition to their collection weather they are just starting out or have been playing for years.

I have just started playing bass after a few years of Guitar and Ukulele. While I personally don't have another bass to compare it to, I will say that it feels smooth. The pickups are great to "hook" onto while fingering and it sounds great! I love the design of the headstock and I love the fans (though I know those are just standard on bass). The color is absolutely fantastic and overall it's my favorite instrument to play!

First of all...I don't know anything about bass's but have owned many guitars over the years. My kid was interested in learning bass. I wanted to start inexpensive for the normal reasons. Based on reviews I chose this one. For what you pay I have to say this is a well made instrument. I have nothing to compare it to but the tuning keys, action, and neck/fretboard all seem to be nice and tight. I play with it some myself. We use an acoustic bass amp with it. I think a guitar at this same price point would not be as good, but just an opinion.

I'm more than happy with this bass. First, the color combo with the mint green and maple neck is great and it really stands out. After setting up the action, bow, and intonation, this thing plays and sounds as great as some of the higher end bassses I own. The pickguard was a little scratched up upon delivery but it was bound to get scratched, that's what they're for anyway. If any beginners, or even experienced bassists, are looking for a good bass, this is it.

First bass, sounds good, easy to play. One of the tuner keys was loose, but works. Otherwise the quality looks pretty good. If you don’t own a bass and want to play around with one, can’t go wrong for $170.

I'm a musician with years if experience and I own several top shelf basses from Sadowsky to Vintage Fender to name a few and im professing that this bass gets a Big sound for a sweet price .. ..I read enough positive reviews to convince me to give it a try .. The reviews were very helpful and spot on IMHO ...I have a new found appreciation for Ibanez instruments 😎
