This is the best of 2 different types of tools I used to pull broken plugs. The other one I rented from Autozone and it is a glue to the ceramic but it did not work. This one did the job quicker and easier. I also used the terminal puller and it worked great. This is a MUST if removing the Ford titan 3 valve plugs.

This is a MUST HAVE if changing your plugs on a 3V engine. I had 4 out of 8 plugs break, and this tool got them all out. You need all 4 pieces pictured, as my plugs all broke in a different way, and each tool is used for different scenarios. I followed the Ford TSB and even gave the PB Blaster 4 hours to penetrate. The plugs were soaked when I pulled them. Get this kit, the piece of mind is worth it, and the tool works great! Also, the kit I received is the updated version, so the tap is much better than previous versions. I used this on a 2006 Mustang GT, and have already had friends ask to borrow it for their Fords.

Lifesaver!! I have a 2007 F150 5.4 with 112k and 3 of the 8 original plugs had sheared off. This is the Gen4 version (4 lines on push tool) and the directions were easy to understand and there are many videos out there to assist. Take your time and the tool will work flawlessly. Local shops will charge outrageous prices to perform this job, or tell you they need to remove the head costing well over 1k. Great investment!!

I guess I was lucky and only had 1 plug break, back against the firewall of course. This plug broke clean at the seam. But this tool flattened out the electrode ball sticking up, pushed the porcelain, and pulled the remains out no problem. It was far less effort than I thought it would be, and the actual pulling process only took about 15 min. It took longer to get a heat gun back in there as the instruction say. I put good silicone/PTFE grease on the body threads and anti-sieze on the left handed puller tip threads. My 2 stuck plugs came out as others and Ford have described--get the engine hot, use a breaker bar to just crack the threads, let soak in PB Blaster, work back and forth just a bit and slowly they loosened and freed up. 2 stuck plugs did take about an hour. THANKS to all the reviewers with great tips on this tool and the overall process.

This tool set was just what I needed to extract broken spark plugs on my 5.4L 2006 Ford engine. Four out of 8 plugs broke (original spark plugs) in 3 different ways. This set has all the tools needed to remove them. The written directions were clear but the illustrations at the bottom of the page are too small to be of much use. The You Tube videos available on the use of these tools are very helpful.

This tool is a must have if you plan on changing the spark plugs on the F-150. Doing it ourselves saved us so much money. The dealership warned us they may break during removal and the additional service fee would be 125.00 an hour and typical time getting them out could be up to an hour per plug. During removal, 5 broke. Thankfully we had this prior to starting.

I broke 6 of 8. Naturally the 2 in the front didn't brake. The pictures on the directions for pretty hard to see but if you follow the text it works perfect. They didn't all break the same, almost all I had to extract the Electrode. I did notice that when I was tapping into the spark plug sleeve on the final step I would tighten it then back it off then tighten it more a few times, it would keep going further till it stopped. I would give this tool 6 stars if I could. Have lots of swivel sockets and extensions, you will need them in the back. One more tip when the Steel part with the threads on comes out but the insulator remains in, but won't remain in the socket, I put a small piece of paper towel down in there to wedge the socket tighter on the hex and it would come out in the socket.

Worked like a champ. Great product, well designed, durable. Does exactly what it the manufacturer claims it does. Lisle hit a home run on this one. This tool made a terrible situation a piece of cake. All my plugs broke off at the electrode extension and this tool handled them like it was nothing. The only thing that made me nervous was the pusher pushed a few of the centers a little deeper than I thought they should. I put a thick steel washer on it to reduce the push and I felt much more confident. I didn't have any pieces of plug down inside the cylinders that I could see or pieces that blew out when I blew out the cylinders. Keep the threads clean and oiled between plugs and clean the pusher point as well. Saved me a grand if I was to have the dealership or local shop do the job. I may never need it again but it was worth the money and I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

Since a well known problem with changing plugs in 5.4 triton, called Ford to get price to change plugs, $600 + $50/each broken plug; so call it a $1,000. I asked if $1,000 would be the most I would have to spend, is it guaranteed? Said, nope, probably have to pull the heads since plugs have never been changed and 98k miles, $2,500. Followed all of the videos, Ford bulletins, still broke 5/8. Used Ford's OEM loctite porcelain puller, waist of time, and got stuck in a plug. Bought this, just an unbelievable tool. Took less than 2 hours to pull the broken plugs, even the one with loctite on it. Ford needs to fire whoever designed this setup and hire some Lisle engineers. Even a Ford service manager, a friend of a friend, said that there is no way to get them without pulling the heads.

simply the best. this was the only kit that had the extractor for the whole core. most kits only have the 2 step extraction this one includes the 3rd (first) step. the tool works so well that I was able to remove 4 broken plugs with little more effort than normal plugs. total time needed to extract 4 broken plugs from an expedition, replace all the hardware, start it up and clear the codes for the misfires, and clean up was ~1.5 hours.
