Easy install, works well
Purchased this to add a dashcam to my car without using the ugly cigarette lighter option or splicing any wires and voiding any warranties in the process. This worked very well. I simply connected this to one of the fuses for the rear power window which was located in the driver's footwell then connected it to a mini-USB power cable kit. Simple 10 minute job. With the extra fuses, I can now outfit the rest of my cars too!

My only wish is that It would have been better had they of used a splice and click connector ...
These circuit taps definitely make adding extra things easier. I bought these to connect my power magic pro for my dash camera and it simplified the entire process. My only wish is that It would have been better had they of used a splice and click connector instead of a crimp and connect. Overall not a bad product. Also my connectors didn’t come with fuses, I’m sure it was a packaging error, but Amazon was nice enough to resolve my issue. Still rating 5 stars.

Great for adding components and keeping the fuseblock clean
I've used a couple of these to help with installing dash cams in my wife's and son's cars. I cut the ends off and used heat shrink instead of crimping. They have worked very well for what I've used them for. There is no documentation to tell you which fuse slot is for the original fuse and which is for the tap. The slot closest to the fuse block is for the original.

Great deal, would buy again... but with 5, I probably won't have to!
I bought these because I wanted to add a Dashcam to an existing circuit. I actually only needed the one tap, but after seeing the price at a parts store for ONE, you'd be foolish to not get the 5 for that price. There is nothing fancy here, there's no reason to pay more for a "better product," because they're all the same. (I bought the parts store one to compare and returned it unused)

Better then I imagined
What a great idea. What I didn't know until I got them is they hold two fuses, one to replace the original fuse the the other for the power lead coming off. But here is what is really cool, I used two of these to power my lighter socket on all the time, just pluged on of these into continuous hot, used two fuses in it and then only put the outer fuse in the other tap for the lighter socket feed so only one side of the fuses spade was hot so not to back feed 12 volts into the switched side of the ignition.

Worked great - hard wired GPS to fuse box in car
Worked perfectly for me. A regular gps has annoying wires and uses up your power outlet. Problem solved with 2 cheap parts including this one, and about an hour of time, wired both cars' GPS directly into the fuse box (used socket connectors so its real easy to replace the GPS if needed, used ACC fuse so GPS comes on when you turn the car on and goes off when you turn the car off).

Very helpful product
Easy to use and very convenient if you need to add an accessory jack of something of the sort. Just look at the diagram of your auto fuse box and find a vacant one of the correct amperage capacity that shuts off with the engine or doesn't according to your needs. Connect whatever you need the fuse for first then when that is done just plug the fuse tap in! The only caution is to make sure you purchase the TAP's that are made for the fuses in your car. The length of the contacts vary so if you purchase ones with long contacts and your car uses fuses with short contacts, they will work but you probably won't be able to get the cover back on. If it's the other way around the TAP will probably just fall out.

I keep a pack of these in my shop all the time. Perfect for adding accessories to a vehicle that you want to hard wire in.
These things are just awesome. What else can I say. If you are wireing in an accessory and need to tap into a wire, these are life savers. You don't have to cut and splice into a wire, which can damage the factory wire and expose it to corrosion over time. And a timesaver too. Just run your wire to the fusebox, crimp this onto the hot wire, pull out the fuse and put it into the spot closest to the two prongs, put your new fuse in the second place and pop this thing into the fuse box. It is really that simple. Now. One more thing I have to warn you about. It seems that on a lot of the newer cars and trucks these days, they are using an even smaller fuse than the micro fuses we all are familiar with. Toyota does I know for sure. Those new fuses will not fit in this. Back in the 60-70 they came out with the normal fuse, then they came out with the micro fuse which looks just like the regular fuses, only smaller. Those work. But now, they have another smaller fuse that will fit into the micro slot, but the prongs are flush with the bottom of the fuse. Those will not fit in these. Just know that you may have to buy a regular micro fuse from the auto parts store to replace the factory fuse with this. I always buy a variety pack of extra fuses for all of my vehicles and toss them in the glove box, just in case. I do recommend that for everyone. But hey, it's just a couple of bucks for a variety pack. Anyway, just wanted you to know you may have to buy a regular micro fuse if you have a newer car that uses the new tiny micro fuses that are flush on the bottom. Hope this helps.

just works
Very helpful for "safely" adding accessories to your car. The fit is tight and it seems quite reliable. I've used a couple of these to add a hood light and illuminated fog light switch. I onced shorted the fog light switch while working on it and the add-a-circuit did, in fact, work properly. And lets face it. Do you want to use this nice looking crimp thing, or do you want to tap off a wire? Guess which one won't result in a mess when you screw up.

Very convenient
Want to add anything to your car with a hard wired and built in look? Theses are awesome for just that. Great for any car DIYs that needs a 12v source constantly or just ignition powered. Just have to find a ground somewhere and use the proper fuse for your application.
