This thing is great. Had previously purchased a different model by the same company in 2014 and it still works...handed it off to my husband for sciatica and purchased this model to try out. More powerful, using it right now... Would definitely recommend.

This was way beyond my expectations!

I would absolutely talk to your doctor or a physical therapist before using this product; they will help set your expectations accordingly. I've had this for a week while doing PT for an ongoing knee issue. I was having a bad day, and after using this I was almost instantly able to increase my range of motion. When you get the settings right, with your eyes closed, it feels like a deep tissue massage. I know the science isn't proven AND this certainly isn't going to cure any ailment. It is simply helping with my muscle conditioning, range of motion, and circulation while nursing an injury. My PT Dr. said to avoid putting these on the backs of your legs and calves. The pads seem very durable, but I preferred to use a sock or compression cuff to keep them in place. Start of really low on the meter. The pre-programmed routines vary stimulation level widely, and if you turn it too high, when the higher powered massage kicks in you'll end up squirming a bit.

Helps with pain management and easy to use.

Works really well for pain management. Lots of settings and you can adjust the strength easily. It won't really make pain go away, but you can make a painful area feel 'different' for a while and that can be a huge relief in itself, just like you can get from massage or acupuncture. Be careful about buying third party pads, this one uses a smaller diameter snap-type connector whereas most pads have a large diameter snap connector. You'll need to make sure the replacement pads are specifically compatible with this device. The Omron "long life" pads really don't last very long at all so just assume you will need to invest in third party pads.

Easy to use

This little unit is great. It’s compact and easy to use. I’m a large woman and it suits me just fine. It’s not meant to cover large areas anyways. It’s great for targeting specific problem areas. The controls are easy to read and understand. The pads are comfortable and easy to clean. The lead wires are a good length. The pad holder makes storage simple.

I like the various programs

Works well for the price. There are more expensive units, but this is sufficient for my once in a while needs. I can see how the wire could be an issue if used all the time. I like the various programs...the lower back program is great with the different "kneading" modes it cycles through in the 15 minute program. Tried the max setting at 15 on the lower back program and...you may not want to do that...very "jolting" on some "kneading" modes it goes through on the lower back program. I like the re-usable pads.....just read the instructions on how to clean and how often to clean. I didnt and I ran water over them and did a silly thing and tried to pat it dry with paper towel...well, I ended up buying another pair of pads, because I couldnt get the pieces of paper towel stuck to the gel off.

I works as well as the treatments I've had at a chiropractors office....I use it at a level 14..I use it twice a day, morning and evening. I always know that I can find the highest quality products on Amazon. I just received a second set of pads so I'm always prepared. I had a pinched nerve in my lower back and even with pain meds, and muscle relaxants, the Omron is still my favorite.

Great for pain relief

This device works great! I work out about 5-6 times a week lifting heavy weights and kickboxing. I had started feeling a lot of soreness in my shoulders and heating and icing didn’t seem to fully help. This unit is very simple to use and very effective. Simply hook up the two pads, and align then on both sides of the area in pain. The guide that’s included shows a number of suggestions for placements as well. All of the multiple massage modes are incredibly unique. I was very skeptical that the electric stimulation would be enough to actually generate enough pressure, but it literally works it’s way through the muscle. You have full control over the power level so you can control intensity. So far this has helped a lot for managing pain in my shoulders and my quads!

It really works!!

Amazing little machine! My wife and i use this powerful little device regularly. Sore muscles, arthritis pain, place the two pads on the hurting area according to the instructions, select the mode and bring up the power to a comfortable level. Fifteen minutes later, pain gone without the use of medications! It really works!

Portable, Personal PainRelief

This Portable TENS Machine saved my husband from so much pain. He developed Hip Bursitis, which has now subsided, but at the time, he was really suffering. He had a sciatica type pain from it. The trick was finding the correct placement of the electrode pads. Once we placed the pads on either side of the main pain, as directed, the electric current was able to interfere with the pain signal to the brain. Relief! It is not a cure, but allows pain control so that you can be active. My husband kept the device in his pocket. The leads went from there into his waistband to the pads on his thigh. He selected the levels and could adjust them as needed. This device allowed him to do his normal activities, while controlling his pain. Once on, & it started to twitch, the relief came. A wonderful product. Highly recommend that you try it.

works great

I was going to physical therapy for an issue with my foot and all they were doing was using the TENs machine and ultrasound. I read some research and found that there is no supporting research for the ultrasound and my foot issue but there is for the TENs. Since my copay was $25/visit I realized that it made more sense to just buy a unit so I did. This little unit is excellent and has helped my foot. I use it on level 6 so I have room to climb if I needed to.
