My fiance is a heat addict- if we don't put habaneros in a meal the store was out. I'm not joking. My booty has suffered immeasurably, and I'm a heat lover too. We saw this product on Hot Ones on Youtube so I knew I needed to get it. We had the bottle a total of four days before he used it all. In entirety. He slathered this bad boy on any and everything he ate. I'll be buying again- this had such an interesting heat and taste. I was miserable but in a delightful "more daddy" way. Worth the try even if you're not a pepper banger. Hoping next roundabout I get more than a single chicken wing to "try" the flavor and actually enjoy it myself.

HotOne's Secret is out - get your Aardvark on!

If you've seen HotOnes on YouTube, you've seen folks eat this and let me tell you, it's manageable for those who aren't looking to kill themselves with hot sauce but want to step up their hot sauce game with something flavorful. This works really well on various foods and would be killer on some BBQ brisket. I mostly use this to pep up my microwave magic meals that are supposed to be healthy for me but don't really deliver the flavor. A little bit of this (or a lot), gives me some flavor punch and turns what some folks would turn their noses up at into something pretty tasty. Oh and the squeeze bottle is perfect, best thing ever for a sauce like this.

Flavorful with good spice, but not bitter after taste. Good everyday eating sauce.

This is a pretty great hot sauce. I first saw it on the youtube show 'Hot Ones'. I feel like a lot of people checking out this sauce may have seen it there. This is one of my go-tos for everyday eating. It's spicy, but not killer, with a lot of flavor. You can put it on many different types of food without the flavors clashing. Kind of like if I eat buffalo wings and drink budwiser, the flavor combo is gross, but I can drink a becks or rolling rock. Most importantly for me, it's not bitter. Typically, when you have hot peppers in a sauce, you get a strong bitter taste. I get that when I try carolina reaper jerky for instance. Good flavor with a bitter aftertaste. You don't get that with this sauce. It's a little loose, so it's more of a drizzle than a sauce. I tend to like it best on pizza, tacos, and chicken. I'm sure it would be great on a number of other dishes as well.

Top Tier Sauce

I've been using aardvark for quite some time and it's still one of my favorite sauces. At any given time i have 3-5 hot sauces in my fridge and this one always hits the spot. This sauce has replaced sriracha for me. Don't get me wrong, i'll always use sriracha for pho or most asian foods. This sauce is just great on EVERYTHING( Pizza, meats, eggs, fried rice). It's a bargain for the price and the amount you get. It tastes very similar to the Hot Ones sauce at a fraction of the price. I've become desensitized to the spice so it might be a bit "hot" for some, but if you like spicy foods/sauces definitely give this one a try.

I've tasted it all

I love hot sauce. Not Louisiana style - vinegar forward, no thanks. I love hot sauce that tastes like peppers, spices, seasoning, and damn, this delivers. This has a base that's maybe carrot and onion, but with a healthy dose of habaneros - and i have grown enough habaneros to know the heat. This is phenomenal. i make my own hot sauce out of mutant garden-grown peppers. If you could taste these peppers you'd go nuts. But as a standardized product, I am SERIOUSLY condoning this hot sauce. It is balanced, rich, sweet, but hot. The heat is from habaneros and other peppers,... I was about to say, but I want to hold that taste for myself. This is the best hot sauce I've tried.. Palo Alto Firefighters Ghost Chili is the next most flavorful. Carolina Reaper sauce from the farmer's market in Raleigh NC is the most terrifying, unsurvivable, miserable (rewarding) and flavorful and amazing (punishing and terrifying) flavor you will ever put in your mouth. But... This sauce is good. So good that I'll always keep it around, even though I make my own sauce. I have 20+ sauces on my counter and Bunster's might be the only other one worth it. Aardvark is incredible.

Amalgam

I was skeptical, I admit it. However, I was also intrigued and so I ordered the Secret Aardvark. My bottle lasted less than 4 days. The intrigue continued after the sauce arrived, which contributed to its quick consumption. The flavor is an almalgam, as the title of this review implies. It is sweet, savory, tangy and spicy. The consistency is thick, which makes this sauce the perfect compliment to all dishes from simple white rice to grilled chicken breasts. The flavor is reminiscent of South Carolina mustard sauce with a big kick from the habanero chilis. The bottle I ordered was pretty spicy but I could still taste the complexity of the ingredients in this sauce. I have ordered two bottles as gifts for others who appreciate a great hot sauce. I will be ordering more for myself.

one of my favorites

I saw this sauce praised on The Hot Ones so I thought I’d give it a try and I’m very glad I did. I bought it at the same time as Dirty Dick’s Hot Sauce so it’s hard for me not to compare the two. They’re both a flavorful mix of heat and sweet although I think Dick’s leans more to the sweet side whereas Secret Aardvark is a little hotter and less complex.That being said, Secret Aardvark isn’t overly hot so you’ll go through a bottle fairly quickly. I use it on everything although I’m especially fond of it on eggs, chicken and fish. I use it instead of other sauces when I’m wanting something a little hotter but not overwhelming. It’s now one of my regularly-used hot sauces.

Excellent Hot sauce with flavor and textures! A lot of hot sauce has heat but no flavor. A lot of hot sauce has heat but no texture. I love secret aardvark. It's flavorful, with nice mouth feel. If you're a lover of vinegar sauce then this is not for you.

My new favorite hot sauce.

One of the best (of hundreds) purchases I've made in my >8 years on Amazon. This stuff is hot! But it's also delicious. A lot of really-hot hot sauce is just punishing to eat without offering much to enjoy, but I found this sauce to be so delicious that it makes you want more and more until your mouth is on fire. Buying one bottle of it is expensive, but it becomes a better value when you go for the 3 (or more) packs. Enjoy!

Not a generic hot sauce! Fantastic @ HOT!

FIrstly, i'm a hot sauce and hot pepper fan... my opinions on how 'hot' something is are skewed... my 'medium' is probably most people's "OMW what's wrong with you, that tastes like fire!" :) So, I first had this stuff as a condiment at the Corbett fish house in Portland, Oregon. The sauce I ordered here on amazon was DEFINITELY the same sauce! Fiery and full of flavor, it sits between the savory and sweet ends of the spectrum right in the middle. If you like hot sauce that has a lot of flavor AND is a genuinely medium-hot, Secret aardvark is great stuff.
