The product is great. It is very study and it ads a nice look to the truck. it is also a 2 man job. You need someone that fits under the vehicle, and someone that holds the sidesteps which are on the heavy side. The driver side took me about 30 min to install, and the passenger side about 10 minutes. I decided to read the instructions after struggling with the driver side. Also, use common sense. The instructions are intended as a lose guide, not as a car specific step by step. Also try you tubing some videos.

Awesome running boards, with some notes that I haven't seen in the many other reviews I've read. See attached pics for reference. I installed these on a 2010 Ram 1500 crew cab that I just purchased. I needed something for my young kids, wife and elderly mother to get in and out easier. After many hours of research I went with these cause I liked the full rubberized top, the 4" stepping surface and the aluminum material, which should hold up better than steel ones. A few notes: These rails can be installed two ways. There are three equally separated hole locations on the bottom to attach to the brackets. There is a "short" end and there is a "long" end. I intend to install mud flaps to help protect not only my paint but the rails themselves, however in my research no one mentions this little fact, and the pictures I saw varied in how they sat against the front wheel well. Some pictures showed them go into the well deep enough that you couldn't put on mud flaps, others showed it stop short. In my pics you'll see that if you install with the short end forward, there is plenty of room to install flaps, and the nice part is that the extended piece on the back allows you a one-foot step up to get at the back of the bed near the cab. On 2009 and 2010 Ram 1500 models, you will need to drill two holes into the seam weld to brace the front driver's side bracket. I can tell you that this is by far the worst part of the install. After mounting and leveling the brackets and rails, I drilled a small pilot hole from the inside of the seam weld to the outside. Then, I used a 1 foot long 1/4 inch bit and a high powered corded drill to drill the holes back through from the outside. This alone took over 30 minutes, that is not an easy hole to drill. When done, I had to clean up the metal on the inside with a dremel before mounting the brace to the bracket. Even though not included (not sure why), I think I'm going to finish off the driver's front bracket with the second set of washer/locking washer/nut just for added support. I think I'm also going to take off the brace and put a gob of grease in between the washers to prevent the new holes I put in the body from rusting. Last note, I was shorted one bolt for the rail attachment to the brackets, which required a home depot run. All in all the install took me about 3.5 hours, and was a pain in the 90 degree heat, but I am very pleased with the end results. The rail is sturdy and has no problem handling me at 6 foot 2 and 240 pounds. It barely moves. Now that I see the rail allows for mudflaps, I placed my order today. Hope this helps you make a decision, if you aren't afraid of doing some work, go for these rails. UPDATE 7/14/16: I installed the mudflaps I ordered (also from amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AX7O5XM/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which I would HIGHLY suggest, and have attached an updated pic of the front drivers side for reference.

The product arrived on time, all parts and hardware was correct. I have read reviews about improper labeling, and hardware missing or defects. This was not the case for me. The instructions are not that great, but multiple onkine videos at YouTube and common sense goes a long way. I firat layed out the hardware for each side and looked geometry to make sure it lined up. The install only took 1 1/2 hours (90 minutes). This was going slow and double checking fit, and such. The rails are very sturdy, and they can support over 300 lbs with no problems. The no drill install is great and my truck did not have the inserts already in the locations as I have seen on 1500 RAMs. The middle bracket location is a bit tricky but with patience it only took about 2 minutes to get the backing brace into place for the primary mounting bracket.

I love the way they look on the truck and like the fact that the are one piece aluminum with no endcaps to lose. At 5'11" and 275 they support my weight with no problems. Took me about 1.5 hours to install myself while laying on the ground. I bolted everything loosely, adjusted the brackets and bracket supports individually and tightened them as i went along. I agree with other reviewers that the bolts should be painted black as you can notice the gold and silver colored bolts and nuts. Minor thing, but tomorrow I'll be underneath the truck spraying everything black.

The 5" iBoards fit my 2016 Ram Big Horn Crew Cab perfectly. I had heard that there was an issue with the bracket needed for the driver's side front on 2016 Rams. This is not an issue. There is now an extra bracket and fasteners for 2016 Rams included, along with the old style bracket in the packaging. The instructions are also rewritten to include 2016 Rams. I had also heard that there might be clearance issues with the leading edge of the iBoards and OEM factory front mud flaps. This is not an issue. There is 3 5/8" (92 mm) clearance between the iBoards and the front mud flaps. Just make sure to assemble everything finger tight so that you can adjust for fitment and you wont have any issues, then tighten it all up. Great product for a good price.

I just finished installing these and would give them an A+ rating for value. I would call them minimalist in appearance and construction, but they are very sturdy and, to me, look really good. The brackets are very strong steel and the running boards are a good grade of aluminum with heavy rubber step surface. They arrived with no damage from shipping and all required parts included. No drilling was required on my vehicle, however, Dodge only installed welded in nuts on the front mounting holes so the supplied bracket-like fittings were needed. This was very disappointing (shame on Dodge), but the good news was that the kit included the needed brackets and they worked well (Use the safety retainers supplied and take care not to drop them into the body cavity). Couple of notes: the instructions could be improved, but they were adequate if read carefully. Organize the parts before starting and note where the long and short M6 bolts and large and small M6 washers are used. I used blue locktite only where a nylon locknut was not supplied and that is in just a couple of spots.

Installed these on my 2016 Ram 1500 Crew Cab. To my surprise the kit included an alternate bracket for the [Left Front Driver] mounting position -which for 2016 Rams did not agree with a factory installed bracket. Also included was the necessary M8 1.25 30mm bolts for the factory pre-installed (frame) nuts, there are two you will use for the front brackets (one each left and right). Having read many reviews previous -I purchased the M8 1.25 30mm bolts from HDep in advance -but I am happy to return them. "No cutting of the front driver bracket" was necessary, as others have had to do. The instruction manual also indicated "2016" models in the assembly steps. Once the driver side was installed, the passenger side was a snap - about 20minutes tops. The steps have a rubberized top side, and provides traction under the foot when you step on it. The whole assembly does give a hint of "flex" but nothing to worry about. I weight 180, and the flex was minimal. The mounting hardware (nuts and bolts) is somewhat visible. I will address this with a shot of black paint (no big deal). I did mount the boards with the front aligning to the front door edge (fender line), which gave me four additional inches aft of the cab -near the bed. This works for me as It gives me step space near the rear wheel (but not fully). Overall, satisfied with the product, the Amazon price and Prime service.

I ordered a brushed aluminum set last year for my half ton and those have worked out great to this day. Just last week from the date of this review, I purchased a RAM 2500 (black on white) and I thought it would be nice to put the matte black color boards on. I ordered, they arrived, I was not disappointed. I went with a 5 inch. As with the first set, the installation; while time consuming, was fairly easy. On this particular install, I had to use the small brackets with nuts/bolts welded to them because this truck body does not have pre- threaded holes, as my half ton did. It takes a little bit longer but at the end of the day, its all worth it. I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a nice set of running boards for their RAM but trying to avoid the cost of oem. Quick tips: - Be careful not to over torque when tightening the T bolts that hold the boards to the 3 brackets on each side. I made the mistake of snapping one but I'm sure 1 out of the 12 that hold the board down will not be a big deal. - As others have mentioned, it helps to organize all of your hardware and place parts/hardware next to the installation area.

Installed them on my 2017 Dodge Ram Crew Cab Big Horn. I started with ensuring product is correctly compatible with your vehicle. Next, I separated all the parts in piles then gather tools. I used a ratchet with two sockets and matching wrenches. Directions said install in about two hours. I worked by myself at ground level, and finished in about two hours. These running boards look great and are very sturdy. These don't give an inch. I highly recommend them to everyone considering adding boards to their truck. My wife and kids loves them:-)

I just installed these on my 12' Ram Crew Sport. They look fantastic and are very study. They support my 240lbs very easily. Here is some advice for installing: Make sure to pull everything out of the box and sit the correct piece by the sides of the truck. Also organize and place together all the correct bolts, nuts, and washers together (this will save you much time in the end). The kit comes with 7 braces...but you only use 6. The extra support brace is used on certain vehicles. My RAM used the 6 normal supports. The whole install took me 2 hours or so...I took my time unwrapping and organizing everything. All you need is a couple of sockets and you are good to go. After I figured out how to put one bracket on, it only took me maybe 20 minutes to install the other 5. This is a great product and if you have basic mechanical skills then you can install yourself.
