AFTER NINE MONTHS: They still work perfectly. I now take it for granted that I can see at night no matter where I pass in my house and can't imagine my life before I had them, nor can I imagine it without them. When not on in the day, they blend perfectly but when you do notice them they are attractive. Of all the products I have ever gotten from Amazon (and there hare hundreds), this is one of my favorite purchases. ORIGINAL REVIEW: It is amazing how useful they are and how many places you find yourself needing them. They are non-conspicuous and the light is good. It is easy to unscrew them for new batteries and they seem to not use batteries too often. I have a large house and going through it at night is now very easy. I dropped one twice and seemed to suffer no ill effects. I have at least a dozen and they all work perfectly.

Bought these to use as cupboard lights. At first, they didn't work the way I wanted because the light sensor would prevent them from going on. Even in a fairly dark room they would not go on. So, as another review suggested, I disabled the light sensor so it would go on even in light rooms when motion was detected. Except instead of breaking off the light sensor, I simply covered it with black electrical tape. Now they work great!

I used this product inside of a wooden trunk I made out of pallets. The trunk has a hole cut in the side for cats and their litter box is inside so the dogs can't get to it. I figured it would be pretty dark in there with the lid closed, so I went searching for some battery-powered LED lights with a motion sensor so the cats could actually see. This product seemed like the best choice for price and ease of install. I haven't been disappointed with my purchase. So far it works great for the cats, but it also works great when I open the trunk at night to check on the litter box. The motion sensor seems to have a great range of vision, as it typically turns on from just my opening of the trunk lid, which has got to be at least 150° from the light installed on the inside of the front of the trunk. I like the warm white light as well, because I don't need to see what's going on in the litter box crystal clear... just enough to know. It also doesn't seem to bug the cats when they go in.

I bought this light to replace a Mr. Beams light that I had installed at the top of our front door to illuminate a digital keypad lock. I was finding the Mr. Beams light to be a bit too dim for that purpose. Here's a comparison of the two: Brightness: Amir is so much brighter (6 light elements vs 1). The Amir light just barely fits between our front door and the storm door on the top jamb and now illuminates the digital keypad better. Light Sensitivity: Mr. Beams turns on even when it isn't that dark outside, for example, when it's cloudy or when it's late afternoon. Amir doesn't. Aiming: Amir shines outward. Mr. Beams shines downward. Size: Amir is more compact (3 1/8" diameter x 5/8" depth excluding the motion sensor bump vs. 3 3/8" x 3 3/8" x 1 1/8" for Mr. Beams). Mounting: Mr. Beams can be attached to a flat surface with adhesive or screws or be placed standing up on a shelf or the floor. Amir can be mounted on a flat surface with adhesive, screws, or via the magnet embedded in the light base. Ease of battery replacement: Mr. Beams requires a flat-head screwdriver or a dime to open two screws. Amir is much easier (detach the light from its base by turning counterclockwise). Price: almost $8 for Amir, almost $10 for Mr. Beams. Mr. Beams is better suited as a nightlight. InnoGear is better for applications requiring a brighter light.

Received product in a timely manner and in good condition. Installed batteries and experimented with different locations within my gun safe. After determining the best locations, I tested out the motion sensors and all 3 lights worked as advertised. The magnets on the back of each light are strong enough to hold them in place. These lights do not have selector switches for on/off, they simply turn on when motion is detected within about a foot or foot and a half. When motion is no longer detected, they automatically turn off after 20 seconds. Be aware that these lights only function if it is dark to begin with. If there is fairly bright light in the area to begin with, they will not illuminate. My gun safe is in a walk-in closet and if the light in the closet is on when I open the safe door, the lights will not come on. If I do not turn on the closet light and open the safe door, the lights immediately illuminate. This is exactly what I was looking for, but if you are looking for motion sensor lights that come on no matter the amount of ambient light in the immediate area, then these would not be what you're looking for. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. All three lights work as they intended to work. Price is right as well.

So far they are wonderful!! Was not expecting them to be as petite as they were but I like that they are! Work wonderful for hallways so kids can see where they are going if they wake up in the night. Photo shows light on top of staircase with me taking the photo from the bottom. I had no flash on or other lights on and it lit up the whole staircase!

Great low-tech approach motion sensor lighting. The lights each take 3-AAA batteries, not included. I expect them to last awhile as LED doesn't draw much from a battery. In an old house with limited outlets this was a great solution. I used the magnet on one to attach waist level to the refrigerator as our sink and cabinet for medication is directly across. The others are placed low in doorways to act as a pathway to the bathroom. No plugs, no smart phone needed and works well.

My kids had a habit of waking up in the middle of the night and leaving the lights on. I saw these and loved the idea of a battery operated, motion sensor lights! They use 3 aaa batteries, they have a magnet in the back so if you need to place them on a metallic surface, it's perfect. It also comes with 3 double sided, circular tape to place these any where. The lights are about the size of your palm. The sensors are perfectly sensitive but does not work if a light is on near by. After only a week, I love these!!!! I can't wait to see my next light bill. Also a but of advice.. before placing these, I asked one of my kids to walk down the dark chosen hall way to get an idea of which areas she gravitates toward. This way the motion sensor would pick up the move ment. Also make sure to place these up high enough so small animals won't continuously trigger the sensors.

Our basement stairs are, like most basement steps, dark at night. The previous owners installed lights at the top and at the bottom of the steps, but both are controlled exclusively from the top of the stairs. So, when we wanted to watch TV, we'd have to turn on the lights, go downstairs, turn on lights down there, then go back upstairs and turn off the lights. These lights really are exactly what we needed. They're simple to install, low-priced, and only on when you need them - they are not only motion-activated, but also won't turn on unless it's dark. They have a decent range too, so you only need to be about 3ft away and they'll turn on. Nearly every day we use these we remark on how fantastic they are. Thanks for a great product that works well!

Bought two boxes of these and I really like them. I put two in a dark entry way from the garage, two in the litter box area under the steps, one in the foyer, and one in a bathroom. These motion lights will only turn on if it is dark enough and if you have two lights together in a small area one of them might produce enough light to cause the other to not turn on. I've also noticed that they don't light up as quickly if I'm wearing dark clothes, I have black and white undershirts I wear around the house and the motion sensors pickup the white shirts much quicker than the black ones. UPDATE 10/22/2016 - Out of all six lights I had one kill the batteries already but I'm thinking one of the batteries might have been bad or something because the other lights, including the second one in that same hallway are still working.
